CEO's Reborn Wife

Chapter 1985: Chapter 1993: Bugging Device

The paparazzo scoffed scornfully and continued to laugh, ”What? Jane Sampson is missing? You’re all in a panic, stooping so low, willing to do business with someone like me? Or is it that you want to do business with me here, tell me, isn’t that strange for people like you, with money?”

The paparazzo shrugged after speaking, ”I know nothing, and besides, I quite like it here, so I’m happy to stay a bit longer, no need for you to worry, free food and drink, pretty good.”

After saying this, the paparazzo closed his eyes, directly refusing to communicate.

Harper Black, furious, raised his hand and slammed his fist onto the railing, then shouted at Brooke Black and Coco Edwards to turn around and leave.

”This paparazzo obviously knows something but is deliberately not saying,” Coco Edwards gritted her teeth with anger, ”How can there be people like this in the world? Hurting others without benefiting oneself, always doing things that don’t profit him, sitting there like a lunatic, laughing constantly, his laughter chilling.”

”He must know, otherwise why would he ask if Jane’s gone missing?” Brooke Black nodded, ”It’s even possible that he accidentally captured the kidnapper in a photo, and the kidnapper later approached him, this paparazzo might have had contact with the kidnappers.”

The three were talking when suddenly a little police officer ran over to them, repeatedly saying, ”That car has been found! It was found at an abandoned brick factory in a village, burned till only the car’s head remained. At the scene, another tire print was discovered, and it’s very new, suggesting that the kidnappers changed cars at the brick factory.”

”Did you find the robbers from that village?” Brooke Black hurriedly asked.

”No, that brick factory has been abandoned for years. Back then, due to pollution issues, the location chosen was far from the villagers’ living area, so no one saw when the car drove in, nor did anyone notice if there were strangers in the village today. Later, when our police officers inquired about the villagers, asking if any home village villagers drove back to the village today.”

The officer handed the record over to Brooke Black, ”By checking the whereabouts of villagers who returned to the village today in the afternoon, we can basically rule out the possibility that a villager committed the crime. This village doesn’t have outside population, except during festivals, it’s mostly elderly and children, so the investigation was relatively quick.”

It’s just because the village situation is simple, that the investigation process was fast, and the results came quickly.

The kidnappers should also know the village’s situation, so he should have thought about the fact that a young person driving back to the village suddenly would easily be noticed and remembered.

Brooke Black’s eyebrows furrowed tighter and tighter, standing there quite uneasy.

So much time has passed, and the kidnappers haven’t contacted anyone yet.

”What is Elder Black saying?” Brooke Black looked at Harper Black.

Before going to see the paparazzo, Harper Black had specifically given Old Master Black a call to inform him of Jane Sampson’s incident here.

On the call, Old Master Black, upon hearing that Jane Sampson had been kidnapped, coughed several times in anger.

”Waiting for news,” Harper Black said, ”Sunny Black and his wife have gone back to Black Residence to take care of the old sir.”

As they talked, they headed back to the director’s office.

At this time, Rock Bell was still there, making phone calls continuously, one after another, while Mother Carter and Father Carter were also busy, using all the connections they could find useful.

After Harper Black and the others entered and sat for a while, Rock Bell finished a call and suddenly stood up.

She looked at everyone and said, ”We might need to go back to the hotel. Just now, Harry Little Money called me and said that while she was cleaning up, she accidentally knocked over the things on the table. The flowers from the vase, and the nearly withered flowers in the bouquet fell to the ground, and she saw something inside that looked like a wiretap device.”

”Yes! Back then, that paparazzo pretended to be a security guard and brought Jane Sampson a bouquet at the film set, claiming it was left by fans, so Jane didn’t think much of it and kept it. But because her room’s vase was full, she gave the whole bouquet to me and Harry Little Money.”

Coco Edwards said, ”Later, Harry Little Money and I found two empty bottles and placed some flowers in them, but there’s still more than half of the bouquet left because we didn’t have bottles, so we placed the remaining half bouquet along with the original packaging next to the vase.”
