Nexus Ascension: My Comprehension Defies the Heaven

Chapter 466: The summit of Nexus.

Whrmm!

The world around Grey constantly shifted and changed. He saw blinding light continuously sweeping past his vision, looking exactly as if he were accelerating toward a distant singularity. Everything that was not him was violently swept away by his pure, conceptual speed.

[System: Your comprehension defies the Heavens! ...#####]

The system words violently glitched. For a split moment, all the powers Grey had obtained until now began to rapidly blink in and out of existence.

The cosmic powers surrounding him were simply too terrified to manifest.

SKREEEEE! Vaurrrrrmm!

High-pitched noises that were completely incomprehensible to Grey continuously rang out in his mind. There was absolutely no stopping it. It felt like he was bypassing all possible powers, all known Daos, all natural laws, and all planes of existence. He was piercing through emptiness itself to reach a place that represented the absolute state.

Time and space completely lost their effect here.

The Nexus was actively calling out to him right now.

His heart beat in a highly unnatural rhythm. Before he even knew it, his body was instinctively circulating the very technique that started it all. It was the primordial breathing technique that perfectly mirrored the energetic pattern of Nexus energy.

Boom!

Blinding light burst out instantly, and he arrived at a place that was completely pitch black.

”Where is this?” Grey frowned deeply.

Everything was utterly pitch black around him. He could not see a single thing.

”Is this the Nexus?” Grey muttered.

There was absolutely nothing around him.

Just then, Grey reached a profound realization. Indeed. There was nothing in here.

”Because no one has ever managed to utilize Nexus energy before.” Grey was completely stunned at the realization.

There was no light lit up in this space strictly because there was no other Nexus user in the endless reality, the higher worlds, or the Ascendant Domain.

He would be the very first to light up this realm.

The Summit of Nexus.

That was exactly what this place was. There was no doubt about it.

”No predecessors, huh?”

In the stories, this was usually where the main character would arrive, speak to their ancient predecessors, and anchor their soul to the universe. Unfortunately, he was not a standard protagonist. He was just a nobody until he crossed over into this world. And now, it was finally time for his true ascension.

The First Transcendence.

It was time to take that monumental step. It was time to firmly anchor his soul and essence into this supreme plane.

The Summit of Nexus.

Right at that exact instant, the Nexus Creator Invocation mark buried deep within Grey blinked with immense, blinding light.

Boom! It burst out of his physical form and shone with boundless cosmic might.

His Mecha race’s inherent ability to observe reality as pure calculation and raw data was unexpectedly activated upon seeing this profound scene.

The Creator Invocation revolved in this empty plane with supreme purpose, and soon the pitch-black world began to ripple.

These ripples were definitely not ordinary. They carried a foundational principle that Grey was intimately familiar with.

This was exactly where it all started.

The Golden Ratio.

It had been with him all along!

Whoosh!

The empty plane violently burst with light. Massive constructs began to form in the flawless shapes of the Golden Ratio all around him, pouring their concentrated essence directly down into Grey’s body.

[System: Soul Integrity: 100%]

The instant the pure power touched his soul, his Soul Integrity, which was once barely clinging onto life support, instantly reached a flawless one hundred percent. The Nexus embodied absolute perfection. How could true perfection ever allow such a glaring imperfection like a cracked soul to exist?

Nexus was the absolute center of all things. Those things could be anything: existence, life, worlds, space, time, matter, or even a single atom. As long as it existed, there would be a central force that controlled it all. No, it existed far above it all to govern reality itself.

That was the Nexus. It was the central anchor point of everything there is.

In the following instant, Grey’s body glitched and became highly irregular as an immense ocean of Origin Power poured violently into him.

Boom! A crack formed in his vision. In the next moment, he was standing directly inside his genetic limiter space.

It was time for his fifth metamorphosis.

The genetic barrier was ever-growing. With each life level he broke, the thickness of the conceptual barrier grew exponentially. This specific barrier right before him was the ultimate threshold to fully unlocking his powers.

Once this heavy barrier was broken, his raw power would reach a state that even he was not sure how far it would go.

The dense Nexus energy threatened to violently overflow and leave his body.

Seeing this, Grey just smiled. Everything he had meticulously built so far all came down to the Nexus. It was officially time for his ascension.

With one final push, his figure violently shifted into his terrifying draconic form. Starting from this exact point forward, he would no longer be mere matter, but pure frequency!

Bzzt!

The world around him buzzed and flickered rapidly as supreme Nexus power gathered violently around his scales.

Boom!

The Nexus power erupted like a cosmic tidal wave. It shot directly through the genetic barrier like a high-caliber sniper round tearing flawlessly through a fragile glass window.

A blinding golden light shone from the absolute center of his core as the Nexus energy and that golden essence perfectly combined and converged.

In the following moment, singular words formed clearly in Grey’s mind.

[Nexus Saint.]

Bzzt! Boom!

[Huh?] The Fragment outside, who had temporarily taken control over the Origin Planet, had a massive change in expression.

Whrmm!

From the exact crater where Grey’s physical body lay, three huge, purple, mechanical-like halos erupted outward.

The instant they appeared, the entire starry sky practically ignited. It looked exactly like a boundless singularity forming across the Origin Planet.

At that sole moment, boundless beings across the entire starry sky, be it the human emperors or the alien races, all looked up in terrifying unison.

An overwhelming urge to kneel down assaulted every single person. A glowing figure slowly floated up into the air, and the three massive halos began to rotate with immense speed as Grey’s mortal body began to completely disintegrate and reform into something higher.

Boom!

The Nexus energy broke out completely from him.

5th Rankers who were standing on the sidelines, including Jeremiah, Evan, Miwa, Juli, and Alissa, felt their knees violently give out from under them. The terrifying Nexus pressure descended completely upon the mortal plane, forcing them to the ground.

High up in the pitch-black sky, ancient golden incantations began to slowly manifest. Buddhist scriptures and the pure presence of the Great Dao formed and twisted into massive shapes of roaring dragons and screeching phoenixes. Everyone across the planet saw the exact same divine vision at once.

It was the terrifying vision of Grey, hovering amidst his supreme Saintly Halos, successfully undergoing his fifth metamorphosis.

”Son?” Angela was completely in a daze as she stared up at the supreme Saintly Halos.

”Sainthood... the ultimate pinnacle... how is this even possible?” Anderson was completely numb. His face showed absolutely no expression, but his entire being was shaken to the core.

So was every single other person standing in that VIP room.

A true Saint had just been born in this world. And this peerless Saint... he had not even been cultivating for a full year!
