Lingering Doting Marriage: Big Boss, Little Sweet Heart

Chapter 1421: Chapter 1421: Baron Lawrence Will Cook Himself? Chapter 1421: Chapter 1421: Baron Lawrence Will Cook Himself? Before long, the fish bobbed to the surface, no longer supported by the buoyancy of the water, the rod in Enna Clark’s hands grew heavier, and with the considerable strength of the fish, she had to exert all her effort just to keep the fish from escaping.

But whether it was her imagination or not, she couldn’t help feeling that if this kept up, the fish might not get away, but the rod was about to snap.

Just at that moment, a fishing net accurately scooped up the thrashing fish from the water’s surface.

It was Baron Lawrence!

Once the fish was brought ashore, Enna Clark could finally see the fish she had caught clearly.

It was quite big, a dull gray without scales, and indistinguishable as any particular type of fish.

Behind them, Scott Harris exclaimed with surprise, “Ms. Clark, you’re really lucky; catching such a big salmon on your first sea fishing trip.”

“This is salmon?” Enna Clark, pointing at the fish flapping on the deck, was a bit incredulous.

The salmon she bought at the supermarket was always orange; she had thought that salmon themselves were orange, or at least a reddish-orange.

She hadn’t expected them to look so drab on the outside.

“Yes, this is salmon. The taste is the freshest when salmon is caught from the sea and eaten straight away. Ms. Clark, should I have the chef prepare some fish fillet for you?”

No sooner had he finished speaking than the haughty man had picked up the fish by the tail, speaking indifferently, “I’ll do it.”

“Baron Lawrence, you’re going to do it?” Enna Clark looked at the man in front of her as if she had heard something unimaginable.

He was actually offering to cook voluntarily?

The likelihood of that happening was as unbelievable as Mars crashing into Earth!

Before she could recover from her shock, she remembered the time this man had once attempted to cook for her… Beer Duck.

It was supposed to be Beer Duck, but when it came time to serve, it had turned into Red Wine Chicken. The worst part was, he didn’t even bother to cut the chicken into pieces; he simply threw a whole chicken into the pot, stewed it in red wine, and then served up a dish of “dark cuisine” that left her stomach upset for an entire day.

Although preparing Salmon Sashimi is much simpler than Beer Duck, given his prior performance, Enna Clark remained skeptical about his culinary skills.

She hesitated before tentatively suggesting, “Um, didn’t you dislike doing these things? Maybe we should let the chef handle it.”

“Shit, you don’t believe me?” He was just bad-tempered, not stupid nor blind; her expression was full of indecision, which clearly indicated a fear of him cooking.

Did she even know who he was?

How much were his hands worth?

That he was willing to personally prepare Salmon Sashimi for her, and she was neither grateful nor appreciative; instead, she dared to disdain his effort—was she tired of living?

Did she have any idea how many women dreamed of having him cook for them, and he did not even feel like it?

Baron Lawrence’s chest heaved, and his piercing gaze fixed on Enna Clark; his demeanor was almost as if he wanted to strangle her with his gaze.

Enna Clark knew that if she dared to speak the truth at this moment, it would definitely detonate an atomic bomb, so she cleverly shifted the topic, “How do you prepare this salmon? Do you need to remove the skin first? I’ve only bought it in supermarkets before and haven’t seen it fresh; I really want to see how it’s done, so I can learn for next time.”

“…” Baron Lawrence really wanted to tell her that her feigning was too obvious; anyone not blind could see her shifty eyes but, upon catching her vibrant and relaxed demeanor, for some reason, the words caught in his throat turned into, “You don’t know this! Foolish! Come with me.”

With that, he strode toward the cabin.

Enna Clark let out a long sigh of relief and followed in his footsteps.
