CEO's Reborn Wife

Chapter 1997: Chapter 2005: Leave a Work Alive

After entering the private room and taking a seat, the young man waved his hand generously and ordered over a dozen dishes for the two of them. Once the waiter left with the menu, he whispered to James Black, ”Let me tell you quietly, our boss has shares in this restaurant. Making money is making money, but it’s nowhere near as fast as our other business.”

At this point, the young man stood up, pushed open the private room’s window, and stood in front of the window waving to James Black, who sat there, saying, ”Brother Strongman, come take a look at that hotel across the street. It’s the most high-end hotel in our place. Back then, our big boss was very envious and wanted a cut, but unfortunately, couldn’t get a hand in. Oh, by the way, you probably don’t know, right? That big star, Jane Sampson, was abducted from this hotel across the street.”

Saying this, the young man sat back down in his seat, speaking contemptuously, ”These five-star grand hotels claim to have first-class security. It’s really laughable. Honestly, their security isn’t even enough for me to have fun with.”

Since the young man was a regular, the kitchen prioritized serving their dishes first.

He had barely spoken a few words when the dishes started arriving, prompting the young man to pause their chat. Instead, he began to introduce James Black to the dishes, refraining from bragging any further in front of the waiter.

The meal was relatively harmonious. The young man was clearly accustomed to Brother Strongman’s taciturn nature as a dining companion, so he spent the entire time explaining the origin of the lobsters and abalones on the table, detailing how expensive and delicious they were.

The lunch, in this way, dragged on for more than two hours before it finished.

After leaving the restaurant, the young man drove with James Black towards the city’s renowned mansion district.

Along the way, the sound of music in the car was no match for the whistle of the young man.

The car entered a premium community filled with villas, driving all the way to a standalone villa.

The young man drove the car into the courtyard, smugly telling the person inside the car who was about to get out, ”How about this villa? It covers more than 500 square meters, quite spacious, right? Let me tell you, this house belongs to our boss, but he doesn’t live here, so he’s temporarily letting me stay. I’ve lived here for two or three years now.”

The young man slipped the car key into his pocket, ”Inside, there’s a mute aunt who does my laundry and cooking. This mute aunt is one of the big boss’s people. Her cooking skills are impeccable. Stay tonight and try it, and you’ll see.”

James Black immediately understood that the so-called mute aunt must be the one left behind by the big boss to monitor him, suggesting that the big boss was quite a suspicious person.

The young man opened the door with his fingerprint and led James Black inside, boasting about the luxurious features of the house as they went. He took James straight to the third floor.

At the doorway of the room at the far end of the third floor, he stopped, glanced back at the man with the calm face behind him, and smiled with a hint of mischief, ”Brother Strongman, the big gift inside—consider it my token of gratitude for saving my life. It was originally meant for me, but since you like it, I’ll let you have it first.”

”What?” James Black asked.

”Don’t worry about what it is just yet. Just know you can have fun, but don’t overdo it. Leave them some breath. I went through a lot of trouble to bring the person here and have yet to enjoy it myself. I consider you a brother, so I’m letting you first. Once you’re done, leave them alive for me too, so I can have some fun as well.”
