THE GOD EATER

Because of the realness of the colorful natural wonder in his mind, the changes going on in his energy well and his Mind Palace made it as if the natural wonder was actually fusing with both his energy well and the Mind Palace. There was a flickering multicolored light around both his energy well and his mind palace.

For his energy well, the fusion with the natural wonder made it more solid. So his energy well stopped being an intangible object within the void at the center of his existence and became a physical object called a power core.

As for his Mind Palace, the changes were mostly caused by the colorful light of the natural wonder. The colorful light from the natural wonder diffused into his Mind Palace and spread throughout, touching everything in it.

As the colorful light touched the phantom copies of the Metacs in his Mind Palace, it passed through the phantom copies of Branch Metacs as if they weren’t there. But the colorful light was stopped and absorbed by the Core Metacs and his Life Ability.

His Core Metacs and his Life Ability stopped being translucent phantoms after the colorful light shone on them. They became solid and real as they absorbed the colorful light of the natural wonder.

The same thing was going on with the tiny copy of himself in his mind. In fact, his whole mind was becoming colorful and real with every moment.

Then the colorful light reached the boundaries of the crystal Mind Palace and began to expand it. This made the Mind Palace grow bigger while the Core Metacs and Life Ability in his Mind Palace grew more solid by the moment, as if they were real.

This sight made him click his tongue and say, ’So this must be how rank 5 cultivators can reincarnate with their Core Metac and Life Ability.’

’The Core Metac and the Life have been solidified in their minds, so when they reincarnate with their Mental World, they can bring their Core Metac and Life Ability along. How ingenious.’

He hasn’t reached that stage where he can reincarnate with his Mental World yet, as that will still take some time to accomplish. So he decided to do something useful to pass the time during the process.

As it is, the only thing he could do right now is think, and the only thing he could think about is how to become a divine being. After all, he is about to advance to rank 5, so the next step after that will be to advance to rank 6.

He started his train of thought by sighing and saying to himself, ’To think that after 17 years, I too will be seeing a glimpse of rank 6 and preparing to become a divine being. How time flies.’

After sighing, he thought, ’According to her, becoming a divine being is divided into two parts. These two parts are the Divine Metac and the divine position.’

’These two are called the key and the door, respectively. The Divine Metac is the key, and it grants access to the divine position.’

’The divine position is the door, and it will only open for a specific key. So just because one has a Divine Metac doesn’t mean that they will be able to gain access to any divine position. A divine position is usually only opened by a single specific Divine Metac.’

’In fact, according to her experience, having both the key and the door isn’t enough to become a divine being because one would still need to go through the passage that has been opened in the door. So if one can’t survive the process of passing through the door, they will die and die permanently without any chance of reincarnation instead of ascending.’

At this point, he sighed again. Then he said, ’That’s just the requirement for people who have a free divine position above them. If there is a divine being already filling that divine position, then things will become more complicated.’

’A normal person who wants to become a divine being only needs to acquire the key and use it to gain access to the door. But for those people who have divine beings blocking the way, they have to create a new key and a new door to fit that key.’

’So people like Lady Red and me have to create a new Divine Metac. Then we must also create a new divine position to fit the key into. What a hassle.’

This was why he sighed again. Apparently, the difficulty of becoming a divine being while there is another divine being with his Life Ability is exponentially more difficult than taking up an available divine position.

However, despite the exponential difficulty, his eyes were still full of hope. His eyes were shiny with hope and anticipation as he said to himself, ’Fortunately, hope is not lost. Creating a divine position is possible. In fact, creating a new divine position is easier than creating a Divine Metac.’

’According to her research, the process of transforming a mutated Life Metac is to fuse the mutated Life Metac with the symbol of authority of a small world. If the two are compatible, a successful fusion will occur.’

’If the laws of the small world are compatible with the pathway, the symbol of authority will be compatible with the mutated Life Ability. This compatibility will ensure a smooth fusion between them that will transform the mutated Life Ability into a Divine Metac.’

At this point, he shook his head and said, ’It sounds simple, but high compatibility between the Life Ability and the symbol of authority is very difficult to achieve. One would have to go around searching for compatible worlds.’

’Probably only forgers have a good method to ensure compatibility by forging the symbol of authority into something compatible. But that still doesn’t change the fact that the symbol of authority is the source of power of a world king, and world kings are usually rank 6 beings.’
