Lingering Doting Marriage: Big Boss, Little Sweet Heart

Chapter 2619: Chapter 2628: What a Deep Father-Son Bond

Haha, she really asked!

Adam Sinclair’s face turned dark, clearly frustrated by her, ”A lifetime.”

”If you break the contract before it ends, you’ll have to pay me liquidated damages. It’s not much; compensating with yourself is just about enough.”

”...” So it turns out it doesn’t matter if she wants to go along or not. Once you’re on his pirate ship, there’s no getting off. One way or another, you have to give yourself up.

On the other side, when Alexander Sinclair returned backstage and saw the sweet interaction between the couple up front, his expression darkened significantly.

Especially seeing Adam Sinclair holding Olivia Lewis’s hand, his expression was as if Adam was holding his woman, filled with anger.

At this moment, Benjamin Sinclair happened to walk over. Seeing him standing in the corner lost in thought, he unhappily asked, ”Where did you go just now? I couldn’t find you anywhere.”

”Uh, Dad.” Alexander quickly regained his attention and said respectfully, ”I just went to the bathroom. I saw you were busy, so I didn’t tell you. Is there something wrong?”

Benjamin had already swallowed much frustration from Adam Sinclair earlier, and now he was particularly appreciative of Alexander’s respectful attitude. His expression softened as he said, ”Nothing. I just ran into your Uncle Thomas and wanted to introduce you to him, but couldn’t find you, so I let it go.”

”Dad...” Alexander was visibly moved.

Benjamin’s expression softened further, and he spoke more gently, reassuring him, ”It’s nothing. Next time I have a business meeting with your Uncle Thomas, I’ll take you with me and introduce you then.”

Alexander knew that the Uncle Thomas he mentioned was one of the major shareholders of Sinclair Group. If he could successfully connect with him, it would greatly help his way into the Board of Directors.

Though he was eager for Benjamin to take him to meet him right away, he had to suppress his excitement and not show it, ”Thank you, Dad, for worrying so much about me.”

His words were well put.

Benjamin reached out affectionately to pat him on the shoulder, deeply moved, ”Children are always a debt to their parents. It’s our job to worry about you. Everything we do is for your good; we would never harm you. You’ve always been less of a worry than Adam, ah, I owe you so much.”

”Dad, what are you talking about? You’ve been more than good to me; you’ve never owed me anything. Just giving me life is the greatest gift. Mom thinks the same way—we never expected anything from you. We understand how hard things are for you. We just hope not to be a burden to you.” Alexander said, his eyes turning red as if he couldn’t control his emotions under agitation.

”Good boy. You’re a good son to Dad.” Benjamin patted his shoulder heavily with satisfaction, hesitated a moment, then continued, ”Alexander, though I hate to say it, I still have to remind you. Don’t set your sights on the Sinclair Family. Grandpa already has a will set for Adam to take my place in the future. Of course, I won’t let you down either. You’ve faced a lot with your mom over the years. I’ll secure a spot for you on the Board of Directors. When my time is up, my real estate is yours too. I still hope you two brothers can get along well.

Adam was spoiled by his mom from a young age. Sometimes he speaks bluntly. As his brother, don’t hold it against him. Give him a little more leeway, okay?”

Fury surged in Alexander’s heart. He wanted to say that he was just born ten days before Adam. If he hadn’t been a month premature, technically, given that his mom was pregnant before Sydney Sullivan, he should be the younger brother.
