Lingering Doting Marriage: Big Boss, Little Sweet Heart

Chapter 2616: Chapter 2625: The Ace of Scumbags

What the hell!

What do you mean!

Why is he not playing by the script.

What does he mean by saying he thought she could understand him? After all the acting, wasn’t it to persuade Adam Sinclair’s mom to speak on their behalf?

Olivia Lewis frowned, took two steps back, and continued to widen the distance between them.

Alexander Sinclair probably realized he might have scared her, so he abruptly stopped, looking both emotionally overwhelmed and regretful, ”I’m sorry, I just scared you. Actually, I...”

He seemed like a bewildered young man just entering society, clumsy in front of the girl he liked, sneaking a peek at Olivia Lewis before saying, ”I’ve liked you for a long time, Olivia.”

He waved his hand, looking a bit shy, nervously stammering, ”What I mean is... I like watching your movies. Back then, my life was a mess, and I couldn’t find any direction. I couldn’t understand why someone like me, who was born carrying the burdens of the previous generation’s mistakes, should continue living in this world.”

His eyes suddenly lit up and he looked at her with deep emotion, ”Until I saw you, from the first moment I laid eyes on you, I just... couldn’t help but fall for you. Every move you make captivates my attention, I couldn’t take my eyes off you. But I was someone who couldn’t stand in the light, I had nothing at that time and was not worthy of you. So I never sought you out. Olivia, I didn’t expect to meet you here, and I don’t even know what I’m saying now, why I’m saying all this in front of you, I just can’t control myself...”

Olivia Lewis initially found him only mildly disgusting, but now she found him utterly repulsive.

Alexander Sinclair’s performance now would have been barely enough to deceive a naive little girl, thinking he could fool her was an understatement. After years of maneuvering in the entertainment industry, his acting couldn’t hold up in front of her.

She figured out what Alexander was trying to do.

His previous setup wasn’t meant to make her a mediator to persuade Adam or Adam’s mom to accept their presence.

It was to set up a pitifully inspiring image of himself, just to pull this act in front of her later, the goal being to compete with Adam for her.

She reckoned this man was so twisted with jealousy towards Adam that it was eating him up inside. He had to suppress himself around Benjamin Sinclair, putting on a front of not competing in order to win Benjamin’s favor. This constant act bottled up too much frustration inside him, which he could only vent through little schemes in the dark.

Like competing with Adam for a woman.

From Alexander’s performance just now, she guessed that the rival Sydney Sullivan mentioned, who almost went on a blind date with Adam before, was most likely fooled by this same act.

She couldn’t hide her inner disgust, regrettably there was no camera here, otherwise, she would love to record this man’s current behavior and show it to his fiancée.

She feigned a shocked, surprised, and helpless expression, covering her mouth while widening her eyes and looking at him, ”What are you saying.”

Alexander Sinclair focused on her pretty face, eyes filled with greed and jealousy, gentlemanly approaching her, filled with hypocritical ’affection’, ”Olivia, I’m really...”

3, 2, 1—

Damn!

Just as he was getting too close, trying to take advantage, Olivia Lewis suddenly kneed him, hitting him right in his most vulnerable spot—
