The Forensic Doctor Better Than a Detective

”A fracture is the same; if this fracture occurred before death, then it’s likely that a callus might form in the fracture gaps, which is new tissue generated during the healing process.”

”We can determine this through trace evidence detection.”

Chen Biao suddenly realized, ”Although I don’t understand much about this professional knowledge, what you say makes a lot of sense.”

”Our laboratory has an electron microscope, which should meet the testing needs.”

”That’s great.”

Jiang An nodded, ”Later, we can use an electron microscope to observe the area and see if there are any life reactions before death, which is crucial for determining the nature of the case.”

Upon hearing this, a serious expression appeared on Wang Yang’s face again.

”If it’s indeed as Captain Jiang An said, and the fracture occurred before death, then the nature of this case changes, making the investigation potentially more complex.”

Jiang An stood up, turned to look at the site where the torso was found not far away, and then glanced at the skull on the ground, said: ”Mr. Wang, actually, from the scene, although the skull and torso are separated, they are not completely unrelated as we might imagine.”

”The deceased’s skull is spherical. After falling, it rolled down the slope to this place, where it was fortunately buried under the soil.”

”Because it was buried in the soil, it was spared from animal gnawing and exposure to wind and sun, allowing it to remain relatively intact.”

”Furthermore, the organic matter formed after the skull decomposed nourished the land, which is why the grass here is so lush.”

Upon hearing this, Wang Yang nodded repeatedly, excitedly saying, ”Guys, I think this moment calls for applause!”

”Mr. Jiang is absolutely right!”

”He deduced the location of the skull just from the growth state of the plants, completely overturning my understanding, it’s amazing!”

”I’ve never seen such an impressive criminal investigation expert!”

Instantly, the applause resounded through the forest again, and everyone’s face was filled with admiration and praise.

Wang Yang looked at Jiang An, his eyes filled with even more envy.

He couldn’t help but ask, ”Captain Jiang, do you think the deceased fell from being suspended on the tree, resulting in suicide?”

”Suicide?”

Jiang An turned his head to look at the pine tree, shook his head, ”It can’t be determined yet.”

”What can be confirmed is that the body was once hung here, those cloth strips are evidence.”

”As for whether it was hung before death or hung after death.”

”With only the White Bone available, the bones of the head are extremely critical.”

Jiang An then returned to the place where the torso was found, looked around, observing the surrounding environment.

This place is located halfway up the mountain, neither at the peak nor at the foot.

He asked, ”Are there many residents nearby?”

Wang Yang replied, ”At the foot of the mountain, there are around two thousand households.”

”We’ve already conducted a thorough investigation of these two thousand households, but we haven’t found any suspicious individuals and haven’t received any missing persons reports.”

Upon hearing this, Jiang An nodded and said, ”I think we should still focus on investigating missing persons in the later stage, we must first find out the identity of the deceased.”

”Next, we plan to send it to Dragon Country’s Ministry of Public Security for skull imaging simulation, publish a collaborative investigation notice, and strive to confirm the deceased’s identity as soon as possible.”

Jiang An smiled and said, ”No need to send it to the Ministry of Public Security, I can perform the skull imaging simulation.”

”You can also perform imaging simulation?”

In an instant, Wang Yang and Chen Biao were even more shocked and speechless, looking at Jiang An as if he were a monster, full of disbelief.

”No... it’s not that we don’t believe you, but we thought that such advanced technology could only be done by experts at the highest identification center in Dragon Country, didn’t expect you could do it.”

Wang Yang stammered and said.

Jiang An smiled, ”I’m self-taught, the accuracy is still guaranteed, I’ve already solved six or seven cases by this method in Jiangcheng.”

Upon hearing this, Wang Yang couldn’t help but laugh: ”This... this is making us feel so embarrassed!”

”Oh, it’s all about mutual learning, mutual discussion, and progressing together.”

Jiang An waved his hand, ”Let’s go, once we return, we’ll start the skull imaging simulation and try to confirm the deceased’s identity as early as possible.”
