The Deadly Hitwoman: The Heiress's Special Abilities

Chapter 231: Chapter 231: Breaking the Cocoon, Reborn (Part 17)

The Emperor opened the document, and after reading it, his face immediately darkened. His initially good mood was instantly ruined.

The Crown Prince, who had just heard the commotion, was originally curious about what Su Yaogeng had presented in the document. But seeing the Emperor’s darkened face, he couldn’t help but feel a sense of foreboding; this was mostly likely not good news.

Before he could ponder what the matter might be, the document flew directly towards him, and he instinctively caught it, only to realize something was amiss.

He hurriedly looked up at the Emperor in panic: ”Father?”

The Emperor said angrily: ”Read it for yourself, lawlessness, it’s simply lawlessness! Since when did our Nanyao Country produce such a person who bullies others and disregards royal laws? Galloping through the streets and maliciously injuring people, you should give it a good look!”

The Crown Prince quickly opened up the memorial, and after reading it, was equally shocked.

It’s really creating trouble for him!

His concubine, Consort Zheng, was charmingly beautiful and had just borne him a son, so he had been favoring her recently. Yet, even with her favored status, as the Crown Prince of the current dynasty, he dared not openly cover up such a matter! Especially since, of all people, she had to provoke Su Yaogeng!

Who in the entire Capital City doesn’t know, anyone is fine to provoke, but the minute you provoke Su Yaogeng and Su Yu, even if you’re right, you turn out to be wrong! What’s more, this time it was clearly their fault!

If it were just a beating, it could be resolved with an apology, after all, it was just a servant, and even though Su Yaogeng is overbearing, considering the Crown Prince’s status, the matter wouldn’t escalate. But to cut off someone’s hand in front of so many people, it’s simply inescapable!

Even worse, hiding in his Crown Prince Mansion and not coming out, what is that supposed to mean! Isn’t this blatantly creating trouble for him!

Other petitions might not reach the Emperor, but who was Su Yaogeng?

At this moment, the Crown Prince felt so angry that he could grit his teeth!

He hurriedly took the document, stood up, and knelt before the Emperor: ”Father, I wasn’t aware of this matter, I will immediately return to the mansion to send the person to the government office, to be dealt with according to the law, and will not show favoritism!”

The Emperor also knew that these days, the Crown Prince came to the palace early to help handle state affairs and only returned at night, so it was understandable that he wasn’t aware of outside happenings. He was not as angry now, waved his hand and said, ”Stand up, I know you have been busy these days, and some neglect is inevitable. Go back to your mansion immediately, such lawless individuals are not to be spared lightly!”

”Yes, I take my leave.” The Crown Prince quickly took his leave and left.

As soon as he returned to the mansion, he went straight to Consort Zheng’s courtyard. Just entering the courtyard, he heard sounds of amusement from inside the house, as if someone had said something funny, eliciting a burst of laughter from the beauty.

His face darkened involuntarily; they had caused such trouble for him, yet they were in the mood to amuse themselves there!

The Crown Prince entered the room with a stern face, and directly commanded: ”Go, send the person to the government office and say I ordered it, dealt with in accordance with the law.”

The guards immediately stepped forward, holding Zheng Baocheng, Consort Zheng’s brother, from either side, intending to drag him out.

Consort Zheng was instantly frightened, and Zheng Baosheng was also terrified, crying out: ”Brother-in-law, brother-in-law spare me! Sister, quickly plead with brother-in-law for me! I really didn’t do anything, just dealt with a servant, please don’t send me to the government office!”

The Crown Prince’s forehead bulged with veins, impatiently saying: ”What are you standing there for! Take him away immediately!”

Causing him such trouble, and yet still having the audacity to shout!
