Chapter 25: Chapter- 25: Ranking

*Five days later*

Today is finally the day of the entrance ceremony of Royal Magic Academy and the classes will start tomorrow.

The entrance ceremony is going to be grand because the representative of the freshmen this year is none other than the second prince Lucian Ripon.

Honestly I dodged the bullet by little margin otherwise I had to give the entrance speech.

Actually the result came two days ago and I am ranked 2nd in the entrance exam.

My written test marks might not be in the top 5 but thanks to the full marks in the practical test I ranked 2nd in the overall exam.

And I was not the only one who got the full marks in the practical test, there was also one other student; Elena.

Well Elena defeated her opponent in a single move and used an advance spell at that, so her combat skills were evident.

But because her written test marks were lower than mine, she got 3rd place in the overall exam.

By the way I am on my way to the academy in my carriage and with my luggage. It is still early in the morning but I need to go to the academy.

Actually it is because I have to make sure that all my luggage gets safely delivered to my dorm room.

Although the work will be done by the servants but I have to see through all my things to make sure that I am not missing anything.

When I looked outside, I saw a few other carriages heading towards the academy. And I recognized the crest of the Cama family on one of them.

Seems like Ian also noticed me as he waved his hand from inside his carriage. We soon reached the East Gate of the Academy.

Outside the East Gate there usually exists lots of peddlers and stalls put up to sell food and various other items for students of the Academy.

But right now, there are not any because it’s still early in the morning.

We headed directly toward the dormitory area.

The Dormitory has the largest building in the academy. It encompasses a wide area and has a straight wall in the middle that completely separates the male and female dormitory.

Though the dorm rooms in this academy are really big and fitting for nobles but there is one inconvenience.

They are sharing rooms.

Means two students will have to stay together. It’s for the sake of teaching the students to adjust with others.

Being noble, many of the students are spoiled children and thus need this kind of teaching.

Otherwise what is the use of sending them in the academy’s dorm instead of renting a room or a house?

”My room number is 12”

Ian said as he is given the key by the staff.

”And this is yours sir”

The middle aged man who is handling the allotment of the dorm rooms gave me my key.

”Huh!? What a coincidence”

I showed Ian my key with the number ’12’ written on it. Unexpectedly we got the same room.

Well that cleared out one problem. If we were to be paired with a senior then it would have been troublesome.

....

After getting our luggage to the room, the servants sent by our families left.

Ian and I looked around the dorm room.

The room is really good. Space, basic facilities, the scenery from the window, sunlight, absolutely all details give satisfaction.

The room also has a small partition, so the sharing is really not much of a problem.

It also has separate closets with locks so we can safely leave our things in it without any worry.

Ian took the left side of the room so I settled my things on the right side.

There is enough space to arrange all our things but we don’t have much time right now as the entrance ceremony is going to start soon.

We put on our uniforms.

The uniform consists of a white collared shirt with black trim, silver buttons, black tie, coupled with dark navy blue trousers.

Over this, we wear black robe with silver trim, and white lining. The material is very soft and comfortable to wear.

Every student got two sets from the academy, we can order extra on our own expenses.

We wore our unify and left the dorm room as we headed towards the main academy building.

Walking through the corridor, I noticed some students gathered near a bulletin board. It has the results of the entrance test posted on it.

”Let’s check out the marks”

Ian said as he walked towards the crowd of the students.

Although individual results have been sent by the academy to each student, it didn’t mention the score of other students.

While in this bulletin board there is a complete list of students and their marks. There are actually three lists with the students divided into three classes.

Those with the highest marks will get into the class ’A’ and those with the lowest will get into class ’C’ and average score ones will be in class ’B’.

”How can it be!? I defeated you in the test so why am I also in class ’C’!?”

Isn’t this the stupid duo from that day?

What were their names?.....Mason and Breek.

Mason is complaining in frustration as he holds his head with both hands.

Meanwhile Breek is laughing at him. Dude isn’t sad about getting low marks, instead he is happy that his friend didn’t get the higher marks.

What a friendship.

Ian and I made our way to the bulletin and looked through the list of class ’A’. I got the 2nd place in the entrance test so obviously I am in the class ’A’.

Ian got 9th place so he is also in the same class as me.

The most noticeable is undoubtedly the 1st ranked prince Lucian who didn’t get full marks in either of the tests but still got the overall highest marks.

I am just two marks behind him and Elena is one mark behind me.

Elena and I are the only ones who got full marks in the practical test. While there’s also two student who got full marks in the written test and I know one of them.

The heroine Hina Blessen. She is really an intelligent girl since she able to get full marks in the written test and also able to secure 5th position in the overall exam.

But the person in 4th place who also got full marks in the written exam is someone I don’t remember at all, Kajol Karnis.

Don’t know if this Kajol Karnis was in the game or not, but since she able to get better result than the heroine then she should be someone important. So why can’t I recall her?

”Oh princess Kajol got 4th place!”

I heard a female student nearby saying that.

*What? A Princess?*
