Bear School Astartes

Tishaya’s opening self-introduction was concise and powerful.

She stated her identity while also endorsing her expertise in the field of Chaos Magic Power.

As a former headmistress of a Magic Academy, even those with no understanding of magic, such as the New Continent Expedition Team, could immediately grasp the authority this title represents.

”Welcome, Lady Tishaya.”

As the representative figure of the Expedition Team, the Commander-in-Chief was the first to show a hint of a smile on his dark face and nodded toward Tishaya.

”Oh my!” The little old man from the Dragon-man Race pushed his gold-rimmed round glasses up his nose earnestly, looking at the Female Warlock. ”A seasoned magic scholar who actively came to our world! This is indeed a novelty!”

”It’s mainly because of that terrifying creature brought by the celestial convergence, which has made our connections much closer during this time.”

Tishaya spoke with flawless tact.

Although the people of the New Continent Expedition Team left a good impression on her, Tishaya’s long experience in the mage circle still led her to choose ambiguous descriptions first, reducing their vigilance.

After all, unrestricted travel between their worlds would surely unsettle the natives of this world, wouldn’t it?

”Is that so? Mm-hmm.”

The little old man from the Dou Ding’Er Dragon Race nodded and shook his head while speaking, but since his skin was very loose due to old age, Tishaya couldn’t judge through his facial expressions whether he believed her.

On the contrary, the Sword Master, Little Jack, and other team leaders were nodding frequently, occasionally making low-voiced exclamations that, ironically, attracted notice.

Even though the Sword Master was completely encased in an armor set that seemed very well-made and tight to Tishaya, his emotions were quite easy to read.

”Former headmistress?” The Supply Squad Leader, a beauty with Latin-style brown skin, repeated the title with puzzlement.

She looked at Tishaya with surprise.

”But you look like you’re just over thirty? You’ve already been a headmistress at a Magic Academy and even stepped down?”

”Magic grants me a lifespan far exceeding humans, and my appearance is preserved.”

Tishaya replied with her usual calm demeanor.

Far more old-fashioned and mature than the likes of Margaret, this Female Warlock wasn’t shy about discussing how Warlocks preserve their magical appearances.

Nor did she hide her pursuit of beauty.

Although she usually appeared meticulous, even strict and harsh, and was even called an ’embittered, world-weary old virgin due to a lack of sexual activity’ by some apprentices who disliked her.

Those who came into contact with Tishaya knew she spent extravagantly and consistently on magical potions, creams, and other beauty products.

This prompted the Supply Squad Leader to also utter a low exclamation, astonished at the myriad wonders that magic can achieve.

Yet Tishaya was equally surprised, slightly raising her eyebrows as she looked at the woman.

For despite being a woman, the Supply Squad Leader had words of awe regarding Tishaya’s ’lifespan’ and ’appearance,’ but not envy or longing.

She didn’t understand magic, Tishaya was sure of it.

But precisely because she didn’t understand magic, she was unaware of the price, difficulty, and harshness behind it; she should have expressed desire.

But she... or rather, these people...

Tishaya swept her gaze around.

Everyone’s face held expressions of ’Wow, this thing is impressive,’ yet lacked obsession or desire.

Honestly speaking... it was akin to ’a novel game among children where everyone cheers together.’

Oddly, this seasoned Female Warlock felt a bit of resonance with Belengar’s earlier comment that she didn’t quite understand — ’this is indeed a wonderful place.’

”Magic is indeed amazing, but I still have a question.” The Director of the Plant Research Institute asked with arms crossed, ”Isn’t magic based on Chaos Magic Power? Yet our goal is to isolate and dispel Chaos Magic Power.”

”Won’t it be increasingly dangerous the more we use magic under such circumstances?”

”You don’t need to worry about that.” Tishaya responded comfortably.

Sealing dangerous or widely-impacting Chaos Magic Power was a situation she frequently encountered in her mage career.

Therefore, even though there wasn’t any Chaos Magic Power available in the external environment for use now, only the limited amount stored in her own body, she felt no hesitation.

This was the leisure born from knowledge and experience honed through years.

”Chaos Magic Power can be sealed by Chaos Magic Power, and I currently don’t have much magic power; the main role played here is my experience and knowledge.”

”Sealing is done through an extremely skillful technique using a minimal amount of Chaos Magic Power.”

Tishaya’s experience as a host for many meetings led her to look solemnly in the direction of the Commander-in-Chief, with his black skin and white hair.

The advantages and disadvantages of the plan were already clear at this moment, and all that was necessary was the final decision.

Though the New Continent is vast and the Expedition Team is small, disposing of a corpse in a remote place would be child’s play.

However, Tishaya understood Lann.

If these ’natives’ of the Expedition Team disagree, even if capable, Lann would not release the corpse of the Terror Tyrannosaurus that could cause ecological pollution carelessly into the New Continent.

Rather, he would find another way to handle it himself.

The stern-faced Commander-in-Chief crossed his arms and furrowed his brows, seemingly weighing some decision in his mind.

This was quite normal.

Tishaya thought to herself.

Although the Terror Tyrannosaurus originated from this world, bringing back a corpse twisted with Chaos Magic Power, risking ecological mutation, was a different matter entirely.

But unexpectedly.

After only a few seconds of thought, the Commander-in-Chief with a dignified black face nodded decisively.

”Alright, let’s do it, Lann!”

Tishaya was a little astonished, but the young Demon Hunter remained calm throughout.

”Even though it is not our world, solving ecological threats is something we cannot ignore.”

The Commander said in a deep voice.

”If we keep getting stuck on issues like ’my risk is relatively bigger, his contribution is relatively more,’ then we might as well do nothing else. That’s not the style of the Expedition Team!”

”Besides, the living Terror Tyrannosaurus has been killed by Lann. What we are dealing with is merely a corpse. There’s no reason to retreat.”

”I hereby declare!”

The Commander-in-Chief raised a hand and glanced around.

At the same time, everyone who had been in a relaxed discussion atmosphere became serious.

”Since we now know the reason for the sudden appearance of the Flame King Dragon at the transfer base and it’s already verified unique traits, we will organize a small team to study this Ancient Dragon during its valuable ’trapped period’!”

”Moreover, though the Flame King Dragon is an Ancient Dragon, it does not warrant mobilizing the entire team like the Molten Mountain Dragon.”

”Thus, we will concurrently handle the harmless treatment and research process of the Terror Tyrannosaurus corpse.”

The Commander-in-Chief assigned and directed the tasks methodically; his decades of experience leading the Expedition Team had long made him adept at handling sudden situations.

And no sooner had his voice fallen than an elderly voice spoke up immediately afterward.

”[Fog Nest Master].”

”What?” the Commander asked, a bit puzzled.

It was the head of the Ecological Research Institute who had spoken, now sitting atop a high stack of books; even so, he barely reached the waist height of a normal person.

His frail posture would make one think he might kick the bucket at any moment, especially for those who didn’t know better.

But the Commander knew that this old man had looked like this ever since he arrived on the New Continent decades ago.

The old man from the Douding Dragon Race had already started pulling out a book from beneath him, eagerly scribbling and sketching on it.

These things called books were, in fact, manuscripts he had compiled only after coming to the New Continent. They were yet-to-be-published ’manuscripts’ indeed.

”That particularly unique Terror Tyrannosaurus, which roamed from another realm and gained mysterious magic power—could there be a more unique experience?”

”And this exceptional and powerful nature, born from such a unique experience, even singular within its species, is the most evident trait of a ’Second Name Monster.’”

”Thus, on behalf of the Ecological Research Institute, I name this Terror Tyrannosaurus—[Fog Nest Master].”

”Then let us call this Second Named Terror Tyrannosaurus the [Fog Nest Master],” the Commander agreed naturally.

Subsequently, he turned to Lann, Tishaya, and Belengar, the three guests from another realm.

With a serious face, he smiled.

”And now, to celebrate that there were no casualties at our transfer base, we’ve obtained new ecological habits of the Flame King Dragon, and, moreover...”

The Commander stretched open his arms towards the guests, making a welcoming gesture.

”We also welcome the guests from afar and our specially recruited hunters of the Fifth Period Team!”

Aiden and Little Jack, standing behind the Sword Master, clapped in unison, raising their hands, laughing and cheering.

”Let’s have a party!”*2

”Haha!”

The leader of the Second Period Team suddenly stood up, laughing, and others looked equally excited.

Belengar, next to him, was startled, and Tishaya was amazed at how seamlessly and quickly the atmosphere had shifted from a meeting to a feast.

In her experience, there was at least a few hours of dragging involved.

”I told you, this place is perfect for a vacation!”

Lann grabbed Tishaya’s hand, pulling her down the conference ship’s bow, rushing up along the stairs built by the Expedition Team in the mountain.

Weapon and Mountain Cat Pavilion, if we go late, we’ll have to stand while eating and drinking!

The news of the feast resonated throughout the Star Base; no one was injured from the Ancient Dragon’s abnormal activities, and there were further developments in ecological studies.

Everyone cheered and was delighted for it.
