The Dark Rebirth of Pandora: Revenge of the Abyss

Chapter 194: Vanessa is weaker than I thought

”...” I stretch a bit, stretching my body as Vanessa glares at me angrily. I was meditating because I was adjusting some things in the pocket universe.

After all, I’m going to kill Vanessa, but I can’t let her soul leave, I’m going to lock her soul in the pocket universe and keep her there.

”Hey, heroine, how about you start?” I suggest to Vanessa, which only irritates her, as if I were underestimating her, but I’m not. I just want to analyze how she’s going to fight.

”Okay, then regret this choice in hell!” She swings the staff she has, and suddenly something appears.

An annoying ticking sound along with a slightly loud sound of mechanical movements.

’Atomic bomb’ She also forms a barrier for herself. I notice that her staff is of high quality, as is her outfit.

”...”

’Does she think I’m an idiot?’ It’s clear that she thinks I’m going to simply underestimate the bomb and let it explode, and I really could do that. This bomb can’t even hurt me if I defend myself.

It’s very slow, I have enough time to defend against her explosion with mana, but the problem is that the desert is in the area near the kingdom of the clone Delphina and I don’t want to cause her any trouble.

I lightly tap my foot on the ground and then the atomic bomb is consumed by a sand worm made of shadows. This is a shadow that I judged to be useful.

The sand worm shadows are quite large and have the ability to detect vibrations in the environment, and their range is gigantic.

I filled the entire area with thousands of shadows to prevent her from escaping if she tried to run.

”...”

”Heroine, why the shocked face? Were you expecting something different? Do you really think something so slow is useful against me?”

”Tsk” She takes a little distance and tries to use an atomic bomb and barrier again. The bomb quickly activates, but its activation still seems so slow.

”Pfff” I feel like laughing. I really expected something dangerous, not that she would try to defeat me with modern weapons. I lock the activating bomb in a shadow cocoon and then compress the space.

The bomb explodes, but it doesn’t cause any damage, and the radiation is absorbed by the shadows.

I advance towards Vanessa, who is inside a barrier. I start to hit the barrier with my fists as it cracks.

She creates various types of golems to try to stop me, but I break them all with spear-like shadows.

”Demon King, I want to see what you can do without magic,” Vanessa says as she creates a small object. Soon I feel my magic being blocked.

”Your smile is very arrogant, heroine.” I accelerate the punches as the barrier breaks even faster. She seems shocked, but I haven’t used magic at all so far.

Crack!

”Ow” The barrier breaks, and soon I hit her with my tail, throwing her hard against the sand, changing the texture of the environment and starting to hit her with my tail, pushing her down. The ground acts like a trampoline, pushing her up.

”You know, heroine, you’re doing this wrong.” She can’t react to being hit down without stopping. I’m practically treating her like a ball, and she only moans in pain, but doesn’t let go of the staff.

”Why do you think human weapons would work against me?” She has to imagine things on a larger scale, but with her limited human mind, she can only limit herself to the strong things she knows.

I give a final powerful downward blow while restoring the sand texture.

”Heroine, I want something better, you know? What’s the point of humiliating you when all you do are these weak little things? Don’t make me get bored.”

I overestimated her too much. I thought she would be stronger because of her ability, but as a mage, she is not suitable for fighting alone.

”Y-You bitch!!” She heals herself and then creates a golem similar to me. I don’t know how far this golem can go, but it doesn’t have a good foundation. After learning the laws that form the universe, this became simple to understand.

[Speed Blitz Temporal]

I use this magic, appearing in an instant between the golem and Vanessa. I pierce the golem’s head with my tail and punch Vanessa, throwing her away.

”You know, heroine, you were very foolish to want to fight alone. Your ability falls into the class of a mage. Do you think a mage can defeat me alone?”

I crush the item that prevents me from using magic.

I could have overcome the strength of the item by emitting large concentrations of mana, but that wouldn’t have been fun.

”[Meteor Strike]” Vanessa moves the staff, which shines brightly, and soon a huge meteor is created in the sky.

”Yes, heroine, that’s much better.”

”[Chaotic Divider]” I use my magic, and soon the meteor is shattered into thousands of small fragments, a shower of these fragments occurring on the sand.

[Chaotic Divider] Chaos magic that collapses the binding structure of matter, separating it by force.

”!!!”

”Don’t think this is over, you bitch!” Vanessa yells at me as she throws some kind of metallic item in my direction. The item opens while floating in the air, and soon an extremely powerful suction occurs, pulling me in.

’This is strong enough to pull me... and it seems to be closed... what’s inside?’ It seems she has some good tricks. The sandy ground doesn’t help me either.

”You’ll pay dearly for underestimating me, Demon King.” She draws a strange weapon that I don’t recognize, so it must be her creation.

Soon the weapon fires a blue energy jet that pierces my body, opening a huge hole in my torso.

’That really hurts a little... it’s some kind of laser weapon.’ I’ve never had much resistance. For my race, the focus is on greater flexibility and speed rather than defense.

That’s why most of my enemies hurt me, since my body isn’t that defensive, and I make up for it with regeneration. That’s why mana armor is important.

I form a mana armor while Vanessa moves the weapon upward, trying to aim at my head. It seems difficult to move the weapon, so she didn’t aim directly at my head.

However, her weapon is too weak to penetrate the mana armor I’ve created. I begin to regenerate, but the attractive force of that equipment is a problem.

’This will end quickly, there’s no need to drag it out.’ I was trying to be cautious, but I’ve already understood that Vanessa doesn’t know what to do. Her plan was to kill me with strong things she knows.

However, the scale of destruction of natural events and common human weapons is very low.

”Open!” Vanessa yells at her equipment, and soon the equipment that is pulling me opens, and a black circular mass appears in the center.

’A real black hole!’ I admit this is a problem. Somehow the equipment built by her can contain the black hole’s power and redirect the force only to me.

I can keep myself in place by exerting force, but that doesn’t change the fact that being absorbed results in death, so I must deal with it soon.

”Vanessa, so you want to kill me with a black hole?” Vanessa seems surprised when I call her by name.

”This is the strongest thing you can imagine? I understand, and you’re right, a black hole is incredible, a perfect singularity point.”

’Ironically, I have a magic that can defeat a black hole...’ I have the perfect magic for this, it’s the [Apocalypse Fall] magic.

[Apocalypse Fall] Chaos magic that generates a vacuum in spacetime, creating a chaotic force that absorbs everything in the environment and then explodes, converting the atmosphere into various chemicals, forming a blood-red, highly corrosive rain.

By the description, it doesn’t seem like she could win. It’s just that the beginning of this magic generates a white hole, an opposite force to a black hole, generating a point opposite to the perfect singularity of the black hole.

When the magic activates, a mass of gravity that grows indefinitely for a few seconds appears. This infinite gravity mass becomes white, generating the opposite of a black hole.

A white hole with a massive energy release. Around the white hole, a vacuum occurs, pulling everything in, while the white hole repels everything. Two opposing forces that are extremely close together.

The proximity of the two forces generates a chaotic event. The white hole that tries to repel against the spatial vacuum that absorbs things makes the space around it shatter.

And this same force can nullify a black hole.

”Increase!” Vanessa says to the device, which opens the black hole’s force more. The black hole’s force increases and really starts to pull me off the ground. If it continues like this, it will completely absorb me.

”Maximized chaos magic [Apocalypse Fall]” I use the magic, and soon the event occurs right at the same point where the black hole is located.

An abnormal energy release occurs as the black hole and white hole affect each other’s singularity.

The Black Hole has a singularity where everything collapses, nothing escapes. The White Hole has a singularity that ejects everything, preventing anything from entering.

When the two singularities occur in the same position, they collapse, and soon the two end up canceling each other out, so her equipment breaks, but the corrosive rain doesn’t happen.

”H-How” Vanessa seems shocked. Black holes are one of the most powerful events that humanity knows, and I just competed in power with one and tied with it.

’Tsk, I’m still too weak.’ I wanted to win, not just tie. Of course, not many can tie with a black hole in power, but still, I thought I could win.

”How did you do that!! It was a real black hole!!”

”I know.” It wasn’t a magic that simulated a black hole, it was a real black hole that arose from the collapse of a star. I don’t know how Vanessa obtained it and how she managed to contain and redirect its force to only affect me, but it was a real black hole nonetheless.

”You were very daring, knowing that if this got out of control, the world would end?”

I say in a disdainful tone.

”You should be grateful I may have just saved the world.”

”Y-You freak!” She yells at me, somewhat frightened. The black hole must have been her trump card. It makes sense that she had all that confidence in the victory. If I didn’t know chaos magic, I would probably have to flee with teleportation or something.

”Ow... W-What?” She moans in pain slightly.

”Oh... did you just try to teleport away from me?” I say angrily. This bitch just tried to teleport away.

”Y-You!!”

”I blocked teleportation, I won’t let you get out of here, heroine Vanessa. Life is not a game, you won’t get a second chance.”

She thinks this is a video game? That she can just fail and try again? As if I’m going to let her escape. I’m going to make her suffer a lot more.
