Rebirth in the 90s: Her Counterattack and Redemption

Chapter 11: Chapter 11 Taking Action

”Luoluo, wait for me after school when Iʼve finished my duty, and weʼll leave together.” Shangguan Yingnuo was a bit worried seeing Zhong Chongmei and Pan Fang whispering among others.

”Okay!” Luo Ye clenched her fists secretly. Really looking for trouble? She could actually test out the results of her training; she was now able to run for an hour without getting as tired as a dead dog.

”Ouch...” Seeing Teacher Yang from a distance, Zhong Chongmei quickly ran back and squatted on the ground, her head hitting the desk leg with a ”bang.”

Ying Nuo reflexively covered the back of her head, gritting her teeth. Zhong Chongmeiʼs deskmate Tang Luo gave Luo Ye and Ying Nuo a sly wink, feigning innocence while looking at Zhong Chongmei: ”How could you be so careless. Let me pull you up.” Seeing the chair obviously moved to her side, she wondered internally if her strength had increased.

”Tang Luo, I didnʼt provoke you, why did you do this to me?” Zhong Chongmei cried, tears swirling in her eyes.

Tang Luoʼs innocent, pretty, little girl face: ”I didnʼt mean to harm you. I was just straightening the chair, and you sat without looking. I couldnʼt even stop you in time!”

Seeing Teacher Yang entering the classroom, Zhong Chongmei quickly got up and sat properly, glaring at Tang Luo, who squeezed out a flattering smile in guilt: ”Just kidding, didnʼt expect it to be too much.”

”Hmph, who believes you!” Zhong Chongmei rolled her eyes.

Tang Luo leaned back indifferently: ”Thatʼs right, I just canʼt stand you bullying Luo Ye often, and when you canʼt gain an advantage, you go to those villains to scheme. Donʼt tell me you were just chatting with Pan Fang.”

”Whatʼs it to you? A dog trying to catch mice!” Zhong Chongmeiʼs voice suddenly rose, drawing glances from many classmates.

After handing over some tasks to Wang Feng, Teacher Yang frowned and walked to the podium: ”The mid-term exams for the semester have ended, and I believe everyone has a sense of how they did.

Take these two days off to think it over at home, and discuss with your parents whether you should choose science or humanities for the upcoming advancement exams. From now on, you need to focus on what youʼre learning.

Today school lets out early. The duty students should stay and clean up. Remember to lock the doors and windows. Wang Feng, supervise them, youʼll leave a bit later.”

After Teacher Yang left the classroom, Zhong Chongmei quickly followed out.

Tang Luo, with a mischievous smile, said: ”Busy going out to suck up and explain, Luo Ye, youʼve changed a lot these days, this is how you should treat these people!”

”Thank you, Tangtang!” Luo Ye sincerely thanked her. In her previous life, she had become close to Tang Luo when she was bullied and Tang Luo helped her, but that was probably after the division of science and humanities, which seems to be changing now.

”Actually, I just wanted to dodge her for a moment, so weird...” Tang Luo glanced at her palm curiously, poking Ying Nuo: ”Letʼs try arm wrestling to see if I really got stronger.”

Luo Yeʼs mouth twitched just noticeably: ”Ying Nuo, Iʼll go help you clean. You two take your time competing.”

Ying Nuo, not feeling any embarrassment since cleaning duty was common for Luo Ye, responded and patted Tang Luo: ”Tangtang, who would have thought you were so righteous. Thanks on behalf of Luo Ye, huh?” she suddenly discovered something new: ”You and Luo Ye seem to have a connection, Tang Luo, Luo Ye, right?”

Tang Luo rolled her eyes: ”Just realized that?”

”I didnʼt pay much attention before, you were not very sociable,” Ying Nuo teasingly nudged Tang Luo: ”Tell me, did you start paying attention because you were conquered by my charm?”

Tang Luo feigned disgust, patting her chest for relief: ”Iʼve said it, Luo Ye has changed a lot recently. It only makes sense for others to help if she realizes she needs to fight back. I didnʼt like her when she was weak!”

”Cut it out, I havenʼt seen you liking any classmates in our class!” Ying Nuo scoffed, indeed, it had been three months since Tang Luo transferred and she wasnʼt particularly close with any classmates.

”I am observing. Itʼs crucial to be cautious in making friends, okay? If you werenʼt so righteous, I wouldnʼt bother with you!” Tang Luo wrinkled her nose and extended her wrist: ”Come on, taste how formidable your sister is!”

”Hey? Why havenʼt I gotten any stronger?” After struggling for a while, Tang Luo who had finally pinned Ying Nuo down looked puzzled: ”No, letʼs do it again, I wasnʼt ready!”

Ying Nuo, with a helpless look: ”Do you think youʼre Popeye eating spinach?”

”No, one more time!”

”Again!”

”...”

While the two were heatedly grappling, Luo Ye happened to be cleaning near the spot where Pan Fang and Zhang Jinyan were standing, his broom got stepped on, Luo Ye coldly glanced at Pan Fang: ”Lift your foot!”

”Why should I?” Pan Fang stepped on it with both feet.

”You tell me?” Luo Ye let go of his hold, a slight smile curling his lips: ”Two choices, one, clean this path yourself.

Or two, leave it like this, and on Monday, I will tell Teacher Yang the whole story, and maybe this path will forever belong to you, Pan Fang. Well, that might not be bad!”

”Leaf, did you damage your brain when you fainted last time? I notice youʼve been a bit foggy-headed lately. How about we both clear it for you?” said Pan Fang, winking at Zhang Jinyan inside.

”Ah!...”

Before she could act, Pan Fang found herself magically embraced in Luo Yeʼs arms, a pen jabbing at her throat.

”Ah!...”

With the pen tip at her throat, Pan Fang screamed in fright.

Zhang Jinyan was stupefied by the scene, stood inside motionless staring at Luo Ye. She and Pan Fang werenʼt real thugs, just influenced by Pan Yan occasionally to pick on Luo Ye and make her life difficult. If the old Luo Ye knew how to fight back and play tough, they would have been scared straight long ago.

Luo Ye played this trick too, hoping to quickly silence these two, so they wouldnʼt bother her again. These two had guts barely bigger than mice, while the old her had even smaller guts than that. Sigh!

Hearing the commotion, squad leader Wang Feng, realizing Luo Yeʼs dangerous action, was taken aback and quickly walked over: ”Luo Ye, donʼt be impulsive, donʼt be impulsive, letʼs talk it out!”

Luo Ye smiled faintly: ”Iʼm not being impulsive, but if I didnʼt take this action, these two would have done something similar. Iʼm just defending myself, legally speaking Iʼm protected!”

Shangguan Yingnuo and Tang Luo also gathered around, Yingnuo with surprise in his eyes: ”Luoluo, how did you do that? Thatʼs so cool!”

Tang Luo gave a thumbs up: ”Luo Ye, nicely done!”

Wang Feng, seeing these two mischief-makers, smiled helplessly: ”Donʼt pour oil on the fire, persuade Luo Ye to release Pan Fang, itʼd be trouble if it went in!”

”Luo Ye, letʼs talk this out, let... let me go!” Pan Fangʼs eyes were spinning with tears, thinking about what Wang Feng said, would she lose her life?
