CEO's Reborn Wife

Chapter 1976: Chapter 1984: Unable to Get Through

Coco Edwards’ hands were trembling uncontrollably. She struggled to take her mobile phone out of her pocket, and with a shake, it fell to Grid’s feet.

Grid glanced at Coco Edwards, and with difficulty, bent down to pick up her mobile phone and handed it back to her.

Coco Edwards took it back without saying a word, unlocked it, and quickly dialed a call to Rock Bell, but just after dialing out, before it connected, the phone swiftly returned to the main page.

Coco Edwards glanced at the corner of the phone, and tears immediately burst out, ”Grid, my phone has no signal, I can’t make calls.”

At this moment, Grid also discovered this problem.

”The underground parking lot is equipped with a signal jammer.” Grid realized the crux of the problem in an instant, ”No wonder the phone of the person in charge couldn’t connect just now.”

It’s just that at that time, no one would have thought that there was a signal jammer in the parking lot.

Grid was very annoyed. If he had been more vigilant at that moment and taken out his mobile phone to check, if he only looked once and found his phone also had no signal, he surely would have thought of the signal jammer.

”You take the elevator, go directly upstairs to find people.” Grid said, ”I’ll stay here to watch over James Carter.”

Coco Edwards knew this was no time for her to cry, wiped her tears, and quickly grasped the wall to stand up, nodded her head, and ran in the direction she came from, clutching her mobile phone.

Just as Grid guessed, Coco Edwards did not see Ratty or James Carter’s assistant along the way.

Also, if they were okay, they would have come to assist by now.

Coco Edwards rushed into the elevator, silently hoping in her heart that Ratty and the others are alright.

Hoping to get little Jane back soon.

This was the second time little Jane had an incident while under her care.

The first time was when villagers overturned the express train, causing a car accident.

This time, little Jane was directly kidnapped in front of her eyes.

Fortunately, Coco Edwards had a smooth journey, and no one jumped out to stop her from going upstairs to call for help again.

The elevator stopped on the sixth floor, and Coco Edwards rushed out, walking only a few meters, when she ran into Rock Bell and the director, who were talking and walking this way.

”Sister Bell! Sister Bell!” Coco Edwards hurriedly ran over.

There were people coming and going here, so she dared not shout about Jane Sampson being kidnapped.

Rock Bell had never seen Coco Edwards so desperate before, her heart instantly tightened, wasn’t this Jane Sampson in trouble? Could there be reporters downstairs?

”What happened?” The director, seeing Coco Edwards like that, also started to worry.

Coco Edwards immediately pulled the two of them to a place with no people, and finally couldn’t control her tears anymore, which fell in streams, ”Jane was kidnapped in the underground parking lot!”

”What!” Rock Bell staggered.

”Kidnapped?” The director couldn’t shout out another word, but his reaction was quick, swiftly contacting the hotel’s person in charge.

Rock Bell immediately went with Coco Edwards into the elevator to go downstairs to check the situation.

In the elevator, Rock Bell was extremely anxious, ”How did she get kidnapped? Weren’t there two bodyguards protecting her?”

”Ratty and Mr. Carter’s assistant are whereabouts unknown now, life and death are uncertain, the kidnapper has a gun, one of Grid’s feet was run over by the car, his other foot was shot, Mr. Carter was knocked out.” Coco Edwards said while crying.
