Lingering Doting Marriage: Big Boss, Little Sweet Heart

Chapter 1412: Chapter 1412: Sorry, Ms. Clark Doesn’t Have Time to See You Chapter 1412: Chapter 1412: Sorry, Ms. Clark Doesn’t Have Time to See You Despite being a top manager with several famous artists under her belt, and having a wide network in the industry, today her face was repeatedly trampled on the ground, and she couldn’t help but lose her composure. She turned her head to look at Miranda Lewis next to her, with her makeup done to perfection, and after holding back for a while, she said, “Lily, didn’t you say that the young lady beside Young Master Lawrence is your cousin? Didn’t you go to ask your cousin to speak to Young Master Lawrence on our behalf yesterday? What is your cousin doing? Why would Young Master Lawrence suddenly not allow us to shoot here anymore? Are you really on good terms with your cousin?”

Miranda Lewis was even more frustrated than her; since yesterday, her face had been smacked numerous times, almost to the point of swelling. If it weren’t for the fact that she had injected too much hyaluronic acid and her facial muscles had stiffened, she would hardly be able to keep her expression steady.

“I don’t know, we used to get along really well.”

“Get along well and yet she treats you like this? Why?” Andie said with dissatisfaction in her tone.

“This…,” Miranda Lewis seemed helpless as she replied, “Maybe my cousin misunderstood… She always thinks I’m trying to steal… you know.”

What “you know” meant was self-evident.

Andie indeed understood immediately, and her eyes filled with more dissatisfaction, letting out a scornful laugh, “You can’t hold onto a man by being defensive; her acting like this shows she’s immature. A narrow-minded, immature woman is bound to be short on luck.”

“I don’t know about Ms. Clark’s luck, but ever since I met Ms. Clark, she has always been lucky, and it seems she’ll continue to be lucky. But your luck definitely won’t last long,” an unexpected voice interjected.

While Miranda Lewis and Andie had been talking in innuendos, avoiding naming anyone directly from beginning to end, the resort manager was not familiar with Enna Clark and didn’t know the relationship between Miranda Lewis and Enna Clark, so they had no idea who they were talking about.

Scott Harris was different; he had met Miranda Lewis and knew the relation between Miranda Lewis and Enna Clark.

So when he overheard Miranda Lewis and her manager disparaging Enna Clark behind her back, his first reaction was anger.

However, due to his well-mannered upbringing and the disciplined spirit of a housekeeper, he didn’t lose his temper, but his attitude was obviously not very friendly.

The resort manager recognized him, and his heart skipped a beat, “Mr. Harris, you’re here? Is Young Master Lawrence…”

When the manager looked up, he spotted Baron Lawrence and Enna Clark not far away, and cold sweat immediately broke out on his forehead.

It was over, Young Master Lawrence had already come out.

He couldn’t worry about that now and urged with a serious expression, “Ms. Lillian, we truly cannot allow you to film here, please leave.”

This time, they really didn’t give her any face.

Miranda Lewis’s face turned green, then red, then white as she glared in the direction of Enna Clark, almost grinding her teeth to pieces!

Enna Clark!

It must have been her! It must have been that she saw herself filming the commercial here, and after going back, she said something to Baron Lawrence, causing him to suddenly want her gone!

Miranda Lewis’s hands by her sides clenched tightly into fists, and she didn’t even realize her nails were digging into her flesh because she was squeezing so hard. Forcing a smile, she said to Scott Harris, “May I see Enna, please?”

Scott Harris, who had seen plenty of women putting on airs, immediately saw through the jealousy hidden beneath her smile, and coldly refused, “Sorry, Ms. Clark and Lord Lawrence are together, they don’t have time to see you.”
