Nexus Ascension: My Comprehension Defies the Heaven

Chapter 479: The Creator’s Ambition! The Untouchable 5th Rank of Nexus

”Yep, you heard it right. But you will have to switch over to my evolutionary path, though,” Grey added with a blink.

”I am willing,” Xia Qingyue said immediately. ”How do we do that?”

Grey made a grabbing motion. Space twisted and turned as he forcefully forged a sub-dimension, completely separating him and Xia Qingyue from the still clueless Evan.

”I will make your soul return to its absolute peak, the peak of the 6th Rank, using my Saintly powers.”

He was referring to his Nexus Saintly Halo’s supreme authority to erase imperfections. It worked flawlessly on a spiritual entity like Xia Qingyue.

His Saintly Halo burst outward, and immediately a brilliant, holy light fell upon the slightly illusory figure of the ancient cultivator.

Even a 6th Ranker possessed a soul. Even with the Origin Core merging into a Cosmos Spiritual Spark at the Mahayana Realm, every single living being carried a soul, with the sole exception of Grey.

His soul had already fully merged with his Source. The meaning of ”Source” was entirely literal for him. It was his soul, body, mind, and matter all combined into one. Whatever structure he possessed, it originated directly from his Source.

As soon as the purifying light finished bathing Xia Qingyue, a deeply shocked look emerged on her flawless face.

”This... is this power related to that mysterious energy you utilized?” Xia Qingyue realized her soul power was completely restored to the peak of the 6th Rank!

With her restored power, she could definitely deal massive, lethal damage to a peak 5th Ranker using just her soul attacks. Of course, directly harming a true 6th Ranker as an incomplete spiritual entity was still too far of a reach for her.

”Maybe,” Grey chuckled. ”Now, take this.”

A beam of concentrated light shot from Grey’s fingertips directly into Xia Qingyue’s mind.

It was a perfect copy of his 5th Rank cultivation method of the aether evolutionary path. He had already forged the path within his Creator Invocation space, and it was completely ready for utilization.

”Enter the Summit of Nexus and anchor yourself onto my path,” Grey instructed with a thin smile.

Anchoring oneself to the Summit of Nexus did not grant them raw power directly, other than forging a conceptual connection to Grey himself. As it stood right now, he was the sole ruler of the Summit of Nexus because there were no other Sparks residing in that void yet.

But with Xia Qingyue, there would finally be another Spark lighting up that space.

Xia Qingyue looked through the transmitted path with a completely dumbfounded expression.

”You... this path... this is completely different from the Origin Will’s established way.”

”I took my time to remake this path from scratch. It no longer follows the hidden rules of evolution set by this universe’s Origin Will. It is a completely separate path that might one day overpower the Origin Will itself.”

During these past few days, Grey had realized something profound. Perhaps the Creator Invocation held a cosmic purpose similar to the Origin Will. The Origin Will was the entity that brought down heavenly tribulations and punishments to maintain the balance of the universe. The Origin Will had the ultimate sanction to summon the Heavenly Dao to test evolvers.

Likewise, Grey had now obtained a similar, terrifying authority.

He could issue tests, trials, and punishments to anyone walking his path. He could perfectly dictate everything his path-striders followed.

He firmly believed this was directly related to the Heavenly Mandate.

Speaking of the Heavenly Mandate, the Heaven’s Fragment was temporarily able to tap into the Heavenly Dao, surpassing it and gaining brief control over reality. But this was a one-time trump card. Unless they found another Lesser Heaven containing a fragment, it would not be able to perform that same miracle again.

Which reminded him, he still had zero news about Ling Fang and the entire geographical region that had vanished overnight from the Blue Star, taking the Priest of High Order and the Lesser Heaven along with it.

He needed to look into that mystery very soon. The fragment was something he needed to claim.

”Do exactly as the manual says. Considering you were a 6th Ranker in the past, comprehending it should be easy for you.”

Xia Qingyue nodded solemnly and did exactly as he instructed.

Soon, she began the process, actively forming her first Nexus Cell by utilizing her 6th Rank soul power as a high-tier substitute for Origin Power.

Grey watched her progress in silence.

The 5th Rank of the Nexus Evolutionary Path was profound and methodical.

---

The First Realm: Source Cell Realm. An evolver formed a Source, and within that Source, they forged six cosmic meridians. These cosmic meridians were formed with the direct help of the Summit of Nexus, and anchoring oneself to it allowed an evolver to precisely shape them. Then, one formed Nexus Cells within these meridians.

The evolver needed to compress and flatten raw frequential power, which was converted from Origin Power, hammering it continuously to the point it reached such a minuscule level that it burst into Nexus Cells. With the Dao of Power’s help, every single part of their Source achieved a qualitative, heaven-defying leap.

----

The second realm, Frequential Helix realm: With the formation of cells came the formation of the frequential helix, and this was the second anchoring process. Within these nexus cells, an evolver must use their frequential power to encode these helix structures which were actually frequencies to elevate one’s presence across the universe which in turn grants immense power to distort the world. These helices acted as literal amplifiers for an evolver’s combat power.

When the evolver channels power out of the nexus cell, the energy ripples through the helices, and each helix multiplies the frequency and lethality of the attack. One nexus cell could contain many helices, this was however entirely based on talent and power. Even he himself didn’t know how many he can form in one cell, but the rule applied to all: The more the better and one needed to encode as many as they can to each cell and fill it to the brim before moving to the next one.

----

The Third Realm: Source Singularity Realm. With the frequential helices fully formed, the final step was integration. It involved merging the cosmic meridian containing the Nexus Cell and the cell itself together to form a true Source Singularity. Each Source Singularity elevated an evolver’s existence on a massive scale. Once all six Source Singularities were successfully formed, the evolver’s Source would fundamentally change and take on a higher dimensional structure. Ordinary beings existing in the third dimension would never even be able to perceive it.

----

This was his completed Nexus Source Realm.

It required no Law, no external support, no nothing.

It was about forging the source to a higher dimensionality.

That was the fifth rank.

And he had to admit. The second stage of his Nexus Source Realm if unleashed into this world could completely reach the seventh rank if not higher depending on one’s talent.

He himself was flabbergasted when he first attained enlightenment over this realm. But this realm was actually an inspiration from the chaos source codex, this meant, this type of power did exist before, but was amplified to a completely new level by his own capable hands.
