Sweet Nostalgia of the 80s

Chapter 237: Chapter 234 Qin Jian, I Like You......

An Hao was unexpectedly pushed over by An Ping, and unable to steady her heels, she plunged into Qin Jian’s embrace.

His chest was firm and strong, radiating a scorching warmth, as if she had hit a wall.

Seeing An Hao stumble towards him, Qin Jian quickly wrapped his arms around her gently to prevent them both from falling as he stepped back.

He looked down at An Hao and asked in a deep, mellow voice, ”Are you alright?”

”I’m fine.” An Hao’s expression was slightly embarrassed; she gently pushed Qin Jian away and turned her head to glare at An Ping.

”Whoa...” An Ping exaggeratedly covered his eyes with his hand and laughed loudly, ”Sorry sis, I didn’t mean to. I’m going to hang out with Brother Tian for a while, you two just talk.”

An Ping hopped away, leaving An Hao and Qin Jian alone, facing each other.

A warm breeze gently caressed the quiet playground, where the air seemed ablaze with an unspoken heat.

”You came to see me,” Qin Jian said in a solemn voice, his black eyes shimmering with unusual emotion. The collision just now had quickened his heartbeat.

Her body was soft like the willow branches of spring, vibrant and spirited, and her light, pleasant fragrance was making him restless.

As a thirty-year-old man in the prime of life, how could he not be moved by the woman he liked? How could he not feel anything?

Especially when her soft little hands pushed him away, it was like a feather brushing across his heart, stirring him to distract.••

”Yes.” An Hao handed over the clothes she was holding to Qin Jian, ”I came to deliver these clothes and to see how your arm is healing.”

”Just a small injury, it’s nothing now,” Qin Jian said as he unfolded the clothes she brought, seeing the delicate and meticulous stitches, he smiled slightly, ”Your needlework is quite good.”

”There’s a lot more I can do,” An Hao said with a grin, ”But they were all forced by life.”

”Show me slowly in the future.”

”Yes.” An Hao smiled and nodded.

The air fell into an eerie silence again, and facing Qin Jian’s intense gaze, An Hao didn’t know what else to say, feeling momentarily at a loss for words.

Qin Jian, struggling to restrain himself, still reached out to her.

An Hao paused for a moment, her face breaking into a smile, and then she gently laid her hand in his, a voice in her heart constantly repeating to her, An Hao, in this life the man you want to marry is right in front of you, his intentions are clear, muster the courage to tell him, to let him know your thoughts plainly and clearly.

Seeing her lost in thought, Qin Jian asked her in a low voice, ”What are you thinking about?”

An Hao mustered the courage and suddenly looked up at him, ”Qin Jian, I... I like you!”

Faced with An Hao’s straightforward confession, Qin Jian was also stunned, and then the corners of his mouth slowly curled into a smile, ”Good.”

An Hao: ”...” What kind of answer is that? Shouldn’t he be the one to confess according to normal protocol?

Before she had finished her thoughts, she heard Qin Jian’s voice again, ”After your college entrance exams, I’ll come to your house to ask for your hand in marriage!”

”Propose!!” An Hao was startled; she was only eighteen, still had to take her college entrance exams, and after that, there was college...

”Don’t worry, I will wait until you are of legal age for us to get married,” Qin Jian said with a smile, ”Are you willing?”

”I am willing! I am willing!” After An Hao finished, she looked into his eyes and said word for word, ”Qin Jian, from now on, you are mine, no matter what happens, you and I must never part and walk through this life together!”
