Lingering Doting Marriage: Big Boss, Little Sweet Heart

Chapter 2610: Chapter 2619: Don’t Tell Me Your Dad Is Really in the Car!

”Leigh?” Of course he knew Leigh, that’s the Director of ”Assassin’s Chronicles” that Olivia Lewis was filming. A director in the entertainment industry with noteworthy talent.

”Yeah, it’s him who screwed me over. I was already there when he called to say he had some urgent matter and couldn’t make it, so he asked a friend to bring the script to me. How was I supposed to know his friend was August Oliver?”

Seeing August Oliver scared her to death.

Not that she was really afraid, just that she was a bit unsure how to face August Oliver.

She didn’t want to hurt him, but feared she might inadvertently cause him pain.

”Why would Leigh’s friend be August Oliver?” Adam Sinclair seized the key point, ”Even if they were both in the entertainment industry, August Oliver is into music, he has no real connection with Leigh, right?”

It must be said, he was spot on.

Olivia Lewis stiffened, realizing she had slipped up, she quickly tried to laugh it off, ”Well... maybe Leigh’s earlier film had asked August Oliver to do the music.”

To prevent Adam Sinclair from asking further, she bit back and deflected, ”How should I know how they know each other? The entertainment industry is just a circle, lots of networks, probably just bumped into each other.”

Adam Sinclair himself managed several entertainment companies, so he roughly understood the survival rules of the entertainment industry. Indeed, just like Olivia Lewis had said, the entertainment industry is a circle, full of surprising networks.

He successfully bought into Olivia Lewis’s diversion, gripping her hand tightly, he said in a low voice, ”Later, come with me to attend the ribbon-cutting ceremony.”

”What ribbon-cutting ceremony?” Olivia Lewis felt her wrist suddenly tighten in his grip, bewildered, she looked up, ”Weren’t you just saying that to August Oliver? There really is a ribbon-cutting ceremony?”

Wait a minute...

She suddenly realized.

With a look of horror, trembling she asked, ”Don’t tell me your dad is really in that car!” Her gaze darted to the Lincoln parked by the roadside, she swallowed hard.

Merde!!!!

She clearly didn’t check her astrology today before heading out, what’s all this about, her poor heart couldn’t take the shock.

”It’s true.” Adam Sinclair shattered her last shred of hope, speaking elegantly and deeply, ”Today is a ribbon-cutting ceremony for a Sinclair Corporation project, my dad’s there, my mom isn’t attending due to her health. I plan to take you along.”

Olivia Lewis didn’t hesitate, ”I’m not going!”

What a joke, she had never even met his dad!

Even though she hadn’t met him, she could already imagine his character from his mom’s last description, and could say, the chances of his dad liking her was almost nonexistent.

If she brazenly followed Adam Sinclair to attend the ribbon-cutting ceremony with them, it would be asking for trouble.

She didn’t have masochistic tendencies.

”Over my dead body will I go!” She gritted her teeth, trying to wrench Adam Sinclair’s hand away, looking as if she was ready to bolt.

Adam Sinclair was amused by her defiance, even his gloomy face cleared up, revealing a genuine smile, ”So what you mean is if you’re not dead you’d go? Don’t worry, I won’t hit you, let alone kill you.”

”I mean I won’t go! No way I’d go!” Olivia Lewis didn’t want to waste words with him, her heart was racing, as long as she didn’t have to go, anything would do.

Adam Sinclair held her wrist firmly, allowing her to struggle but refusing to let go, watching as Olivia Lewis used both hands, he narrowed his eyes, suddenly pulling her into his embrace, arms locked around her waist, he said seriously and earnestly, ”We’re going to get married, you can’t just keep avoiding my family forever!”
