The Deadly Hitwoman: The Heiress's Special Abilities

Chapter 211: Chapter 211: Su Yaogeng’s Secret (Part 3)

Han Siqu was in a moment of mental tension when he heard She speak and was shocked to turn around and look at her.

”When we speak, they can’t hear us,” She explained.

As for why they couldn’t hear, She certainly couldn’t tell him, and at this moment, Han Siqu wasn’t concerned about that question either.

Han Siqu was relieved after hearing She say that they couldn’t hear them speak.

She saw the pain and pity in his eyes.

”If I really rushed in, she would certainly be very embarrassed. I finally understand why all this happened. With such a secret, for her to be able to tell my elder brother, she must really love him. Unfortunately, my elder brother didn’t cherish her feelings properly.” Only at this moment did Han Siqu realize just how much pain Su Yaogeng had endured.

Her congenital shortcomings were not her fault, yet they were her misfortune.

As the most noble Princess of Nanyao Country, such defects were deadly for her, beyond their imagination.

Especially when she had someone she loved deeply, desperately trying to break free from the curse of fate, and even started to believe in life, reality still dealt her the most brutal blow.

Han Siqu had never known how much unimaginable pain was hidden in the heart of that seemingly aloof, domineering woman.

So she wasn’t giving him no chance at all, it’s just that she couldn’t.

Han Siqu smiled bitterly, realizing it was fate playing tricks on people...

”What if it were you? What choice would you make?” She didn’t know what kind of pain Su Yaogeng went through to let go of that relationship, but she knew it must have been worse than death.

So she suddenly wanted to know, as a man who also liked Su Yaogeng, what choice Han Siqu would make.

Han Siqu shook his head: ”I don’t know.”

She snorted coldly: ”Indeed...”

Before she could finish speaking, Han Siqu said: ”But if back then, I was the one she loved, then at least, I would have married her first.”

She looked at him in confusion.

”I really shouldn’t have told you so much,” Han Siqu also felt that he had said a bit too much today to She, who he wasn’t close to, but having bottled it up for so many years, he hoped someone could listen.

”I grew up with your mother, and the number of men who liked her in the capital was countless. I was just one of them, but the one who moved her was my elder brother. So I thought then, she was bound to become my sister-in-law sooner or later, and therefore I could not like her. I never imagined that I would be the one to marry her later, yet it was me she did not love. I thought I would never fall in love with her as the sacrifice for their relationship, but love is something beyond control.”

”If I were my elder brother, even if I didn’t know if I could hold on to myself, facing the one I loved most who was enduring such pain, at least I would have married her first, then let time decide if we could really make it. I would at least not break my promise to her while I still loved her.”

”And if I had known about this secret when we got married, then at least, I would strive harder to move her, instead of giving up and wasting so many years in absurdity.”

”You are still young, maybe you can’t understand, but for a person, having tried their best and then losing, that’s fate. But if you haven’t even tried and just give up, that’s not worth it.”
