CEO's Reborn Wife

Chapter 1977: Chapter 1985: The CCTV Is Broken

”When the kidnappers drove out, Grid threw me aside, and I fainted for several minutes before waking up.”

”Sister Bell, I’m sorry, I didn’t protect little Jane.” Coco Edwards was filled with guilt; at this moment, she would rather trade herself for Jane Sampson.

In this world, she has no attachments, dying would mean nothing.

But Jane Sampson is different; she has just reunited with her parents, she still has so many people she cares about and so many who care about her.

Rock Bell weakly waved his hand; even bodyguards like Ratty and Grid couldn’t withstand this kind of kidnapping. Coco Edwards, a girl, was even more powerless.

When Rock Bell and Coco Edwards reached basement Level 2, one of the hotel’s security teams had already arrived at the scene. The fainted James Carter had been propped up against the wall.

And Grid was being supported by two people, looking around for the signal jammer.

”Did you find Ratty and the others?” Rock Bell walked over and asked.

Grid gently shook his head and continued, ”I put a tracker in the car, but it might not work.”

There were signal jammers placed in the parking lot, so maybe in the car as well. With the interference from the signal jammers, the tracker was basically just for show.

”What about the CCTV? Where’s the CCTV here?” Coco Edwards urgently asked.

”Sorry, we just found out the CCTV over here was broken, so we hurried over to check the situation, and only then did we realize something happened here.” The team leader of security Team One looked remorseful.

”The CCTV is broken?”

The director, along with the hotel’s General Manager and Chairman, came over, and upon hearing the CCTV was broken, immediately shouted, ”What have you all been doing? How could the CCTV be broken?”

”The CCTV was tampered with.” Grid covered his chest and coughed lowly, ”The kidnappers drove a black FTSUV, license plate XXX080, approximately 1.75 meters tall, wore a white shirt, black suit pants, black leather shoes, judging from the exposed skin, he seemed to be a young man, fair-skinned, wearing a Piggy’s mask, the voice wasn’t normal, so it’s unrecognizable.”

”I swung a baton with all my might at his back. Even though I was injured, I didn’t hold back. But even after taking a hit, he didn’t seem to feel much pain, so he might be one of those rare people with pain insensitivity. These patients are rare, so you could check the hospital for patients with such conditions who match other characteristics of the kidnapper.”

Grid coughed two more times, breathing heavily, ”I’m sorry, this is all I can provide.”

”Call the police.” The hotel’s General Manager looked at the director and Rock Bell.

”Report.” Rock Bell immediately nodded, ”But the kidnapping of Jane Sampson must be kept confidential! It must not be leaked!”

”Understood!” The General Manager nodded repeatedly.

Everyone understood that Jane Sampson is a public figure, and if the news of her kidnapping spread, it could escalate, and the kidnappers might find taking her hostage too troublesome and decide to kill her instead.

”There are also three people you need to find.” Rock Bell turned to the hotel’s General Manager, ”One is Ratty’s bodyguard, one is James Carter’s assistant, you’ve met both of them, and the third is the subordinate who just gave you information. None of them know where they are right now.”

As soon as Rock Bell finished speaking, someone over there brought Ratty and James Carter’s assistant running over.
