The Dark Rebirth of Pandora: Revenge of the Abyss

Chapter 163: Chaos Magic

”H-How...” A look of pure despair appears on Aokitsu’s face.

”HOW DID YOU USE A MASS DESTRUCTION MAGIC?” She screams at me, crying with anger, all her troops turned to salt.

Aokitsu’s blood attack was not a mass destruction magic, so it was possible to use it, but mine clearly was a mass destruction magic.

”Aokitsu, are you really that brainless?” I say as I get up from the table that now shows a scene where only my troops are alive, the ground is white because of the salt and reminds me of snowy fields.

”I had said before, I still have two reliable people to lead even if I don’t do anything...in other words, do you really think they would just stand still and wait for nothing?”

”Obviously they went after your crystal while I was commanding the troops, in fact your crystal was broken a long time ago” I tell her, making it clear that she never had a chance.

”But hey, cheer up, in this war I lost the lives of 4,000 soldiers and had more than 5,000 who were badly injured to completely eliminate your army.”

’If I hadn’t played around, there could have been fewer casualties...but I think it was a good result’ it wasn’t all bad, I just need to be better next time to avoid generating unnecessary casualties like in this war.

”I’LL KILL YOU, YOU FREAK” Aokitsu’s body is covered in blue flames as her tails thrash wildly, she charges directly at me as I dodge by jumping back.

She continues to advance to every place I dodge, and the surrounding environment freezes visibly.

”[Ballista Buster]” she casts an enchantment, activating a column of blue flames that comes at me at high speed.

I use [Dematerialization] and with that I don’t even need to dodge the attack, it simply passes through my body and continues forward.

”..!!! [Vaporization]” Soon a curtain of steam covers the entire area, obscuring my vision while the heat makes my skin seem to be cooking.

’I have great adaptation to fire...but the steam is damaging me, good to know’ it seems that adapting to something doesn’t guarantee adaptation to something related to that thing, in other words fire doesn’t hurt me as much since I’ve adapted, but the hot steam is giving me a lot of damage.

I hear her footsteps circling around me at high speed, trying to confuse me with the sounds, the blue glow of the flames mixed with the steam doesn’t make her exact position clear.

I partially take on characteristics of my incomplete form, gaining more arms made of that black sludge.

With the two extra arms, I begin to cast magic through signals.

So with two arms I fight hand-to-hand and with the extra arms I use magic through signals.

”Aokitsu, are you just going to keep circling? Then I’ll attack first if you don’t mind” I stomp hard on the ground to get a good footing as the ground cracks under the pressure.

I use the two extra arms, joining them and interlocking the fingers, while with my two normal arms I do something similar, but only touching the thumbs, forefingers and little fingers.

Along with this, I begin to chant an enchantment and form magical circles.

”Maximized Chaos Magic [Apocalypse Fall]” The maximized magics refer to a conjuration method before the enchantment to maximize the power of a spell, this maximization gives a certain increase in power to the magic without costing much mana, which is useful.

[Apocalypse Fall] Chaos magic that generates a vacuum in space-time, creating a chaotic force that absorbs everything in the environment and then explodes, converting the atmosphere into various chemicals forming a blood-red rain with high corrosive power.

When the magic activates, a mass of gravity that grows endlessly for a few seconds appears, this infinite mass of gravity becomes white, generating the opposite of a black hole.

A white hole with a massive energy release, around the white hole a vacuum occurs, pulling everything while the white hole repels everything, two opposing forces that are extremely close.

The proximity of the two forces generates a chaotic event, the white hole that tries to repel against the spatial vacuum that absorbs things causes the space around it to shatter, while all the steam is absorbed and evaporated by the generated pressure.

Soon I see Aokitsu standing, generating force with mana to avoid being absorbed.

”Hey Aokitsu, you seem to be having trouble” I’m obliged to stay still when using this magic, but this small limitation is irrelevant given the strength of this magic.

Honestly, I don’t really understand chaos magics, they are strange and confusing, or rather, their effects are chaotic and illogical, like the previous magic that replaced everything with salt.

I have no idea why everything is replaced by salt, and there’s this one now, the generation of a white hole and a spatial vacuum so close together makes no sense, the white hole should overcome the spatial vacuum.

But the spatial vacuum is clearly superior at the moment, and I don’t understand how this event ends up generating chemicals that make an acid rain.

In other words, chaos magic is an anti-logical magic, it conceptually escapes logic, generating abnormal and unreal phenomena, and this makes it completely unpredictable, which also makes its use almost impossible for most.

I myself do not fully understand this element, and if it weren’t for my elemental affinity with chaos, I probably couldn’t use this element.

Of course, the suction of the spatial vacuum is not similar to a black hole, it is much weaker, but the focus is not to be sucked in by the spatial vacuum.

The focus of this magic is the acid rain that is about to be generated.

The vacuum attraction disappears and the white hole explodes in a limited way, spreading an environmental glare that did not cause any damage, soon a dark red liquid like blood begins to rain from the sky.

The liquid, as soon as it touches something, begins to corrode, showing very high corrosive power.

’It’s hitting me too...and the smell is sickening’ this is another problem with chaos magic, most of them are very destructive, affecting the user or their allies.

”ELENA AND THALOR, REMOVE THE SOLDIERS FROM THE AREA” I yell at them, using mana to spread my voice quickly.

The rain began from the center of the place where the white hole was formed and is gradually spreading.

’I think it will reach the army in 3 minutes...’ The range of this must cover about 1 to 4 kilometers.

As I purposely distanced Aokitsu, my army has time to leave and not be hit.

I look at Aokitsu, who tries to stifle her painful moans.

’She won’t die...right?’ I don’t want to kill her, she’s useful, she tries to use magic to form barriers and protect herself from the acid.

’...Wait, my arms don’t dissolve?’ My skin is unraveling and melting while regenerating quickly, but my extra arms seem to be immune to the acid.

’So my true form has acid resistance? Or is it actually resistance to chaos effects?’ I think it’s the second option, because this acid derives from something chaotic, so it’s not just acid.

I assume an incomplete form, converting my entire body into this black liquid, automatically feeling a considerable increase in power, while the acid rain no longer causes any damage.

Aokitsu managed to defend herself with a mana armor, so the acid is no longer a problem for her.

”Come on, Aokitsu, we won’t let a mere scratch like this ruin our fight, right?” I say, making motions with my arms, calling her to a frontal fight.

”[Glacial Burn]” when she uses this magic, the entire environment freezes, trapping me to the ground while I feel the ambient temperature rise, heating up noticeably.

”Maximized Moon Magic [Lunar Gravitational Cut]” She uses maximized magic, forming a magic circle with one hand and making signs with the other while chanting the enchantment.

Soon my body is divided in two, in the end she is still the strongest beastman of the present, so obviously she would be strong.

However, this cannot kill me now that my body is in the form of black sludge, after all I no longer have organs, blood or any need to have my body connected to anything.

’I strangely seem like a slime...if I were more viscous, I could be called a black slime’ I’m not a slime, but it still reminds me a lot.

Leaving my thoughts aside, my body reconnects as if nothing had happened, although it seems I didn’t take any damage, in reality I did, it’s just not very noticeable.

However, when I take damage, my mana is spent, as long as I have mana, I will continue to live as long as 100% of my body is not evaporated in a single attack.

I break the ice that holds me and advance against Aokitsu to enter hand-to-hand combat, she also advances and we begin to exchange punches.

But my extra arms give me the advantage, while my hidden extra eyes practically allow me to predict the location of each blow, leaving no blind spots.

With my tail, I begin to form a magic circle on the ground, soon I jump back and when she tries to follow me, the ground explodes.

I advance against her, creating a sword with the liquid of my body, as soon as she sees it, she strikes the sword directly, only to be surprised when the sword disappears and I hit her in the face with nunchakus.

Soon I switch to a dagger, piercing her abdomen while receiving a punch in the face that I return by biting her hand with an extra mouth on my cheek.

I switch to another weapon again, using a curved blade when I strike, she tries to defend herself but I switch weapons again, making the weapon turn into a chain that I trap around her neck.

Soon the chain becomes serrated as I pull it, cutting her throat as the blood flies.

’As I thought...’ She has very high regeneration, all the damage she receives is covered in blue flames and soon heals.

That’s why the acid rain didn’t affect her as much as it should have, the devastated scenery around the match fits perfectly while everything seems to be raining blood.

Her neck is covered in blue flames as she advances towards me, I take a stance and quickly advance, surprising her.

I start punching her using my extra arms to have the advantage, they are extremely fast and she can’t defend herself.

’1...3...6...8...10...23...60....98...156...230...508’ I manage to hit her 508 times in the face before she could push me away with a blow, I used mana so she couldn’t keep up with the absurd speed and in less than 2 seconds she received many blows.

Blood flows from her face, which soon begins to heal, she spits the blood along with some broken teeth while looking at me angrily, the ground seems to freeze like a response as the flames tremble furiously.
