CEO's Reborn Wife

Chapter 1972: Chapter 1980: Sharp Eyes

”To avoid unnecessary attention, I’m afraid we have to trouble you two to take the car we arranged for you from the hotel.”

After exiting the elevator, the person in charge told Jane Sampson and James Carter, ”The arranged car is a modified minivan; the exterior looks like a Wuling shell, but it’s refitted inside and pretty comfortable to sit in. From the outside, it looks unremarkable, and those unaware might think it’s a utility vehicle.”

Actually, the person in charge wanted to say that those who don’t know might think this minivan is just for cargo. But such words can’t be said lightly because Jane Sampson and James Carter will be sitting in that car shortly, and if encountered with someone ill-tempered, he could be misunderstood as implying Jane Sampson and James Carter are being compared to goods.

”Your hotel is very considerate,” James Carter said with a smile, taking the car key from the person’s hands and continued, ”I’ve stayed here for a few days, causing quite some trouble to your esteemed hotel, and I appreciate your thoughtful reception.”

This is not just polite talk; after all, the subsequent matters require cooperation from here, so James Carter naturally knows what kind of words make people feel relaxed.

Even though this is a global chain of five-star hotels, being able to accommodate guests in such a manner truly shows diligence and responsibility.

The few engaged in small talk while heading towards the parking area. Not far away, someone in hotel uniform ran over here, gasping along the way.

”General Manager, the Chairman suddenly arrived at the hotel, saying there’s an urgent matter for you, now waiting in your office.” The employee said, ”Called your phone, but for some reason, General Manager, your phone wasn’t connected at all. The Chairman is anxious, and after asking around, knowing you led guests to the garage, he told me to come down and find you.”

”This...” The person in charge was stunned, ”My assistant hasn’t informed the Chairman that I have VIP guests here?”

”Yes, but the Chairman is very urgent, seems to be an extremely important issue.” The male employee lowered his head while wiping the sweat with his hand, panting.

”You should attend to it first, just tell us the parking space number, and we’ll go by ourselves,” Jane Sampson saw the person in charge looking troubled and spoke first to ease his concerns, ”You’ve already helped us a lot by bringing us here.”

”That’s my duty, Miss Sampson, I’m embarrassed by your politeness.” The person in charge apologized sincerely and then told the employee who notified him, ”Take the VIP guests to Garage No. 198.”

”Yes, General Manager.” The hotel employee nodded in agreement.

The people continued walking forward only after watching the person in charge hurriedly enter the elevator and leave. The person leading Jane Sampson and James Carter walked for a while, finally not panting or needing to wipe sweat.

James Carter whispered to Jane Sampson, chatting about matters inside the film crew and the press reception just now. Jane Sampson responded while her gaze was observing around.

Unintentionally, she glanced at the back of the head of the leading hotel employee in front, let out a ”Hmm,” focused carefully, and suddenly spoke, ”Why does he seem a bit familiar?”

”Who?” James Carter asked puzzledly.

”Him.” Jane Sampson pointed at the hotel employee in front, ”Feels like I’ve seen him somewhere.”

Jane Sampson’s voice wasn’t deliberately lowered, so naturally, the person in front could hear it.
