Nexus Ascension: My Comprehension Defies the Heaven

Chapter 465: Heavenly Dao’s Decension

”You have exceeded my expectations,” Azathoth burst out laughing.

”It has not even been a full year since you started your journey of evolution. What takes other people centuries to achieve, you did in mere months. I have to hand it to you. You are vastly better than I expected,” Azathoth praised as dark energy began to revolve violently around him.

However, the words casually uttered by Azathoth were heard by every single person in the stadium.

”What? Only a year?!” Anderson, who was sitting in his seat, jumped up in genuine dumbfoundment.

David, Steven, Rigard, Joseph, Angela, and the other members of the Arclight family stared in pure shock.

It was not just them. The Emperors sitting directly above them shared an equally baffled look.

Started a year ago?

How was that even physically possible?

The crowd that heard this fact immediately erupted into heavy agitation.

[Chat: Is this Abyssal God guy trolling? How is that even possible? Did you guys even see what he just did? He crushed an entire army of the Abyss without lifting a single finger!]

[Chat: I have heavy doubts that this is some fake forged broadcast, but this is being streamed live by the official Pan-Cosmic Human Alliance account. I have no choice but to trust this.]

[Chat: This feels like heavy propaganda! How can a human reach such a terrifying level in less than a year?]

[Chat: Are you seriously doubting the Abyssal God’s words?]

[Chat: I mean, is he not like the devil or something? Should we not do exactly that?]

[Chat: Wrong! He is even scarier than the devil. According to the ancient legends, if his real body were to descend into this world, the universe would get destroyed from his mere existence alone. That is how terrifyingly strong he is.]

”...” Grey stared darkly at Azathoth.

His golden eyes flickered as he looked around. The bad omen was still very much present, and the dark premonition was even thicker around Alissa, Miwa, and Juli.

If things stayed like this, they would perish without a doubt.

”Well, that puts me at ease. You are growing faster than anyone else in history. It looks like I will not have to wait long for you to reach the absolute apex,” Azathoth chuckled.

”However, my sole purpose for coming here today was not to meet you, nor Tian Yuan.” He smiled coldly.

With a sharp snap of his fingers, the army of devils and corrupted beings that was just crushed by Grey revived in an instant.

In the following moment, they all shot directly toward the waiting areas where the young tournament participants stood.

Seeing this, Grey simply snorted. The heavy pressure descended, and the monsters immediately crumbled into paste once again.

But just as quickly, the Abyssal God reanimated them.

”This will not do,” Azathoth frowned. ”You are being highly annoying right now.”

As he said that, he casually waved his hand.

Boom!

A terrifying power that was infinitely close to the 6th Rank burst out from Azathoth as he swung his hand to the left.

Grey’s figure shot through the sky like a broken kite, crashing heavily into the stadium floor.

”Grey!” Angela exclaimed loudly upon seeing this.

She desperately wanted to rush toward him, but she quickly realized she could not use her powers at all. She could not even fly!

But her motherly instinct was vastly fiercer than any Null Zone seal. She was just about to physically vault out of the VIP balcony when a sudden, blinding golden light erupted from Grey’s crash site.

Boom!

The entire Origin Planet came to a sudden, grinding halt as transcendental power erupted from Grey. The sky shattered, and the ground began to shake rapidly as a supreme divine light shot straight into the heavens.

Seeing this, both Tian Yuan and the Abyssal God had a drastic change in expression.

So did everyone else in the stadium.

Those who were at the 4th Rank and above were intimately familiar with this overwhelming presence.

”The Heavenly Dao!” the Abyssal God and Tian Yuan spoke in shocked unison.

Deafening thunder cracked through the skies of the Origin Planet as a massive spear of golden lightning fell from the heavens.

Boom!

The instant the divine spear struck the ground, both Tian Yuan and Azathoth were heavily stunned.

[How is it? I used your own powers against you, #####.]

A supreme voice boomed directly from the skies. The instant anyone weaker than the 5th Rank heard that voice, they fell to their knees, trembling uncontrollably.

The Heavenly Dao had forcefully descended upon the mortal plane!

”Older Heaven,” Azathoth frowned deeply. ”How did you regain your powers? How is that possible?”

”It should be strictly impossible!” Tian Yuan was even more shocked than the Abyssal God. ”How can you override the supreme influence of the Heavenly One?!” He could not believe his own eyes. ”Unless... you possess the Heavenly Mandate?!”

[My current host is just so magnificent that he allows me to achieve this supreme state. You both cannot even begin to compare to Grey in that aspect. No one can outshine him!]

”The Heavenly Dao?” The Grand Arbiter, looking up at the sky, was literally shaking in his boots.

No one could ever fake this suffocating aura. This was, without a doubt, the true power of the Heavenly Dao!

No, it was the Heavenly Dao itself!

No one except Azathoth and Tian Yuan could understand the Fragment’s spoken words anymore. As it existed right now, it was at a state of absolute transcendence. Mortal words were nonexistent for transcendent beings. They conveyed their complex thoughts through raw intent and a supreme language commonly known as Transcendental Expression.

There was not a single soul present who could comprehend it, except those two monsters.

Amidst the raging power of heaven, the young participants of the tournament were frozen in disbelief. Yet, among them, Alissa stared brightly at the sky and then down at Grey’s crater.

”Has there ever been an instance where you have actually lost, Grey?” Alissa chuckled softly, a warm smile unknowingly forming on her face.

Seeing him rise up again gave birth to an unexpected, fierce hope within her mind, instantly setting her restless heart at ease.

The starry sky was simply not ready for Grey’s true might.

[Grey, I will send you some pure Origin Power. See if you can use it to break through right now,] the Fragment spoke directly into Grey’s mind amidst the unfolding chaos.

However, it quickly realized that Grey had already fallen into a deep meditative trance. His physical body was blinking rapidly, looking exactly as if he were glitching in and out of existence.

The dense Nexus energy within his core, which had remained mostly dormant until now, was suddenly acting completely out of order. The Nexus energy, the supreme Chaos Lotus, and the Boundless Power of Ascendancy from his Endless Potential Physique all combined together. They were forcing him to reach a conceptual state completely unknown to ordinary life or even the Heavenly Dao itself.

Grey’s consciousness had begun to rapidly climb toward a higher dimension.

The Nexus was calling out to him.
