The Dark Rebirth of Pandora: Revenge of the Abyss

Chapter 169: If you beat me, I’ll be yours

”W-What did you call me Mikael?” I ask completely nervous, my heart racing and cold sweat running down my body, I look at him with my pupils trembling so fast they’re moving.

I think I’ve never been so nervous before, I even ask him to repeat it because I’m not sure if I really heard what I think I heard.

”Demon King, what are you doing here?” He repeats the question without showing any surprise or really caring about it, as if he didn’t care about the absurd thing he just said.

”I-I don’t know what you’re talking about? I-I’m the grand duchess, there’s no way I’m the Demon King” I say nervously as I think about what to do, thousands of possibilities and they’re all flaws.

There’s no way I can win or escape Mikael in the present even though I’ve gotten stronger, I think to be able to have a fight with him on equal terms I would need 50% of my total power and Violet.

”You can’t fool me, you smell good” Everything he says just confuses me more, if I had heard him saying I smell good before I would be extremely happy, but the situation is too difficult to be happy.

”H-Haha t-thank you for the compliment, b-but I’m not the Demon King, maybe you’re confused?” I’ve never been so nervous before.

”...Humans have an unpleasant smell, elves have a sickening smell, mermaids have an uncomfortable salty smell, beast men stink of wet animals, dwarves have a smell of earth and dust” He starts citing smells.

”Demons smell of sulfur, dragons have a smell of winter fruits and the monsters...they have varied smells, but with a common characteristic, they all have a sweet smell”

”You have a dark chocolate and strawberry smell, it’s not a smell coming from the outside, your own natural smell is sweet, ironically it’s the same smell as the Demon King, but the Demon King is unique which means nothing else will have the same smell as such a being”

”Each Demon King has their own unique smell, I have the passive...”

[Racial Smell - Each race has a unique smell that distinguishes them, the user is able to sense this smell as a way to identify them, ignoring status, spells, passives and abilities, nothing can hide this smell.]

”In other words, you can’t fool me just because you pretend to be human, so I ask you, what are you doing here Demon King?” He says with coldness and absolute confidence.

I swallow hard, it’s obvious that he knows and won’t believe my lies, I think of all the possibilities I can say, I can’t let fear dominate me, I’m strong and intelligent, there has to be something I can do.

’W-Wait, he didn’t tell anyone and didn’t do anything...’ I still have a chance to convince him, Mikael is not a good-hearted hero ally of justice, he is someone fanatical about fights.

In other words, he doesn’t care that I’m in the human kingdom and doesn’t care at all about humanity, in short, he doesn’t care if I kill people or try to destroy the kingdom.

”Mikael, can I know why you didn’t tell anyone?” He could have killed me the moment he knew, but he decided not to do anything, this gives me confidence to convince him.

’As expected of my beloved hehehe’ This makes me a little happy, he recognized me even though he had only seen me once, I feel like a girl who has just been noticed by her crush.

”...Because it’s not interesting, I thought it was a waste of time to come to the kingdom, but I ended up finding you, which relieves some of the boredom” He says with a certain boredom in his voice.

”I-I’m stronger” I get up agitated from the seat, putting my hand on my chest while looking directly at him, I need to make him interested in me, only then will I know he won’t kill me.

”I can at least entertain you in a fight now, and if you wait a few more years, I’ll finally have the power to give you the greatest battle of your life” I say excitedly to him.

”...It’s true that you’re much stronger compared to when I fought you, but it’s not enough for me to consider you a real challenge after all...” I interrupt him.

”T-This is 25% of my total power, the power I currently have is equivalent to 25% of what I’ll have at maximum status, and I can even get stronger even if I reach maximum status” He was going to say that I’m not a challenge, but as soon as I say that my current power is only 25% of my total power, this catches his interest, especially the part about me getting stronger.

”You said 25% and that you can get even stronger... that’s certainly interesting” For the first time a smile appears on his face, though only briefly, but it’s enough to be etched in my memory forever.

”Okay Pandora, I’ll give you the time you need” It’s obvious he was going to kill me, but I got his interest, I knew it would be like this.

’As I imagined, he’s perfect’ Someone who doesn’t care about other people’s lives, someone who has no interest in morals and has no real connections, which means I can be the only one in his heart.

”Let’s make a deal, what do you say Mikael?” I sit back down on the seat excited about all this, I’m happy that Mikael is a fanatic about fights, if he were the type who cares about other people’s lives, he would have killed me.

”What kind of deal?” He asks with some interest.

”I want you to marry me” I respond without any filter.

”Marriage?... Wait, are you implying that?... Hahaha you’re a fun woman” He quickly realizes what I meant and laughs, his laughter makes my heart skip a beat.

What I meant is obvious to him, I just said I’m going to win, after all he can’t marry a dead person.

”I accept your deal, if you beat me, I’ll be yours, after all I like strong women” He just agreed to the deal.

”Are you a virgin?” An important question, all my noble training goes out the window, Mikael is direct so there’s no reason for me to limit myself to human etiquette.

”How direct, but I’m not a virgin” He denies being a virgin.

”...” I bite my lips so hard that blood drips.

”May I know who the bitch was?” I ask with barely contained rage in my voice.

”A prostitute, she’s probably not alive anymore, normal people have a low life expectancy after all”

”How many?” I say just one word.

”Many, more than I can count” He doesn’t hesitate to answer even though he sees I’m hating this.

”You’re forbidden from visiting a brothel, red light district or whorehouse, whatever you call it” I know it’s natural for a man like him to want sex, after all I was a man.

But still, it’s so disgusting to know that random prostitutes slept with my man.

”...” He looks at me seriously.

”So you’ll replace them? I have a strong libido, I can’t go without satisfying myself just because you want to”

”Of course I accept!!!” I would never refuse that.

’How can this damn handsome man have time for sex when he’s addicted to fighting?’

”Don’t look at me like that, it’s not like I’m constantly chasing after women, I usually buy a prostitute when I’m on missions for the kingdom, they’re boring and take too long and never have satisfying fights”

”Y-YOU WERE PLANNING TO BETRAY ME IN BROAD DAYLIGHT??” This current mission fits what he said, in other words, he was going to go after prostitutes even with me here.

”Betray you? I don’t think we’re at that level yet” He says sarcastically, provoking me.

”Y-You womanizer!!!”

”Well, just beat me as you said you would” He seems to have gained interest in me and is now provoking me, which is good, the greater his interest in me, the more attached to me he will be.

”You can be sure, I’m going to break that pretty face of yours!!” Of course I’ll fix it afterwards, but he needs to get beaten a little.

”...Besides...now that we’re in this... if I find out you’ve been with prostitutes, I’ll castrate you” I want to have children with him, but there’s magic.

I can always remove his ”little friend” and return it later, he puts his hand above his ”little friend” protectively by reflex when facing my eyes full of obsessive love for him.

”Hahaha I think I’ve never felt this before, maybe we’ll turn out better than I thought” He laughs for having done that by reflex, it’s natural for men to always defend their ”little friend”.

”So tell me Pandora, are you a virgin” He questions.

”Of course I...well...” I was going to say yes but I completely freeze.

”Well....I swear by the goddess of the abyss that I’ve never slept with a man in my life!!” This should serve as sufficient proof, it’s completely true that I’ve never slept with a man before.

”...With whom did you lose your virginity? If you wanted to know mine, I think I deserve this answer”

”It was with myself” Technically this is correct, after all, who broke my hymen was me with my own tail, although I was a bit delusional and said it was Elena at the time of the act.

”B-Besides, I didn’t sleep with that many women! You’re the one who slept with a bunch of prostitutes”

”Okay, why did you want to ask me to marry you?” He changes the subject.

”Because you fight?” I ask in response.

”Because I like it”

”So you already have your answer” It’s not like I have some super wonderful reason, I just like him so I want him for myself.

”So you love me? Why?” He questions why I love him.

”Do you really need reasons? Love is just strange, that’s all” I give the answer I believe is right, love is just strange.

”Love? I think it’s a bit clichéd for a monster to want love, don’t you think?” He says this, but not in an offensive way.

”Maybe, but who cares, right?” I don’t care if it’s clichéd or not.

”So what you’re looking for with me is closer to something natural rather than love” He responds, not denying my love, but saying it’s different from normal love.

”And what would I be looking for then?” I ask.

”Children, you’re a monster, it’s not uncommon for female monsters who have evolved to simply kidnap a suitable man to have children, a monster’s love is different from humans”

”You love me, but this love has arisen from a natural need for self-preservation, you want children so you’ve chosen a strong man to be your partner”

’I see...’ He’s seeing what I’ll think of having my love reduced to a mere primitive instinct of procreation.

”You’re right, I want children that will come from our union” I get up and get on his lap, looking him straight in the eyes.

”And I’ll do anything for that, even if I have to tear you to pieces to get what I want” My tone is honest, making it clear that I would do that if necessary.

”Do you consider this love?” He asks, looking directly into my eyes that are like a red and black abyss where the spiral helps to give this effect as if it had no end.

”Yes, this is the love I have, and it’s the only love I know, I don’t need a pathetic love like humans”

”Love arises in various forms, you can’t deny my love just because it seems abnormal to you, because if it’s to get what I want, my love will override anything”

”Good answer Pandora, I thought you’d get angry”

”I am angry, very angry, so you’d better give me a great date when we go to the kingdom, you’re paying the bill” He should demonstrate the chivalry of paying for me just because I want to, it’s not like I need it, but he irritated me, so he should appease my feelings now.

”Pfff hahaha you’re already talking like a wife, okay, okay, you won this one, I’ll give you a date” I get excited about what he said and get off his lap.

I sit back down in my seat with a barely contained smile.
