THE GOD EATER

The rank 5 seer immediately did the same thing he did the last time. He immediately cut off the connection of the Knowledge Network Life Ability. Unfortunately for him, Loki was ready.

Loki activated the Mind Freeze Metac and froze the Mental World. Then he constructed the Mind Node leisurely.

After constructing the first Mind Node, he constructed the second one just in case. Then he got to work constructing Mind Bombs.

One Mind Bomb would be enough to blow half the mind to pieces and leave the other half with fractures. But he didn’t stop with just one Mind Bomb. He constructed 12 of them around the Mind Nodes in the arrangement of a clock.

When he was done with this, he clapped his mental hands and said, “That should work nicely. Let’s put it to work and see.”

Then he deactivated the Mind Freeze Metac. This allowed the rank 5 seer to resume his thoughts.

His thoughts were still on cutting off the manifestation of his Life Ability in the mind of his thrall, who is called an attendant. He continued to do that as soon as he could think again.

Not only did he shut off that manifestation, but he also shut down every other manifestation in his thralls in that city. That way, the intruder won’t be able to take advantage of them again.

But this was still too late because Loki had already constructed the Mind Nodes. When he noticed what had happened in his Mental World, he realized that it was too late. He could only feel despair.

His despair was so great that he immediately decided to commit suicide. This was because he believed that only death could save him from this unfortunate situation.

He was right to commit suicide, but before he could execute his intentions, the power of the Hypnotize Metac kicked in and swept through his Mental World along with Loki’s voice.

Loki’s voice came out of a Mind Node, saying, “There is no need for such drastic actions. I’m sure we can talk things out and come to an arrangement.”

It was Loki who spoke, but to the seer, it was his inner voice that spoke. What this inner voice said was also convincing, so the seer decided to talk things out.

Loki said, “As long as you answer all of my questions, I will let you go.”

This is a promise that even an initiate won’t believe so easily, but the rank 5 seer didn’t suspect anything at all. He immediately believed what Loki said and was willing to answer every question.

He even sighed in relief and said, “As long as you let me go, I will tell you anything you want to know.”

The ego in his mind, which was the little man in his Mental World, was the one who spoke. Without knowing it, the eyes of this little man had already glazed over, and he was talking without thinking things through.

Loki wasn’t one to stand on ceremony. He immediately asked a question that had been bothering him for a long time.

He said, “Are dragons extinct?”

The seer immediately said, “Dragons are extinct in the Blessed Heaven World. They were hunted into extinction by the Four Directions Sect, the Myriad Phenomenon Sect, the Nexus of Truth Sect, and the Martial Body Sect.”

“The Sword Way Sect hadn’t been established when the dragons officially went extinct. It was said that the disciples of the Martial Body Sect were the ones who hunted the most dragons. They used the flesh of dragons to create Metacs, and they used the reputation of killing dragons to become divine beings.”

“But the dragons are only extinct in the Blessed Heaven World. They might still be present in other worlds in the Sea of Worlds. There is also a possibility that they might still be dragons hiding in the Cave Heaven of certain divine beings.”

“The theory that dragons are hiding in Cave Heavens is valid because Cave Heavens can hold living things. But if this is true, then it is possible that the ancient divine dragons are still alive.”

Loki’s eyes gleamed when he heard this detailed answer to his question. When the seer was done speaking, he patted himself on the back and said, ’I was right. This is better than forcefully searching his mind.’

’This way, I can ask him as many questions as I want without his mind breaking up. What could be better?’

Then he asked another question, saying, “I expected dragons to be very strong, considering how large their energy wells are said to be. If they are so strong, how could humans with an energy well of 90 units possibly defeat them?”

This is another thing that has been bothering him a lot ever since he advanced to rank 5. His Power Core Stat is 900 units, which makes it nearly impossible for any rank 5 cultivator to be a match for him, so he can’t believe that humans were able to hunt dragons.

His voice was laced with the poisonous power of the Hypnotize Metac, so there was no way for the seer to resist. The seer immediately replied, saying, “Dragons were talented and strong because they were the children of the world. I don’t know exactly what being the children of the world meant, but I know that they had the support of the world and could automatically become divine beings after growing up.”

“However, something happened to them that made dragons lose the support of the world. This weakened them in that they stopped being able to become divine beings.”

“On the other hand, humans began to take their place and become divine beings. So it became easy for humans to bully and hunt them into extinction.”

This made Loki say, “Oh. Is the fact that one can increase their talent when they become divine beings related to why dragons have such high talents?”

The tiny man replied with glazed eyes, saying, “No, it is not.”
