The Deadly Hitwoman: The Heiress's Special Abilities

Chapter 212: Chapter 212: Su Yaogeng’s Secret (Part 4)

If he had been in Han Si Que’s position at the beginning, he might have also been hesitant and unsure. After all, as a man, watching the woman he loves yet unable to be closer or possess her fully is a kind of inhuman torture. So even if it were him, he would certainly hesitate.

But he would definitely have married her first.

If he couldn’t protect her, it meant he didn’t love her enough, and it wasn’t entirely her fault.

And not even trying but letting go first, that is selfishness, a true lack of love.

Those who love deeply will disregard everything, like a moth to a flame, whether it hurts or not, they would still go for it first.

So now Han Siqu is truly relieved, as there’s really no possibility between Han Si Que and Su Yaogeng.

Su Yaogeng should have understood back then how selfish Han Si Que is. All that talk of family duty, if he had no choice at all, he would admire him. But when having choices, still opting to give up the woman he loves to satisfy his own desires, he can’t help but feel it’s unworthy for Su Yaogeng.

It’s also understandable why Su Yaogeng made such a decision back then, firmly refusing to give each other any room for hesitation and indecision.

He used to resentfully blame Su Yaogeng for ruining his life, making him a laughing stock in the Capital City, and leading him to live in a daze these years.

Now, he suddenly understands her helplessness, her plight, and the heart full of scars hidden beneath her strong exterior.

He now only regrets, regrets not knowing this earlier, not understanding her suffering sooner, not realizing sooner that he had already fallen in love with her. If he had known earlier, he wouldn’t have been so absurd; at the very least, he would have tried harder to tell her that he was genuine too.

Unfortunately, fate played its cruel tricks, bringing things to the current state.

Is he any better than Han Si Que now?

He doesn’t even have the right to tell her he likes her. Yes, someone as absurd as he has no right to expect her to like him.

Han Siqu had no interest in listening to what Han Si Que and Su Yaogeng were saying anymore; he walked out somewhat lost.

Han Jing hurried to follow, leaving her superpower defense, knowing that Su Yaogeng would surely notice the commotion.

Once the two left Su Yaogeng’s yard, Han Siqu waved at Han Jing, ”Jing’er, thank you for today.”

Seeing his forlorn appearance, she asked, ”If you leave like this, are you going to leave your whole family to be taken care of by my mother?”

She didn’t oppose Han Siqu’s decision, but wasn’t he being too selfish? He figured things out for himself, decided to start over and just left. Has he forgotten he still has an entire family to take care of?

But Han Siqu replied rather shamelessly, ”Why don’t you ask your mother how my concubines and mistresses came to be? I didn’t force any of them to climb into my bed. Besides, my private wealth is enough for them to use for a lifetime. If they can’t live on, it’s their own lack of ability, what’s it to me?”

He previously didn’t know what he was doing every day. If it wasn’t for them coming to leave their mark in front of him, he probably wouldn’t know who they were. Moreover, those who asked for his help, he did assist, and those he couldn’t help, there was nothing he could do about it. What else is needed of him?

Furthermore, can he even manage it?
