Lingering Doting Marriage: Big Boss, Little Sweet Heart

Chapter 1408: Chapter 1408: Encountering Someone I Didn’t Want to See Again Chapter 1408: Chapter 1408: Encountering Someone I Didn’t Want to See Again “Look at how miserable I am now, come sunbathe with me.”

Enna Clark couldn’t argue with her and was forcibly dragged away.

She was pulled all the way to change into a swimsuit, and then dragged to the beach.

The entire vacation resort was by the sea, with a large stretch of beautiful beach sectioned off as the private beach of the resort.

Theoretically, since Baron Lawrence had booked the resort, clearing the area, there shouldn’t have been anyone else on the beach apart from them.

However, when Enna Clark and her arrived at the beach, they discovered there were not just people there but quite a few of them.

Not far away, more than twenty people were gathered at the most beautiful spot on the beach, occupying all the beach chairs, bustling about.

Olivia Lewis frowned as she looked at the busy crowd on the beach and asked, “Enna, didn’t Young Master Lawrence book the whole resort? What are all these people doing? Shooting an advertisement?”

Enna Clark suddenly remembered, indeed, there was such an event, “Yeah, it seems like there’s an advertisement being shot here today, it’s for a Lawrence Branch Office.”

Olivia Lewis had an epiphany, “I see.”

Pulling Enna Clark, she said cheerily, “Let’s go then, no sunbathing today, we’ll come back tomorrow.”

Enna Clark also didn’t wish to interact with Miranda Lewis and nodded, “Okay.”

However, some people just couldn’t take a hint and were utterly oblivious. Just as Enna Clark was about to turn around, Miranda Lewis called out to her from behind, “Enna!”

Enna Clark pretended not to hear.

Oblivious, Olivia Lewis tugged at her, “Someone’s calling you.”

Enna Clark had no choice but to stop.

Accompanied by her assistant, Miranda Lewis had already made her way over. Upon seeing Enna Clark, she scrutinized her from top to bottom and then, with jealousy, forced a smile, “Enna, what are you doing here? And dressed like… this…”

Didn’t she know that she had to wear a swimsuit today for the jewelry advertisement shoot?

It must be intentional!

At first, Olivia Lewis thought they were on good terms, but as soon as Miranda Lewis opened her mouth, Olivia detected the underlying intent. Not waiting for Enna Clark to respond, she raised her eyebrow, “What’s wrong with this outfit? Shouldn’t one wear a swimsuit at the beach? Or should I wrap up in a quilted coat? Ridiculous!”

Miranda Lewis was suddenly taken aback by her retort, barely able to maintain her smile. She then turned her gaze toward Olivia Lewis. When she saw Olivia’s face, she obviously paused, “You are…”

Enna Clark didn’t want to waste her time, grabbed Olivia’s arm, and said indifferently, “Let’s go, Olivia.”

Miranda Lewis’s eyes suddenly widened in realization—Olivia? It really was Olivia Lewis!

She had always compared herself to Olivia but had never met her in person. Acting on impulse, she called out to Enna Clark, “Enna, don’t rush off. We haven’t seen each other in a while. Let’s sit down and have a drink. Your friend too, the three of us can have a drink together.”

Enna Clark had never seen someone so clingy. She stopped, took a deep breath, turned around, and with an icy gaze that could freeze, said coldly, “Aren’t you supposed to be working? Still got time to drink? If you really don’t want to work anymore, tell me earlier, and I’ll get them to replace someone.”

That was said with no regard for courtesy.

Miranda Lewis felt a slap to the face with that comment, and couldn’t retaliate in front of her assistant. Her face turned various shades of white, red, and green—quite a sight. After a while, she stammered, “I meant after I’m done shooting, we could have a drink.”

“No time.”

Miranda Lewis’s already awkward face stiffened even further, “Since you don’t have time, never mind then. Enna, go ahead with what you’re doing, I won’t bother you.”

Enna Clark gave her a once-over, then walked away, pulling Olivia Lewis with her.
