Rebirth in the 90s: Her Counterattack and Redemption

Chapter 3: Chapter 3 The Same Day?

Shangguan Yingnuo rested her head on the book, looking at Luo Ye with a pitiful expression: ”Luoluo, why do I feel that while youʼve become braver, you also speak less and are less willing to interact with others?”

”Do I? Havenʼt I always been like this?” Luo Ye grabbed Shangguan Yingnuo: ”No matter how I change, you will always be my most trusted and best friend, donʼt worry!”

Yingnuo smiled and nodded: ”Mhm, although Iʼm not quite used to you suddenly becoming a bit distant, I still hope you get stronger and not be bullied anymore!”

”I will!” Luo Ye nodded.

Yingnuo made an exaggerated face: ”If I hadnʼt personally taken you to the infirmary, if I wasnʼt sure about Doctor Zhangʼs character, I would really suspect that you had a brain transplant!”

”Brain transplants only need a few hours to recover fully, with such medical skill, do you think Doctor Zhang would stay in the school infirmary?” Luo Ye joked rarely.

”That makes sense...” Shangguan Yingnuo pouted and nodded her little head: ”The reason for your sudden change in personality, itʼs more appropriate to explain it as a rabbit driven to desperation!”

”Everyone quiet down, Teacher Yang had to attend a meeting suddenly and didnʼt have time to arrange for another teacher, so this period will be a Chinese self-study session!” The announcement from the class president and Chinese class representative Wang Feng allowed Luo Yeshu to breathe a sigh of relief, she could have another class period to organize her thoughts!

...

”Yeʼer, Iʼm here! Yeʼer...” Just getting off the number five tram, a familiar call from her memory came over, and Luo Ye quickly looked up, worried that tears would uncontrollably slide down.

”What are you looking at, Yeʼer?” Luo Feng looked up curiously at the sky, the blue sky, white clouds, and the sunʼs warming rays were a bit dazzling, everything seemed very normal!

”Brother, have you been waiting long?” Luo Yeʼs voice was thick with nasal sounds, no matter how strong her self-control, facing the family she longed for day and night, how could she truly remain so composed?

Luo Feng affectionately wrapped his arm around his sisterʼs: ”Not too long, I was done with classes by four today, so I sat in the school library for a bit before coming to pick you up!”

”Brother, youʼre so good to me!” Luo Yeʼs nasal voice became heavier, although her brother was timid, he always doted on her, always giving her the best food and toys first, truly a brotherly figure.

”Iʼm your brother, if I donʼt treat you well, who will I treat well?” Luo Feng didnʼt notice anything abnormal about Luo Ye; his sister often cried for no reason, and he was used to it!

Asymmetrical short hair, thick black eyebrows, big eyes filled with laughter, a high-bridged nose, and well-defined lips – Luo Ye finally had the courage to take a closer look at Luo Feng, the 18-year-old brother who was a bit rustic but handsome and elegant. If one didnʼt know him, they might think he was a masculine man!

She must transform her brother into a real man, she must!

”Yeʼer, youʼre acting weird today, donʼt recognize your brother anymore?” Luo Feng blushed a little under Luo Yeʼs gaze, his shy and timid sister staring at him so intently, it was really the first time!

Luo Ye forced a smile: ”Yeah, I donʼt recognize you anymore!”

”Yeʼer, were you bullied at school again? Why does your smile seem so forced?” Luo Feng sighed lightly: ”Yeʼer, just endure a little longer, once youʼre in university itʼll be better. Later, you can also apply to Hai University, and when we siblings are together, nobody will dare to bully us!”

Luo Yeʼs voice was faint: ”Brother, I have a year and a half more before university, why donʼt you think about taking revenge for me, making others not dare to bully me?”

”Revenge?” Luo Feng was stunned for a moment, an expression of disbelief on his face: ”But, I canʼt be by Yeʼerʼs side all the time, what if I beat someone up and they become even harsher with you later?”

”Brother, influenced by dad and mom, Iʼve always felt that if I endure and yield, others would restrain themselves a bit, but is that really the case? Brother, starting from tomorrow morning, train your body with me, change starts with a strong physique...”

Listening to Luo Yeʼs cold voice, Luo Feng felt particularly uncomfortable and stopped her anxiously with his face full of worry: ”Yeʼer, when others bully you, I feel really bad and want to stand up for you!

But donʼt forget, dad has told us more than once, heʼs an official with no strong backing, and only got where he is by luck. Weʼre not allowed to cause trouble, if we donʼt listen, dad will flay us alive!”

”Really? Then peel it!” Luo Ye was infuriated, blaming such teachings from Dad for making her brother so foolish! In that moment, she even forgot she had returned to being 16 and hadnʼt seen her father yet!

”Yeʼer, how come youʼve become someone your brother doesnʼt recognize? Could it be that a single faint has changed you this much?” Luo Feng reached out to touch Luo Yeʼs forehead to check: ”No fever, though!”

”Donʼt worry, besides not having a fever, Iʼm not crazy either!” Luo Ye found that, upon seeing Luo Feng, she seemed to have found an outlet to vent her frustrations—maybe itʼs because she cares so deeply that sheʼs so critical!

”Yeʼer, you really have changed!” Deep concern filled Luo Fengʼs eyes.

”Brother, you might as well say Iʼve grown up. Letʼs move, donʼt keep Mom waiting!” Luo Ye quickened her pace.

...

Entering the familiar City Committee Family Courtyard, Luo Ye clenched her fists tightly. After their fatherʼs mishap, they were driven out of here, and their mother committed suicide in a rental on the day Dad left.

”Yeʼer, whatʼs wrong with you?” Feeling his sister suddenly tensing up, Luo Feng gently grabbed her hand: ”Are you feeling unwell? Why are your palms sweating so much?”

”Itʼs nothing, brother. Letʼs go home!” After speaking, Luo Ye pursed her lips tightly, clearly not wanting to elaborate.

As soon as the siblings opened the door, a tender voice came through: ”Fengʼer, Yeʼer, are you back? Dinner will be ready soon, your dad will be back in half an hour, go wash your hands first!” Wen Xin didnʼt like having strangers in the house, so the Luo Family never hired a maid and all the housework was done by Wen Xin herself.

”Got it, Mom!” Luo Feng quickly replied.

Luo Ye moved step by step to the kitchen door, peering through the glass at Wen Xin bustling about. With a height of 165 cm, a curvy figure, long hair loosely pinned up, fair skin, and eyes like paintings, Wen Xin at forty, if her age wasnʼt mentioned, everyone would take her for no more than thirty-two or thirty-three.

Feeling her daughterʼs gaze, Wen Xin smiled gently: ”Yeʼer, why are you staring at Mom like that? Go change your clothes quickly, or your dad will frown at you when he gets back!”

Luo Ye quickly turned and went back to her room. She feared that if she stayed for one more minute, she wouldnʼt be able to hold back her tears. Whether it was a dream or not, she had seen her brother, her mother, and she would be content to see her father again!

Oh no, she also wanted to see Grandpa in the countryside, who loved the land and the feeling of his feet pressing against the soft earth. Every time he came to Luo Yeʼs house, he couldnʼt stand to stay for more than a month, such a quirky old man!

Changing into her casual wear from the wardrobe, Luo Ye anxiously turned to the mirror next to the cabinet. Indeed, dressed in a light blue home outfit, she now looked like a bean sprout, her small chest almost unnoticeable.

Luo Yeʼs growth started this summer when she was 16. By next summer, her small chest would upgrade straight to big buns, and her menstruation would come when she was 17, perhaps thatʼs also why her development was late.

Looking at her messy hair, which almost covered her entire face, Luo Ye frowned, a stern look flashing across her eyes. She gently gathered her bangs, and suddenly froze. There was a red mark at the center of her forehead... a red dot appeared on her forehead, like a cinnabar mole, adding a soft charm to her delicate face!

Rubbing gently at this new mark, she tried to erase it with force, but the color only became brighter. Luo Yeʼs heart suddenly became frantic—this was where she was shot!

No matter what, she couldnʼt wait any longer to confirm, even if she wouldnʼt get to see Dad or Grandpa, sheʼd accept it, she couldnʼt wait to verify again!

Closing her eyes, Luo Ye took a deep breath and bit down hard on her wrist. The severe pain lasted a long time, and she still showed no signs of awakening.

The clear bite mark on her wrist, oozing with blood, was real blood! This proved that she did have a second chance at life, or perhaps some fortunate coincidence granted her this opportunity, leaving behind a mark from her past!

Suddenly, she remembered that there should be an electronic calendar by her bed. She quickly scrambled for it, and it clearly displayed the date: May 12, 1999. The day she attacked her enemy was May 12, 2010!

She had truly returned to the same day eleven years back. Could this be seen as a gift from heaven? Tears welled up between Luo Yeʼs fingers, finally proving heavenʼs fairness!
