The Deadly Hitwoman: The Heiress's Special Abilities

Chapter 220: Chapter 220: Breaking the Cocoon, Reborn (Part 6)

”To have met once by fate, she’s a pitiable person.” Su Yaogeng sighed but said nothing more.

After my brother ascended the throne, she left the Capital City for a while and went to the Spirit Cultivation Realm, where she had the fortune to make some friends. She and Yun Qingyao were about the same age and connected instantly, but Yun Qingyao was in a hurry to save her fiancé, so they didn’t have the chance to become close.

It was only later that she learned that the Yun Qingyao she knew was the renowned alchemy prodigy, Misty Fairy.

It’s a pity that fate plays tricks. The greatest regret of Yun Qingyao’s life is probably that despite having miraculous healing powers, she couldn’t heal the person she loved most.

It’s truly lamentable.

Han Jing didn’t question about Yun Qingyao because, after all, it was someone else’s private matter. She only needed Su Yaogeng to trust her.

”Uncle Yun’s medical skills are excellent, and he has a lot of good medicine pills. Once An’an successfully performs your surgery, let him use the medicines to nurse you back to health, and then you can give me a little brother or sister!” Han Jing said with a smile.

Su Yaogeng blushed slightly and tapped her forehead, ”Nonsense!”

An Chuxue echoed from the side, ”Aunt Zheng, Jing’er is right. You’re still young; everything is still ahead of you!”

Su Yaogeng had to admit she was somewhat tempted. She didn’t necessarily want a child of her own; Jing’er was her child, and whether biologically related or not made no difference. She only wished to rid herself of her body’s curse. If it were truly possible, she genuinely hoped to free herself from this curse, to live honorably and no longer feel like she had a plague growing within her, terrifying even to think about.

”You two have such sweet tongues.” Su Yaogeng smiled and said to Aunt Xi, ”A Xi, go tell them to set up breakfast.”

”You two stay for breakfast this morning.” Su Yaogeng stood up and said with a gentle smile.

The two had breakfast with Su Yaogeng and were planning to leave when they saw Housekeeper Wang hurrying over, whispering something to Aunt Xi, who frowned and led him into the living room.

”What’s the matter?” Su Yaogeng asked.

”Princess, the Marquis has written a letter and left. The madams didn’t dare make a fuss, so they came to find me. This is the letter the Marquis left.” Housekeeper Wang handed the letter to Aunt Xi, who passed it to Su Yaogeng.

Han Jing blinked... did he really leave?

She had no feelings for Han Siqu. What he said to her last night, she took as him having a sudden epiphany and making a decision, so she saw no need to stop him.

Unexpectedly, he really did... run away from home?

Su Yaogeng opened the letter, which contained only a few short words,

”I’m gone. The private estate has been divided appropriately, and a steward will handle it. I hope everyone fends for themselves.”

...

Not a single extra word, and no mention of where he went.

”Ridiculous!” Su Yaogeng slapped the letter on the table but, mindful of Han Jing and An Chuxue’s presence, refrained from losing her temper.

But how childish is this Han Siqu, running away from home at his age?

Su Yaogeng couldn’t help but rub her forehead and said to Han Jing and An Chuxue, ”You should go back now!”

Then she asked Housekeeper Wang, ”Have you sent someone to look for him?”

Housekeeper Wang nodded, ”Someone has been sent, but... there’s still no news. No one saw when the Marquis left.”
