The Dark Rebirth of Pandora: Revenge of the Abyss

Chapter 158: Gift, Submission and Love

After this intimate moment, Pandora guided me to the carriage where we continued our stroll. Pandora showed me various things as we wandered around the city.

We went to several tourist spots and I even saw stores selling Pandora plushies. Pandora seems to be greatly loved by the people, even though Pandora herself says she hasn’t done that much yet.

However, this doesn’t seem entirely accurate, as she mentioned some of the things she has done, and in fact, she has made many improvements to the city’s construction plans.

It appears that for Pandora, direct work is much more relevant than indirect work, since she thinks what she’s done is not a big deal.

Putting politics aside, she decided to take me to the final highlight of our encounter.

The carriage leaves the city, heading to a distant place while Pandora writes a letter to someone and sends it via teleportation.

The journey was silent, and after a few hours, it’s already night. The carriage stops in a gigantic plain full of flowers that glow in the moonlight.

We both get out and walk around a bit. Pandora stops in a part of the plain and looks at me excitedly.

”Guess why I brought you to this place,” she says like an excited child eager to show something thrilling.

”...” I look around, but aside from the beauty of the scenery, I have no idea why she could have brought me to this place.

’Perhaps... something related to me?’ Everything Pandora has done during the encounter had some symbolism for me.

So this place must also have a special meaning for me.

’Maybe... my mother?’ I’ve always wanted to know more about her, and during the encounter, it became obvious that Pandora had investigated a lot about me.

”Perhaps it’s about my mother?” I say, deducing the answer I believe to be correct.

”Bingo, your mother wanted to bring you to this place. Notice how this location is strange? The demonic territory is a terrible environment for life, with monsters everywhere.”

”Practically everything edible has some kind of poison, and the water is contaminated with miasma... but this place is not like that.”

”This place is beautiful and has not been affected by miasma, nor does it have monsters. It’s like a jewel amidst the mud.”

Pandora comes up to me and pulls a locked book out of the shadows.

”I hope you’ll be happy with this, my sweet queen.” I take the book and look at the cover, recognizing it as the same one described in the accounts I’ve heard.

’T-This is...’

”Thank you... hick... t-thank you so much.” Of my own volition, I hug her amidst this scenery filled with glowing flowers under the moonlight, and tears of happiness stream down my face.

My tears drip onto her dress as I tightly clutch the book. I never thought I would have this book with me someday.

It’s my mother’s diary. I’ve only heard descriptions of it from my father. In this diary, there is everything about my mother, as she loved to write.

My father said that my mother wrote in this diary what she liked, what she didn’t like, her dreams for the future, as well as many things she dreamed for my future.

My embrace is tight as I cannot hold back the tears for this wonderful gift.

My mother has always been very important to me, even though I have never known her. I’ve heard a lot about her and how incredible she was.

My father even said she could take the form of a dragon completely. Unfortunately, she died during my birth. She gave her life so that I could be born. She could have chosen her own life, but still decided to have me, risking her own life.

”It’s okay to cry, my sweet queen.” Pandora hugs me back, and her tail wraps around my body as if embracing me as well.

”I said I would do anything for you... it was quite difficult to find this diary, but if you’re happy, then I am too,” she says, looking directly into my eyes with a cute smile.

”M-Must I look horrible now, huh?” I say, trying to hold back the tears. My face is a crying mess, and I’m sure it’s not a pretty sight, but I can’t contain the tears of joy.

My mother has a special place in my heart. She was the greatest example of love and sacrifice I’ve ever heard about. She chose to save my life instead of saving her own.

”You’re cute even when you’re crying, my darling queen.” She says cheerfully as she watches me.

Her gaze is like a dark, sticky abyss full of the purest obsession and madness, but now it seems so comforting and full of love to me.

She really managed to hook me in a single encounter. I know she’s doing this deliberately to have my love, she’s practically manipulating me to love her.

But I can’t help it. Even knowing exactly what she’s seeking from me, I can’t avoid her after she’s given and promised me exactly what I wanted.

She’s researched so much about me that she now knows exactly what to do to have me. And I can’t avoid it, even knowing.

It’s like the moths that fly into the fire, even though that will kill them.

I feel like Pandora is a flame that burns eternally, so brightly that it’s impossible not to want to touch, as if I were a moth drawn to those flames.

Even knowing that I’ll hurt myself by touching her directly, I can’t help it because she attracts me.

”I love you, Zephyra... do you love me too?” The darkness in her gaze deepens, as if draining any ambient light.

It’s a darkness that will devour everything in its path as she asks if I love her.

”Yes... I love you,” I respond, unable to avoid sinking deeper into that sticky darkness.

I know that the moment I fall into this darkness, I won’t be able to come back... but I’ve already fallen into it before I even noticed, and now I’m too trapped in this darkness to really escape.

I’ve thrown myself into this darkness when I made Pandora love me, and now it’s impossible to try and get out.

Her smile widens in a disturbing way, showing her obsession and happiness. I think she’s always wanted to hear this sincerely, and now she seems satisfied.

I still think she can see feelings, so it seems I can’t lie to myself.

At some point, Pandora managed to make me start liking her.

I’ve read books that say kidnapped maidens sometimes start to love their kidnappers. I wonder if I’m like that too.

”Zephyra, I want to fill you with so many children. When everything is ready, the first thing I want to do is have children with you. Will you accept?”

During our stroll, Pandora explained how it works, and she made it clear that she wants to lay an egg in me. From the description, I know it will be very painful and take a long time.

”Yes, I want to,” I agree with her as I kiss her, letting myself sink into the darkness of her obsession.

She returns the kiss with joy. Her kiss is sticky and obsessive, and I try to reciprocate as best I can.

I breathe heavily from the deep kiss, and soon she releases me and steps back.

She kneels on one knee, using the flowers around us to make the moment more beautiful, as she opens a box for me. I look at the box, which contains a beautiful black ring with a red gem.

The ring is so dark that obsidian doesn’t even come close, while the red gem stands out. I don’t know what mineral it is, but it’s not a common one.

”Will you accept this ring as a proof of our eternal union? And may the Goddess of the Abyss bless our union,” she says with a smile.

This would be a more formal marriage proposal, even though we’ve already married, but not in the way my culture dictates, and instead in the way of the demons mixed with the culture of the vampires.

After all, it was a forced marriage mixed with kidnapping, which is normal for demons, and we also had the first night in the midst of blood, like the vampires.

I take the ring and smile at her, putting it on the index finger of my right hand.

”I accept.”

A strange darkness surrounds the environment for a moment and then disappears, while my uterus tattoo glows with a black light for a fraction of a second before returning to normal.

[System Notice.

You have been blessed by the Goddess of the Abyss.

Direct Message.

[Take care of my daughter, she is a troublesome and complex child, but she is still my dear daughter. I hope you make her very happy... and if you see a white-colored shark girl named Delphina, tell her she is a miserable wretch and that I’m going to beat her for touching my daughter. I wish you both much happiness. I want to see many cute grandchildren.]

A direct message from someone, which is quite difficult to occur and consumes a lot of mana.

’She... blessed our union...’ I blush at the mention of grandchildren, and I have no idea who Delphina is, but I’m still happy that Pandora’s mother has blessed us.

”Is there a problem, Zephyra?” Pandora asks with doubt, obviously she can’t see my system.

I jump at her, hugging her and kissing her for a moment.

”Your mother blessed us.” Pandora’s tail gets excited at the mention of her mother and she gives a happy and relieved smile.

”She also said she wants many grandchildren.” Her tail sways back and forth enthusiastically as she blushes.

”...She also said she’s going to beat someone named Delphina.” Pandora freezes completely, avoiding my gaze.

”...Do you have... another girl?” It’s obvious to me, but I don’t mind if she does. Such relationships are common among the nobility, and as a demon king, she would naturally have more than one wife.

”Y-Yes, but I love you both and will do my best to make you happy. You don’t see a problem with that, right?” Pandora asks somewhat nervously.

”No, but please let me be the main one, okay?”

”Hehehe, of course. Delphina wouldn’t mind not being the main wife much anyway. After all, you’re already my queen.”

’As she said... a complex child.’

”Then make me very happy, okay?”

”Yes! I’ll fill you with love, joy, and children.” I think the last part wasn’t necessary, and I’m sure she had a slight slip of the tongue and was going to say she’d fill me with semen, but quickly changed it to children.

But I decide to ignore that.

”I love you,” I say to Pandora, blushing as I genuinely return her love.

”I love you too,” she says, hugging me and kissing me, even though she’s lying on the flowery ground, the scenery is overshadowed by her beauty in the midst of this passionate kiss.
