The Deadly Hitwoman: The Heiress's Special Abilities

Chapter 207: Chapter 207: I Don’t Love You Anymore

Now, when she had long forgotten the promise she once yearned for, he finally gave her the promise she had once dreamed of.

But, it was too late.

Too late.

She no longer needed it.

Han Siqu is a scoundrel, but he was right about one thing, how could she expect him to fulfill now what he hadn’t fulfilled twenty years ago? And even if he did fulfill it now, what meaning would it have for her?

Love is something that cannot tolerate even a grain of sand.

The wounds that were once slashed deep and have now become festering and rotten may one day heal, but no matter how much time passes, the pain remains clear.

She could allow him to stab her heart once, but it was impossible to give him a second chance.

She was afraid too.

So back then, she never considered forgiving.

Since they parted ways, it was a farewell for this lifetime.

Whether it was love or not, in her heart, Han Si Que was already a grave.

”I don’t love you anymore.” Su Yaogeng’s voice was soft, yet it was very clear to hear. She looked up at Han Si Que and said, word by word, ”Han Si Que, I don’t love you anymore.”

That one sentence shattered all of Han Si Que’s hopes completely, and this iron-blooded, forceful man found himself unsteady on his feet at that moment.

”So you heard clearly, whether you explain or not, whether you can do it or not, it holds no significance for me, because I don’t love you anymore, I haven’t for a long time.” Yes, she doesn’t love him anymore.

So no matter how much his words moved her heart, how they reminded her of the past, or what kind of hope they generated in that moment, it was all meaningless.

”Why?” Han Si Que murmured, ”If you don’t love me, who else will you love?”

”Zheng’er, only I, only I will truly love you. Zheng’er, you’re... you’re doing this on purpose, you still love me, don’t you?” Over the years he had suffered equally, only back then, he didn’t understand her significance to him.

He thought he could truly let go, but he couldn’t.

He hadn’t let her go, so how could she, how could she just let him go like that?

Clearly now, nothing stands between them, and he no longer minds her flaws, so why, why did she tell him she doesn’t love him anymore?

He clung with dear hope to the last shred of expectation in his heart, looking at her with a trace of pleading, hoping what she said wasn’t true.

But at this moment, Han Siqu tightened his grip on Su Yaogeng’s wrist, with a force that was almost weak to Su Yaogeng, yet it caused her wrist to ache. Before she could frown and shake him off, he, overexcited, looked at her and said, ”Is it true what you said? Su Yaogeng, swear, is it true what you said? You don’t love him anymore, right? No matter what happens, you definitely won’t go with him, you won’t be with him, right?”

Su Yaogeng’s mood, which was originally at its worst, was somehow lightened by Han Siqu’s few questions to the point of tears and laughter. Was this man crazy today?

But she still nodded, saying to him as well as to Han Si Que, ”Yes, I don’t love him anymore. In this lifetime, till death, I will never go with him, nor will I ever be with him.”

The story between her and Han Si Que ended twenty years ago.

In this lifetime, and for all lifetimes to come, she would never again have any entanglement with Han Si Que.
