Rebirth in the 90s: Her Counterattack and Redemption

Chapter 40: Chapter 40 Making a Scene

Luo Feng’s fight with Wang Wei was fierce. Physically, Luo Feng was stronger than Wang Wei, but in terms of experience, Wang Wei had the upper hand.

As his stamina dropped, Luo Feng was clearly at a disadvantage. The bruises and bloodstains on his face only excited Wang Wei further, whose movements became even faster as he cursed.

Soon Luo Feng could only defend without the strength to counterattack. Remembering the fleeting disappointment he had seen on his sister’s face, Luo Feng gritted his teeth, his face red with effort, refusing to utter a cry of pain.

Ye’er watched with a furrowed brow; Luo Feng was fighting like a foolishly honorable man—no strikes to the face, neck, or chest—whereas Wang Wei hit wherever he could. How could her foolish brother gain any advantage this way?

Even so, Ye’er had no intention to intervene. With Wang Wei’s strength, it was just superficial tissue damage; a few days with some medicine would heal. For the sake of the future, let her brother trade pain for experience, some things needed to be personally experienced to leave a lasting impression.

But Wang Wei went too far, feinting a move to trip Luo Feng to the ground, and then aiming a kick at Luo Feng’s head. ”Dou Dou, go for the neck!” Ye’er was instantly furious. What deep hatred could justify such a ruthless attack?

”Ah... ah... ouch... ow... ah...” Dou Dou, sensing the anger in its owner’s voice, bit viciously. Wang Wei’s neck, chin, and cheeks quickly turned a visible shade of purple.

Ye’er didn’t stand idle either; she kicked Wang Wei’s leg out and seemingly went on a wild spree of punches and kicks, but she was actually targeting those painful spots that wouldn’t leave lasting injuries.

She caught sight of people in the schoolyard looking over, some even approaching, especially after seeing that familiar figure, which made her actions even crazier, and she also made her hair look messily torn.

Damn it, she thought, she had to make full use of this effective time. Seeing its little master going mad, Dou Dou cooperatively twisted... twisted... twisted Wang Wei’s nape. Hehe... Wang Wei, bad luck for you! If you don’t take the broad road and insist on the narrow bridge instead, then enjoy to your heart’s content!

”Ye... Ye... Ye’er...” It took Luo Feng quite some time to recover, his little sister’s fighting spirit made him feel utterly ashamed!

Wang Wei, having been hit so obediently just now, was really stunned. When he came to his senses, rage boiled inside of him. When had he ever been bullied like this? He tried to grab Ye’er’s hair, but no sooner had his hand stretched out than Dou Dou viciously twisted it.

”Damn bird, if I don’t roast you when I catch you, I’ll take your last name!” Looking at his bloodied hand, Wang Wei was about to explode with anger, unaware of the state of his own face.

Ye’er rolled her eyes: ”Hmph, even if you want to take Dou Dou’s last name, you’d have to ask if it agrees!” She landed a few more punches on Wang Wei as she spoke.

”Damn girl, make that damn bird shut up, and you better stop too!” Being beaten up by a bird and a seemingly frail girl, who would believe him if he told them?

”You stop just because you say stop? When you were hitting my brother, did you ever think to stop? You even wanted to kick my brother’s head. What deep hatred do you have that warrants such ruthlessness? Don’t you know kicking the head can kill a person?

It’s not as bad as my Dou Dou. So far, Dou Dou has only twisted your neck, cheeks, and the back of your hand. Have you ever thought about what would happen if it twisted one of your eyes?”

”It... if it twists off one of my eyes, do you think... you can escape responsibility?” Wang Wei gasped and dodged, his face full of disdain: ”My dad is the deputy director of the organization department, do you... do you understand?”

”And when you were kicking my brother, did you ever think that my dad is the Executive Vice Mayor?” Ye’er saw the people approaching and with a push, Wang Wei fell to the ground, while she retreated two steps and sat down on the ground herself.

”You... ow...” Wang Wei didn’t expect Ye’er to pull such a move, and the words he wanted to say were knocked right back.

”Ye’er...” Luo Feng, distressed, helped Ye’er up, his heart in turmoil. Wang Wei’s face was so swollen he was almost unrecognizable; if their father found out, wouldn’t he beat them to death?

”Brother, are you okay? Does your head still hurt? Do you feel very dizzy? Brother...”

Wang Wei stared in stunned silence at Luo Ye, who had been normal just a moment ago but was now clinging to Luo Feng, sobbing with snot and tears streaming down. Seriously, couldn’t she be an actress?

”Little Luo Ye, it’s you!” Song Fang Zheng was the first to speak, examining the few people with a smile in his eyes: ”Such big kids, yet you still fight like this?”

”Uncle Song...” Luo Ye sobbed, her face the picture of grievance: ”My brother and I were sitting here chatting, and Wang Wei was playing basketball over there. It was none of our business, but he deliberately threw the basketball to scare our Miao Miao.

We ignored him, wanting to take Miao Miao home, but he tried to catch Miao Miao to take home and roast for a meal. I wouldn’t let him, and then he started hitting me and saying nasty things. My brother...”

As she spoke, tears poured down: ”Of course, my brother was protecting me, and Wang Wei came at us, punching and kicking my brother.

My brother is kind-hearted and wouldn’t hit his vital parts, but he just hit wherever he could. In the end, he deliberately caused trouble, tripping my brother and stomping towards his head.

I was desperate when I saw it; if that stomp landed, my brother would have been dead for sure. Uncle Song, you tell me, we never wronged him before, why would he harm my brother like this?

At that moment, I felt the blood rushing to my head. I would risk my life not to let him kill my brother. Miao Miao is very sympathetic. Seeing him tearing my hair and hitting me, it flew over to help me. If not for Miao Miao, maybe my brother and I would have been beaten to death, wuwu... Uncle Song, you are the fairest person, you have to help us siblings. This person is too much of a bully, wuwu...”

The current situation at a glance was like a tyrant bullying a maiden, and when the maiden resisted, the tyrant tried to take her by force and ended up losing out.

Luo Ye cried clumsily, a pitiful sight of a damsel in distress, with her hair a mess and whether sweat or tears, it clung in strands on her forehead, her shoulders heaving, which made her seem even more disheveled and pitiable.

Luo Feng now admired his little sister to death. She had been full of vigor just a moment ago, and now she turned into the pitiable Lin from the stories, anyone would think that the scuffle just now was merely for show. As for Wang Wei’s injuries, they were the faithful work of Little Seagull, defending its master; could you really take issue with a little seagull?

”You... you’re talking nonsense. When did I ever rip your hair?” Wang Wei finally snapped back to reality. Good heavens, the blatant lies, he had truly witnessed.

This half-truth, half-false tale, he couldn’t really find fault with. Could he say that the Luo siblings were the ones who picked a fight with him? Even though he was spoiled, he couldn’t bring himself to say that.

Everyone in the compound knew the Luo siblings were cowardly, damn it, how did they suddenly grow so bold today? If he had known it would turn out like this, he wouldn’t have bothered looking for some fun. He was just bored and wanted to tease them a bit, and then, well, it just got exciting without much thought.

”Wang Wei, you’ve ripped off a strand of my hair, how can you be so shameless?” Luo Ye cried as she picked up a strand of hair from the ground, leaving Wang Wei completely speechless. Could it be that he really... accidentally ripped out her hair?

Song Fang Zheng quickly intervened: ”Alright, alright, everyone go home and take care of your injuries first!”

”That’s right, go home and treat your wounds first, anything else you can slowly talk over!”

”Yes, yes, definitely don’t let it get infected!”

”...”

The crowd also started advising, with neither family being trivial, it was difficult for them to take sides, but they could still say some kind words. However, their gazes clearly showed they believed Luo Ye.
