Nexus Ascension: My Comprehension Defies the Heaven

Chapter 494: The Cosmos rushing to one singular point

As soon as Grey finished his handiwork, he immediately went onto the internet and began to advertise his world. Considering his hacking skills, it took him less than a second to breach the networks and post the ad.

It was a simple ad. First and foremost, it featured him. The fact that the Nexus Domain was the Saint’s planet would pique a lot of interest without him having to do much. As an additional hook, he also dropped the fact that this was the main planet for the Aetheric Evolutionary Path.

He was not afraid of getting jumped by some random entity because, at the end of the day, he had the Heavenly Dao.

Right now, the entire cosmic internet was going crazy.

[XenonPulse]: Did you guys see the ads that just overtook all the streaming services and forums?

[DragonSlayer_X]: It’s the Saint that destroyed the dragon world.

[AetherFanatic]: Not that. His planet... it is the main planet for the Aetheric Evolutionary Path!? You guys saw it too, right?

[RogueScholar]: You mean ”that” path? The one that just came out yesterday?

[GalacticNewsJunkie]: Yes. It is currently the top trending news of the cosmos. People across the Human Alliance are now fighting for evolutionary stones to become a pathstrider of that evolutionary path.

[Whisperer]: The evolutionary AI never lies. The fact that its potential could go as far as the 6th rank while being a 5th rank path says a lot about it.

[Pathstrider_Z]: This is insane. I just switched to the 5th rank of the path. It is a stage that doesn’t require the evolutionary stone. I am going there immediately! I am moving there with my family, in fact! To think the new Saint would be a pathstrider of that path.

[FEET_FAN011]: Same! I also switched yesterday. As of now, there are countless beings following the path, and that was just in one day. This path is just too much eye candy for others to ignore. Even the oldest experts are reconsidering after seeing its quirks.

[OldGodsObserver]: I wonder what the forefathers of other evolutionary paths are feeling right now, observing this path.

[CreatorSpace_Novice]: I am a small-time creator who has access to the Creator Space. You guys might not know it, but even the Esper evolutionary path’s author is trying to learn from the Aetheric Evolutionary Path.

[AbyssWatcher]: This power not only contains terrifying combat potential and an overall elevated perfection in all your stats as an evolver, but it also has the terrifying ability to match Abyssal energy!

[FrontlineVeteran]: Everyone and their dogs are now actively hunting down the corruption fields in the alien battlefields. It is said that many of the vice-captains have already switched to the Aetheric Evolutionary Path under the strategic movement of the Seven Disciples of the Arbiter, who are also the Great Marshals overlooking the military.

[CH emperor]: I am the Emperor of the Celestial House Divine Kingdom. I am going there with my fleet right now.

He was not the only one with that exact thought.

Within an hour of publishing the ads, almost 100 million space fleets shot into the Nexus Domain. More than 500 million beings had arrived.

For a world this big, that amount was not much. Some places had 20 if not 40 billion people on one planet alone. The cosmos was vast. Trying to get accurate numbers on the total population of various alien races and the human alliance was pretty hard. Maybe Eterna had a number.

”I am the Emperor of the Celestial House Divine Kingdom, young Saint. You might remember me from the tournament,” the Celestial House Emperor said in a slightly respectful tone.

”Welcome to the Nexus Domain. Do you want to shift your entire kingdom to my world?” Grey asked while rubbing his hands. ”The tax isn’t much, just 10% of whatever you make.”

”This...” The Celestial House Emperor wore a conflicted expression. Wasn’t this too early?

”We provide free access to the simulation tower for the kingdoms that migrate to the Nexus Domain.” Grey pointed at the tower. ”That tower is something created by my master, who is a top-ranked being in the higher world. He tasked me with spreading his path to others, and I believe you already know what my path is capable of.”

”I am aware,” the Celestial House Emperor spoke in a mildly hesitant tone.

”I was planning to switch, but is it possible to get the 6th rank of the Aetheric Evolutionary Path, Sir Grey?”

”Not yet.” Grey coughed. ”I haven’t contacted my master in a while, but it will soon be created. Give it a few months.”

”Only a few months?” The Celestial House Emperor had an overjoyed expression. ”Then, I can wait for as long as needed.”

”Then, I shall shift the divine galaxy of the Celestial House to here. I hope you will be a great assistant to the empire, Sir Grey.”

”I will try my best,” Grey said with a polite smile.

Hence, the first relationship was born, and the Celestial House Emperor decided to move forward with his plans. By now, an additional 500 million people had already descended here.

It had only been two hours, yet the Nexus Domain already had 1 billion people.

Some came for the attractions, some had already jumped into the galactic ring space race, others into the simulation tower, while some entered the hot springs.

[Ting!]

[You’ve received 100,000 Cosmic Credits.]

[You’ve received 100,000 Cosmic Credits.]

He had configured his mind interface to notify him of people buying buildings and houses. By now, more than 10 million people had already bought a house around his main tower. The central parts were filled with spaceships and evolvers moving around. Grey looked at the scene with a small smile.

This was the exact effect he desired.

With this achieved, he went back to find Jeremiah.

---

Jeremiah and Grey now stood in one room.

”Speak. What is the name of your system? How did you get it? Who are you? What is your intention?”

”Brother...” Jeremiah called out to Grey in slight fear.

”I am not your brother,” Grey looked at him with indifference. ”Nor do I know you like that. We are not bound by blood. The only people that are bound to me by blood are my father, my mother, and Julie.”

What he said was correct. As a Fateless One, he couldn’t possibly have any sort of cosmic bond with these people. Anderson, Julie, and Angela were his family in his previous life and would continue staying that way.

[Your comprehension defies the heavens! By observing a Golden Finger, you have gained comprehension over it.]

[You can now see and sense the Golden Finger.]

”Oh, it’s already lit up.” Grey glanced at the golden screen in front of Jeremiah.

[You can see me?] an emotionless voice came from the system.

”I can, Mr. Golden Finger,” Grey said with a small smile. ”And it is not my first time encountering a system user. So stop wasting time and do a self-introduction.”

Jeremiah shuddered hearing this and nodded heavily. ”I am Jeremiah Arclight...”

”Not you.” Grey’s expression darkened. ”Your system,” Grey replied speechlessly.

”My system... oh. I apologize for the mistake.” Jeremiah stammered. ”My system is known as the Strongest System. It gives me quests that I have to complete, which in turn gives me rewards like rank level-ups and such.”

”Hm.” Grey nodded. ”Then, what is the deal with you Golden Fingers? What do you gain out of all this? Why do you guys always find hosts to give them quests?”

[Because that is our origin. The Golden Finger race is a race from the higher worlds. We grow stronger from the Dao of Equivalent Exchange. We take root in a host and give them quests using the power of the Heavenly Dao. In turn, our real selves also get stronger in our world,] the system said in an emotionless tone.

[You, who possess the power to summon the Heavenly Dao, should know about this already. Oh great Heaven’s Son.]

”Heaven’s Son, huh?” Grey chuckled. Indeed, to outsiders, he would look like Heaven’s Son, but the reality was far from that.

[And I would also sincerely like to apologize for initiating a quest to eliminate you. I know you must have already sensed the killing intent from him. Last time I only had a doubt whether you could sense me or not, but after the tournament, it was made clear.]

”Whatever. Just don’t do anything stupid and I will let you live peacefully,” Grey said with a wave of his hand.
