Lingering Doting Marriage: Big Boss, Little Sweet Heart

Chapter 2615: Chapter 2624: I Just Feel Like You Understand Me

”Because...” Alexander looked hesitant, took a deep breath, and then looked at her, saying, ”Because he misunderstood my mom.”

”Hmm?” Is he about to say that Sydney Sullivan was the mistress who intruded on his parents’ ’great love’?

”It’s like this...”

Alexander told Olivia Lewis the story of the entanglement between the three people back then. Although the general content was similar, the story from his mouth was completely different from what Sydney Sullivan had told her. In his version of the story, his mom seemed like a kind, helpless, pitiful, and deeply affectionate woman. Whereas Sydney Sullivan was portrayed as the malicious woman who relied on her family background to tear apart two people in love. It’s just like one of those melodramatic soap operas that her little boy Bobby loves watching.

”Over the years, my mom has always wanted to apologize to Mrs. Sullivan, but Mrs. Sullivan has never been willing to see my mom. Every time they met, she would speak harshly to my mom. That’s why the misunderstanding between Adam and me has grown deeper.”

Olivia Lewis couldn’t hold back her laughter; she forced herself to suppress it, blinked innocently, maintaining her ’naive and innocent’ tactic in front of Benjamin Sinclair, and interrupted him, weakly asking, ”Uh, I don’t really get what you mean.”

Olivia was still very beautiful; otherwise, she wouldn’t be voted as one of the world’s most attractive faces by the media so frequently. When she restrained her personality and blinked, she looked even more charming, like a fox spirit. Alexander’s eyes were fixed, and his voice unconsciously became gentle, ”What don’t you understand?”

Olivia noticed the change in his gaze and forced herself to restrain from feeling sick, saying, ”You mean Aunt knew that your mom and President Sinclair were lovers, yet she forcibly married President Sinclair, thus ruining their relationship and being the intruder. But wasn’t President Sinclair the one who was getting married? Aunt had other choices back then; it was President Sinclair who chose not to avoid it for the inheritance.”

She did not give Alexander a chance to speak and continued, ”Moreover, your mom and President Sinclair were not married at the time, so morally speaking, it doesn’t count as a mistress intrusion. What I find strange is what happened later. Later your mom knew President Sinclair was married and had a wife, yet she secretly stayed with President Sinclair. That’s the part that’s not right.”

Alexander didn’t expect Olivia’s words to be simply elegant, but each one was so sharp, almost piercing through the facade he put over their extramarital affair. He forced a sorrowful expression, looking at Olivia with melancholy, saying, ”I don’t know if you’ve ever truly loved someone, Olivia. A woman, who truly falls in love with a man, can’t refuse him. Even if her heart suffers and struggles, she’ll still succumb to love...”

Olivia really wanted to jump up and spray him with a comment about nonsense love, claiming to be a mistress is what it is, love, is it so great that it can intrude into someone’s marriage? It’s just shameless. Her mouth twitched, forcibly suppressing the impatience in her heart, and she went along, saying, ”... Indeed.”

She didn’t want to hear this man’s nonsense anymore, raised her head, and directly got to the point, ”But what’s the use of telling me this, I’m just a junior, it’s impossible for me to judge who’s right or wrong in the elders’ matters.”

He’s probably trying to get her to persuade Sydney Sullivan.

Alexander saw that she already had a conflicted expression on her face, so he seized the opportunity to step forward and say, ”I know it’s a bit sudden to talk about this with you, Olivia. I just felt a sense of closeness when I saw you for some reason and always feel like you can understand me.”
