CEO's Reborn Wife

Chapter 2000: Chapter 2008: Where Are You Going

The person he longed to protect and cherished deeply was being treated this way.

”Give me the key.” James Black extended his hand toward the young man.

Every word he spoke now, every sentence, required a lifelong restraint to prevent himself from directly punching the 20-year-old standing next to him to death.

Every time he heard the young man speak, using such frivolous language to describe her, to insult her, James Black had to pinch his palm hard.

”Brother Strongman, are you serious? Are you going to untie her?” The young man had a look of shock, ”Brother Strongman, do you really care for her? Could it be you’re serious about her? Although I admit, she is very beautiful, but hey, women, it’s all about novelty. Are you truly heartbroken and caught up?”

Even though the young man’s mouth said this, he still called the mute aunt from downstairs to come up and hand the key to James Black, while saying, ”She takes sleeping pills every day, so it’s fine to untie her. She doesn’t have much strength to escape, with all those injuries and barely eating anything, she surely doesn’t have the energy to run.”

After speaking, the young man confidently handed over the key, while bragging, ”Brother Strongman, seeing how much you like her, I think this surprise I prepared was really worth it. Without me, you wouldn’t have met Jane Sampson in your lifetime, right? Many people online call her a goddess. Do you even know what that word means?”

James Black didn’t respond to the young man with a single word, but instead, gently went to unlock the iron ring around Jane Sampson’s ankle.

The iron ring was somewhat tight, or maybe Jane Sampson had struggled while awake, so there were some marks on her ankle, a reddened circle the size of the ring, with some blood streaks in certain corners.

At 20 years old, the young man’s life seemed devoid of the word compassion; human life was as insignificant to him as ants. James Black bent down and gently picked up the person in the bed. When he was about to turn and leave, the young man blocked him.

”Brother Strongman, where are you going?” The young man blocked him and asked, ”Where are you taking her?”

”Didn’t you say she was mine first?” James Black lowered his eyes, his voice deep, ”So, I’m taking her back to my place first.”

”Why would you go back to that broken place of yours?” The young man didn’t understand, ”That rundown house you rent, whenever it rains, everything leaks except for the faucet. Before, it was because you hadn’t been introduced to our big boss, so I couldn’t let you stay here with me, but I’ve informed my boss this time, so in the future, you’ll stay here with me.”

The young man reached out and tried to pull him back, ”Here, the mute aunt can cook, do the laundry, and clean for us. The rooms here are spacious, luxuriously decorated, and if we go out to make money, the mute aunt can watch over her for us. How great, right? Listen to me, don’t go back to that broken place of yours; stay here with me, and I’ll have company.”

The young man, seeing the man in front not swayed, finally grew a little displeased, dropping his expression, ”Brother Strongman, what’s wrong? You don’t want to live with me? Let me be frank, if you don’t live with me, don’t even think about me introducing you to the big boss to make big money. Also, you can’t take Jane Sampson away.”

Saying this, the young man released James Black’s hand and took a step back, making a gesture to keep a distance.
