The Dark Rebirth of Pandora: Revenge of the Abyss

Chapter 153: Mana Armor

I continue reading the book, there are several interesting parts, although it only describes things from my humanoid form, but there are things that even I didn’t know about my body.

After finishing the book, my master took me to a reinforced place, it seems the word ”rest” doesn’t exist in the master’s vocabulary, since I’m training in sequence without any break.

”Master, why this reinforced room? Am I going to do something dangerous?” I don’t doubt it, after all the master knows how to put me in problematic situations.

”It won’t be that dangerous, in this room you will gain knowledge, I will stamp it on your face and engrave it on your body, after all as the Demon King you have to have a lot of knowledge about as many elements as possible.”

”First, I’m going to teach you how to use [Mana Armor] if you had learned that, you wouldn’t get naked so easily.”

I know that if I had learned that, it would be difficult to destroy my clothes, but I ended up procrastinating a bit when it came to learning that.

Although it was so useful, it still seemed so boring to learn from the books.

”Where do I start?” I ask him while recalling the content of the book.

”I’ll teach you an easier way than the one humans use.”

That interested me, the human books’ method seemed so boring and complex that I ended up procrastinating on this part, but if there’s an easier way, then I want it.

Of course, the reason I procrastinated wasn’t just because it was boring to learn, but because I didn’t have much use for it yet, but lately I’ve been needing it.

”Since you can shape your mana path, which humans can’t, the simplest way for you to do this is to release the mana directly from your mana path outward and then fix it on your body or clothes.”

”To do this, you must create small holes or cracks and let the mana leak out, and when the mana comes out of your body, you must use fine mana control to fix it on your body or clothes.”

”After fixing it on your body or clothes, you must harden its composition to turn it into armor.”

”In this principle, hardening it is similar to solidifying the mana, but instead of solidifying the mana, you must only make it rigid without removing its flexibility.”

”After all, if it were solid, it would hinder your movements.”

That makes sense, I decide to try it, with the latest things I’ve learned about my body, shaping my mana path has become easy, so I quickly manage to do it.

Soon the mana starts to leak out, I start trying to fix it on my body, and since I have a lot of talent in mana control, this is not too difficult either.

However, in the part of hardening it, I end up finding a bottleneck, after all I’ve never done this before, so I’m not sure how it works.

’I wonder if it’s like a texture change?’ I know how to change the texture of things, so maybe it’s something similar, I start to imagine the mana as a rigid but malleable texture that doesn’t hinder movement.

After almost 1 minute of concentration, I manage to do it.

”...Is it done?”

”Yes,” my master replies while looking at my body. Visually there is nothing, but if you look at the mana, you’ll see that my body is covered by a layer of rigid mana like armor.

’That was so easy.’ The explanation the humans use was absurdly difficult compared to this easy process.

”Congratulations, disciple, I thought it would take longer,” he responds with a certain pride in his voice.

’His way of calling me has changed...’ It seems I’m no longer a ”rebellious student” though I had already gotten used to that label.

”Now I’ll teach you how to control chaos magic, chaos magic is extremely important for a Demon King, given that this element is one of the most powerful.”

”With chaos magic, you can overcome practically any element, the element of chaos is extremely destructive, affecting even conceptual elements.”

”I believe you will face problematic people in the future, so it is vital that you have high mastery of chaos magic, especially if you have to face opponents who manipulate time.”

When he mentions opponents who manipulate time, it seems he is referring to only one person, and I wonder who he is talking about.

However, I decide to set my curiosity aside and listen to what he has to say.

”To begin with, many believe that the initial principle of chaos magic is based on a disturbance or distortion between a complex mixture of elements.”

”Basically, the combination of various different elements in a complex way forms a chaotic mixture that generates the element of chaos.”

”In this theory, the basis of chaos magic is formed mainly by 4 elements, which are primal fire, primal water, primal wind, and primal earth.”

”After combining one of these 4 elements with other elements, it is possible to force the creation of chaos magic.”

”However, this is just a method used by those who don’t truly possess the element of chaos, with this method, even without knowing chaos magic, you can still use it.”

”But you are different, as the Demon King, you have access to chaos magic without really needing to use this method.”

”The difference between this method and those who truly have chaos magic is that the chaos magic of those who truly have the element is thousands of times more powerful.”

”Because the true principle of using chaos magic is to have affinity with all elements, it does not come from a mixture of elements, but from a source from which the elements originated.”

”Because chaos was formed before the elements, even the primal elements did not come before chaos.”

”That’s why a complex mixture of elements can form the element of chaos, precisely because the elements originated from it.”

”But chaos itself doesn’t need any element to be formed.”

”If you have mastery of chaos magic, you will be able to easily use almost any magic of any element.”

”Because the basis of the chaos element allows you to have knowledge and control over the other elements.”

I’ve never seen my master talk so much, he also seems excited about it, I think he likes this element, and from the descriptions, it seems really impressive.

”Master, you said that all elements originated from chaos, so the Primordial Goddess has dominion over the element of chaos, so theoretically having chaos magic doesn’t create a greater connection to this goddess?”

”...Theoretically yes, but the Primordial Goddess, as far as we know, does not care about the mortal races created by the goddesses, because for the Primordial Goddess, her attention is devoted to her own creations.”

”And the responsibility for the creation of mortals should go to the goddesses who created them.”

’Strange...so why am I a goddess?’ For me to be a goddess, the Primordial Goddess had to allow it, if she has no interest in mortals, then why did she allow me to become a goddess?

And if she pays attention to her own creations, then does that mean she is currently keeping an eye on my actions since she granted me the position of goddess?

”...Master, what would make her grant the title of goddess to a mortal?” I ask with extreme doubts.

”That’s impossible, the Primordial Goddess has never granted the position of goddess to any creation of other goddesses,” my master says as if this is an absolute certainty.

’...’

”Master, theoretically, imagine the following scenario.” My master starts to pay attention.

”If a body created by a goddess had a soul that was not created by any of the goddesses, and at the same time had great influence in the world and chaos magic, would it be possible for this being to draw the attention of the Primordial Goddess?”

My master momentarily closes his eyes while seeming to think deeply.

”That...might be possible, because theoretically it is not 100% a creation of the goddesses, but a foreign being like the heroes.”

”However, the heroes are human, as such they cannot become gods because there is already a goddess in charge of humans, for a new goddess to emerge, it would have to be from a race that does not have a goddess, if a race has or had a goddess, no one can replace that position even if the goddess has died.”

”Furthermore, it would necessarily have to have the female gender, because the basis of the creation of the goddesses is the Primordial Goddess herself, who is a female figure.”

”And most importantly of all, it would need to possess some degree of divinity in its own body, since without having any degree of divinity in the body, it cannot even have any chance of accessing anything divine.”

After my master said this, some things seem to make a little more sense.

’Don’t I fit all these conditions? That’s why I caught her attention? And that’s also why I don’t have another title in front of the title of goddess? Since my race only has two existing members...’

All the goddesses have something in front of the title goddess that indicates the race they dominate, but my title is just Goddess without any addition, if you think logically, it’s because my race only has two existing beings.

It also matches the description of a race that does not have a goddess, since the goddess of the abyss is our mother, not our goddess.

”Why this sudden doubt, disciple?” My master asks after giving me the answer.

”Nothing, I just thought it would be...interesting.” I’m not sure if I should tell him or not that I’m a Goddess, so far only Delphina knows this information.

”Master, could you talk about the advantages of being a goddess?” I ask with interest.

”There are many, but I think one of the most notable advantages is that you receive more power from the faith of your followers, the more followers you have, the more power you can extract from them.”

”Although even without followers, a goddess is extremely powerful, the followers are just an addition to your power, but sometimes this addition makes a considerable difference, especially if it’s against another goddess.”

’...That girl is my follower and is spreading my religion...I NEED TO CHECK MY STATUS.’

I quickly open my status and go to the part that talks about my followers.

[Status]

[Goddess #@%$@!%#

Current Followers = 4597

Religion = Beginning

Power Extracted from Followers = 02/2958

Accumulated Follower Power = 21098/21098]

”...” I make a shocked face, this was not like this before, it seems I can really gain power from my followers.

Also, it says there that I’m only extracting 02 of power from them out of a maximum of 2958, it seems there’s a limit to how much I can extract for myself, and the total accumulated is quite high.

”Why the surprised look, disciple? It seems you saw something shocking,” my master asks with curiosity.

”It’s just that I saw something incredible...sorry for interrupting, please continue the lesson on chaos magic.”

’I need to ask Delphina how to use this.’ I really want to use all this follower power for myself, with that I can become even stronger, and maybe in the future I can reach invincibility.

’I think I’ll visit that girl and grace her with my presence.’ She seems to be doing a great job, given that I already have 4597 followers.
