CEO's Reborn Wife

Chapter 1979: Chapter 1987: Employee Number 576

”Wait a minute.” The hotel’s Chairman, who had been silent, suddenly tapped the General Manager’s shoulder and asked, ”Are you talking about the employee who told you that I urgently needed you to come to the office and meet me?”

The General Manager nodded.

”There’s something wrong with this employee.” The Chairman suddenly raised his voice, ”I never asked anyone to find you, let alone having an urgent matter for you.”

The Chairman said, ”Just now in the office, the secretary suddenly came in and told me that you rushed upstairs to find me. Coincidentally, I happened to have something to discuss with you, so I let the secretary bring you into my office. As a result, as soon as you came in, you asked with an urgent face what urgent matters I had to call you up.”

The Chairman recalled the incident just now, ”Didn’t I tell you I wasn’t looking for you?”

But at that time, the Chairman didn’t pay much attention, thinking that since the General Manager had come, he would first explain the matter he was about to address to the General Manager.

Before he could finish explaining to the General Manager, the Manager received a call about Jane Sampson being kidnapped in the hotel’s parking lot.

”The Chairman really didn’t send anyone to call me?” The General Manager looked perplexed.

No wonder when he returned to the office, he didn’t see the Chairman and found the Chairman was in his own office.

At first, he thought the Chairman, being impatient, had simply gone back, which is why he went to the Chairman’s office.

In a hurry, initially, he didn’t clearly hear what the Chairman said, and later while the Chairman was explaining things to him, his mind was troubled, wondering why the Chairman was acting so erratically today, knowing he was seeing off important guests, yet calling him back for a trivial matter that couldn’t even be described as urgent.

”I didn’t ask anyone to call you.” The Chairman shook his head, ”Do you remember the employee’s badge number?”

”576.” Ratty and Grid said simultaneously.

Sister Bell had just finished a call with friends from the police station, hearing this, turned and confirmed once again.

”It’s 576.” Coco Edwards nodded in agreement, ”I glanced at his name badge, it’s 576.”

Every hotel employee has a name badge, with their badge number and name on it, making it convenient for guests to remember each hotel staff serving them. If a guest is dissatisfied, they can complain using the badge number or name.

”Check.” The Chairman gestured vaguely with his finger in the air.

The police and hospital ambulance arrived together, leaving some with the hotel’s personnel, while others accompanied the injured to the hospital, taking statements from conscious individuals and asking about the incident on the way.

Before the ambulance reached the hospital, the hotel already had a response.

The General Manager personally called Rock Bell.

”Ms. Bell, the Human Resources Department checked the records, 576 is an employee of the Finance Department. Two days ago, it seems a relative of his passed away, so he took personal leave for the funeral. I checked 576’s HR records, and the photo is not the person we saw today in the underground parking lot.” The hotel’s General Manager sincerely apologized.

The hotel has a lot of employees and personnel changes across various departments frequently occur, so even as a General Manager, he cannot remember every employee’s face.
