Lingering Doting Marriage: Big Boss, Little Sweet Heart

Chapter 1404: Chapter 1404: Enna, I Want to Break Up with Adam Sinclair Chapter 1404: Chapter 1404: Enna, I Want to Break Up with Adam Sinclair Olivia Lewis’s face, which had been contorted in pain, finally relaxed as she exhaled and said with a giggle, “I got it, I’ll try not to eat it. Thank you, Enna.”

Enna Clark just felt that her seemingly carefree smile was particularly piercing to the eye. She bit her lower lip and asked with a stern expression, “Young Master Sinclair is outside, he can’t hear us. Can you tell me now, what really happened to your face?”

At the mention of Adam Sinclair’s name, Olivia hesitated for a moment, then forced a smile as if she had nothing to hide, “Nothing much, it’s just like I told you earlier. The actress I was acting with got too into her role and hit me for real, and this is the result.”

“Olivia!” Enna Clark said with a headache, “Do you think I would believe that? Even Bobby wouldn’t believe that story! Even if the actor who was performing with you was fully into the character, could they make your face look like this? With so many people on set, were they all blind, not seeing what happened to let her hurt you like this? Do you think that’s possible?”

With Olivia’s current status, the crew would only be extremely cautious to protect her.

Those in the entertainment industry knew about the powerful backing behind her. Anyone with a functioning brain wouldn’t dare cross Adam Sinclair and bully her.

Let alone scratching her face like this.

So, Olivia’s lie was too fake, so fake that even a three-year-old wouldn’t believe it.

Startled by her serious demeanor, Olivia’s frivolous smile slowly faded, and she dropped her gaze, making it hard to discern the emotions in her eyes. She said, “It was done by Adam Sinclair’s mom.”

“Adam Sinclair’s mom?”

Olivia took a deep breath, lifted her head, and put on a carefree expression again, “Adam Sinclair’s mom came to the set with his blind date and started hitting me without saying a word. You know me, if we were around the same age, I would have fought back long ago. Unfortunately, she’s a whole generation older, and if I laid a hand on her and she even slightly hurt herself, it’d be blamed on me. By tomorrow, it would be all over the internet that I hit an elderly person, and I might as well kiss my career goodbye. So I endured it! Who knew his mom, looking all demure, could hit so viciously.”

She spoke lightly, even joking about her face, “If I had known I’d be beaten up like this, I would have fought back at the time! What a loss! Such a huge loss!”

She was downplaying the severity, but Enna Clark could guess how the situation was and knew Olivia must be feeling terrible inside.

If it were anyone else, Enna would have stood up for Olivia under such injustice.

But since it involved Adam Sinclair’s mom, and the matter also concerned Olivia and Adam’s relationship, it wasn’t her place to interfere, to avoid complicating things further.

Enna Clark held her slightly cold hand and said nothing.

Olivia stiffened for a moment then suddenly turned, looking at her, and abruptly asked, “Hey, Enna, do you think I should break up with Adam Sinclair?”

“You want to break up with Young Master Sinclair?” Enna Clark had predicted this possibility ever since she learned the truth, but she was still surprised to hear Olivia say it and advised, “I think you’d better think this through before making a decision.”

Olivia shrugged her shoulders, “I’ve thought about it, and breaking up doesn’t really matter to me. After all, I’ve made it to the top-tier now; I’m not short of money or scripts coming my way.”
