Nexus Ascension: My Comprehension Defies the Heaven

Chapter 456: The Origin Planet

Whoosh!

The massive spaceship that carried the Arclight family cut through space. It swept through several thousand galaxies to eventually reach the Origin Galaxy where the Origin Planet was situated.

The Origin Planet was bustling right now. For a hundred years, this planet would have little to no visitors, but once it hit the century mark, it would become full of life again. That was because it was time for the Supreme Pan-Cosmic Human Alliance Tournament to take place.

This tournament would be observed by emperors across the Crown Expanse. The winner would personally receive a supreme gift from all of them combined, along with the ultimate status as a potential Grand Arbiter candidate of the Pan-Cosmic Human Alliance to replace the current one in a thousand years.

The Grand Arbiter oversaw the cosmos and the human alliance. He was the one who gave orders and kept the relationship with the other races going.

And on that note, he was also extremely close with the Dragon Clan, which had a highly special relationship with humanity. Since time immemorial, the dragons had lived inside the human alliance territory. They dwelled in the deepest parts of the cosmos, but that sector was still within the human alliance’s zone. The dragons were not to be messed with. The humans knew that well, and the dragons did not necessarily mingle with the humans, until exactly a year ago when the arrogant dragons descended into the human plane for one sole person.

The Dragon Maiden of this era, Alissa Evernight!

The Dragon Clan was huge with many branches, but the family that held the ruling title was none other than the Evernight family.

And it had to be mentioned that the current Dragon Maiden held a highly special status in the human alliance.

That was being a member of an idol group.

It was highly far-fetched, but the Dragon Clan seemed to have some sort of hidden motive behind this, and they had been unusually friendly with the humans recently.

The Grand Arbiter took this opportunity to build a more ambiguous relationship with the dragons by actively letting Alissa, who was a genius aside from being a pop idol, participate in the tournament.

And without a doubt, if she won it, she would also become an Arbiter candidate.

The tournament was differentiated between age groups and was strictly for the newer generations. From ages 18 to 19, and 20 to 21.

Each group would have two candidates chosen from them. They would then receive the Grand Arbiter candidate title and get direct guidance from the Grand Arbiter and his seven disciples.

If the Grand Arbiter were to step down one day, a successor would be chosen in one decisive battle for power.

It would mark the birth of a new era. But the current Arbiter, Matthew Mitler, had never been replaced since the old era when the founder first disappeared.

”Why exactly are you telling us this?” Jason spoke with a highly bored look on his face. ”Mom, I am pretty sure everyone here is fully aware of the internal affairs of the Pan-Cosmic Alliance considering the fact that we are one of the major families in it.”

Angela chuckled softly hearing her son’s words. ”It is for Grey.”

She shook her head as she eyed Grey, her obedient child who was earnestly listening to her words.

”Also, what happened?” Anderson abruptly chimed in, turning to his son.

He had a highly stern look on his face.

”Did you fail your breakthrough, Jason?” he inquired.

”Ugh...” Jason’s expression immediately fell. Jeremiah, who was sitting not too far from them, had a calm expression on his face as he silently eyed Jason.

”To think you would fail right before the grand tournament. I think it is best if you just stay put in the audience. It is going to be highly dangerous with all the top geniuses of the cosmos arriving here at once.”

”Those geniuses can skip levels entirely, like your older brother Jeremiah,” Anderson added as he eyed the rest of his children.

His underlying words were incredibly clear. He never had much hope for them. The monsters that were going to participate were completely in a different league. Only Juli and Jeremiah even had a slight chance to achieve something close to the top.

Soon, the massive spaceship landed. As soon as it did, a major commotion broke out outside.

It turned out the Emperor of the Aeonic Divine Kingdom and his royal family had landed right behind the spacecraft the Arclight family was in!

However, an even more important matter was that the Dragon Clan had also landed!

They all wore what appeared to be holy white capes flowing from their backs over their dark clothes, maintaining their humanoid forms. All the human geniuses and the biggest emperors respectfully moved away to let them pass.

At the exact same time, livestreams were actively broadcasting the event.

[Chat: Damn, these people sure know how to show off.]

[Chat: The one walking in the front must be the current Patriarch, huh? That old dragon is quite resilient. He has a lot of offspring, and among them is the previous Dragon Maiden who also gave birth to the current Dragon Maiden.]

[Chat: What does a Dragon Maiden even do?]

[Chat: They are something like a holy saint in a church. Their words have as much importance as the Patriarch, and their job is to eventually conceive the next heir to the throne of the Dragon Clan.]

[Chat: Oh. I see.]

[Chat: Yeah, there can only be one ruler, and the dragons strictly want a male dragon as their leader. Naturally.]

[Chat: Sigh... discrimination in the grand cosmic era? What a bunch of losers.]

[Chat: Well, these losers are so powerful to the point that us humans cannot do a single thing to them. It is widely said that the Patriarch of the clan can easily defeat the current Arbiter.]

[Chat: Of course, whether that is true or not remains to be seen.]

”Mom, Grey is missing,” Juli, who was standing close to Angela, suddenly spoke up just as they stood face to face with the royal family of the Aeonic Divine Kingdom.

”What?” Angela showed a deeply baffled expression.

Where could he have possibly gone?

”What happened?” An imposing yet dignified voice spoke out.

The person speaking was none other than the Emperor of the Aeonic Divine Kingdom.

Beside him stood his wife and two children.

The Emperor had blond hair and a neatly trimmed blond beard. He wore a crisp royal uniform, a kingly cape, and a glowing crown that floated slightly above his head.

Next to him was his wife, who looked like she was in her late twenties with striking platinum hair. Next to her were her two kids, both nineteen years old. Her son had platinum hair exactly like his mother, while his sister had blond hair like her father.

They were Oliver and Freya Bourbon.

The Emperor was known as Theo Bourbon, and his wife was Ava Bourbon.

They were fabled experts among the starry sky. Not even Anderson could match the Emperor or his wife in terms of raw power.

There was a strict reason the Arclight family was just a Duke family while Theo and Ava were the Emperor and Empress.

”It is nothing, my lord. My son is simply missing,” Anderson stepped in and spoke respectfully.

Just then, another loud commotion broke out from the courtyard.

”Hey, look over there! Someone just picked a fight with the Dragon Clan!”
