Bear School Astartes

”Aha!” Speaking about his past creations being tampered with, Belengar immediately got excited. ”You’re saying we can go to the worlds you’ve been to before? Great!”

”Let me see what kind of characters dare to mess with my craftsmanship!”

Without a doubt, Belengar now recognized his identity as a blacksmith far more than his former identity as a Demon Hunter.

Lann and the others could casually joke about Belengar’s failures in his Demon Hunter career, but the moment it involved his smithing skills, they had to choose their words carefully.

’Entering the Celestial Sphere Convergence’ and ’entering a familiar world through the Celestial Sphere Convergence’ are two entirely different levels of danger.

Moreover, in that world, Lann even received assistance with his equipment, indicating their favorable attitude towards him.

This is certainly good news.

So Belengar immediately brushed off his previous unease and started gearing up.

Belengar simply shook off his clothes that were completely drenched and still dripping water.

He realized at that moment that if they wanted to travel to other worlds through the Celestial Sphere Convergence Rift, Black Seagull Island was the only option.

Furthermore, there must be the Goddess who made a pact with Lann to guard the Rift present on the island.

However, the Old Demon Hunter’s attitude towards this was much more relaxed than Tishaya’s.

Firstly, in the research field of divine beings and faith, he did not delve as deeply or as far as Tishaya.

Secondly, in the wandering life of solving troubles as a Demon Hunter, they had indeed encountered numerous so-called ’gods.’

In some little places, like Forest Gods or Earth Gods, these ’gods’ often were local spirits.

Sometimes, upon seeing a Demon Hunter, they would be so frightened they trembled all over.

Of course, there were also Deer-headed Spirits or others of the kind, who could indeed harness the power of the surrounding nature and land.

However, this type could also be negotiated with or contained loopholes to exploit, although most of the time, Demon Hunters would avoid them, but if it really couldn’t be helped, they wouldn’t just stand there awaiting death.

Thus, Belengar’s mindset at that moment remained rather calm.

The Old Demon Hunter slicked back his hair with an M-shaped hairline so that the water dripping down wouldn’t obscure his face.

The three humans, one cat, and the Qilin, guided by Lann’s familiar lead, headed toward the other side edge of Black Seagull Island, towards the Original Da Gun Temple.

It was early morning as the sun began its ascent; sunlight scattered across the surface of Vizima Lake, reflecting glittering golden waves.

Meanwhile, a thin layer of fog that accumulated over the lake overnight added a touch of dreaminess to the light.

As they approached the Original Da Gun Temple, they immediately noticed a sacred light there, different from sunlight.

Visually, the light appeared identical to morning sunlight, yet to their subjective perception, it felt completely different.

This peculiar sense of dissonance momentarily dazed Tishaya and Belengar.

However, the Qilin, Rong Buqiu, and most importantly Lann, all simultaneously blinked upon seeing this light.

The Qilin’s ruby-like eyes, Rong Buqiu, and Lann’s cat-like eyes blinked together.

”This light... seems familiar, meow?”

Rong Buqiu scratched its whiskers with a tiny paw, muttering uncertainly.

They all felt the light bore a resemblance, especially Lann.

The Demon Hunter’s mouth twitched, as an improbable guess surfaced within him... but surely, it couldn’t be as implausible as that?

Continuing onward, everyone stepped onto submerged marble slabs beneath the water’s surface, their ankles immersed amidst drifting lotus leaves and flowers.

The Lady of the Lake emerged from the radiance.

The lake water defied physics by surging upwards, ultimately forming a throne of waves, upon which the Lady of the Lake gracefully sat.

Previously only known through legends and snippets from Lann, a genuine Divine Being appeared for the first time in front of Tishaya and Belengar.

Though not entirely tense, they respectfully lowered their heads.

A deity safeguarding a permanent Celestial Sphere Convergence Rift was unquestionably a benevolent god for this world.

The Lady of the Lake maintained a gentle and all-encompassing divine smile, seated on her throne of waves.

Her image was undoubtedly splendid, but Lann had wholly grown accustomed to it, or rather, wasn’t easily influenced by her ’little theatrics.’

He knew well that this goddess was actually very approachable.

”So, you wouldn’t have quarreled with Lady Galadriel, would you, My Lady?”

The young Demon Hunter tilted his head, propping a finger under his chin as he calmly asked the Lady of the Lake.

”This light’s power is very distinctive. It exudes the sacred feel only Ardan Elves possess.”

Upon these words, the continuously rippling wave throne momentarily halted.

After Lann recently returned from Ardan, he had informed the Lady of the Lake of Lady Galadriel’s definite situation.

She then stated her intent to personally visit this old friend from ages past.

”It’s not a quarrel!” The Lady of the Lake sternly corrected Lann’s wording as if discussing a crucial issue.

”We reminisced about our carefree days of the past and tried our best to determine who played the leading role in this friendship, that’s all. Hmm!”

After speaking, as if to add credibility, the Lady of the Lake twisted a strand of her deep green long hair around her fingers and nodded vigorously.

”So, did you come to a conclusion?”

Lann tilted his head and asked. The Lady of the Lake just sighed.

”No way, Lady Galadriel is still like that; she looks gentle, but her character is incredibly strong. She refuses to admit that it was actually me who led her to play when we were young.”

”Oh.” The young Demon Hunter nodded, then seemingly concerned, pointed to the lady’s hand, ”Your hand, my lady. The holy light is spilling out.”

”Don’t mind these small matters!” The Lady of the Lake naturally buried her glowing hand into her deep green long hair.

It looked like she was tidying her hair, but in fact, when she took her hand out, the holy light on it had disappeared.

”Tell me, it’s not yet time for the Chaos Magic Power tide, yet you’ve come early and brought two friends. Has something happened?”

The tactic of changing the subject was very obvious, yet very practical too.

Immediately, Lann began to talk about the Terror Tyrannosaurus in the Ponta River Valley.

”Ah, Celestial Sphere Convergence... That’s why we guard this place, right?”

The Lady of the Lake, after hearing it, only pondered with some emotion.

After all, small-scale Celestial Sphere Convergences happen often; it’s just that this time it brought such an invasive and far-reaching creature as the Terror Tyrannosaurus.

”I see.” The Lady of the Lake nodded to Lann and his companions, Tishaya and others, from her throne of waves.

At the same time, a drop of crystal-clear lake water slipped from the Lady of the Lake’s palm onto Lann’s raised hand.

”When you’ve found the right place, crush this drop of water, and I’ll transport the Terror Tyrannosaurus corpse over.”

In fact, when she heard Lann buried the Conical Crystal in the Terror Tyrannosaurus’ corpse, she already understood Lann’s plan.

So nothing more needed to be said.

After handing over the water drop, which served as cross-world location and notification, to Lann, the Lady of the Lake waved her hand gently without looking back.

Soon, the Roaring Bear Head Pendant on the demon hunter’s neck started swaying, and the Celestial Sphere Convergence Rift rose from the lake waters outside the Da Gun Temple.

The rift floated over like a shattered mirror.

Tishaya looked at the rift with a researcher’s curiosity, while Belengar was not too concerned about it and merely tightened his large bundle containing Smaug Dragon Scale and dragon skin.

Lann stepped forward, standing on the ’splashing’ lake water in front of the Celestial Sphere Convergence Rift.

He took out the Elf Beacon from his alchemy pouch at his waist and waved it in midair like broken glass.

Immediately, the scenery on the other side rapidly changed under recorded world coordinates.

Qilin and Rong Buqiu were a little excited, their bodies twisting unconsciously with excitement.

Lann, holding the slightly glowing Elf Beacon, stepped aside from the Celestial Sphere Convergence Rift, giving way to the main passage.

At the same time, he tilted his head toward the inside, signaling the others to enter.

First to proceed were Qilin and Rong Buqiu, akin to returning home, followed by Belengar, soaking wet and embarrassed but with a confident expression.

Tishaya was observing the interaction between the Elf Beacon and Celestial Sphere Convergence Rift, watching the glowing stone in Lann’s hand as she went inside.

The Demon Hunter nodded to the Lady of the Lake, then himself holding the Elf Beacon stepped inside as well.

-----------------

A wave of dizziness came over; the feeling of passing through the Celestial Sphere Convergence was stronger than a portal.

Yet Qilin wasn’t so resistant to this feeling.

Ultimately, no matter how godspeed Qilin’s ”Flash of Lightning” was, it couldn’t cross worlds on its own; the dizziness of crossing Celestial Sphere Convergence Rift was a necessary discomfort for it.

Within one world, however, Qilin was confident in its speed, and the dizziness from a portal was just unnecessary discomfort.

One cannot generalize.

In one moment, it was the pleasant and humid air of Vizima Lake at dawn, carrying the faint fragrance of lotus and lotus leaves.

But in the next moment, after everyone emerged...

”Hiss~”

Belengar’s lips twitched as he unconsciously raised his hand, forming a shade over his eyes.

”What a hot sun! Is this... a desert or a wasteland?”

The feel under their feet transformed from ankle-deep water waves to soft and dry sand.

A strong heat wave assaulted them from the surrounding air, interrupting their bodies just emerged from a cool lake.

”Ah! Is this the Great Ant Mound Wasteland meow?”

Rong Buqiu, coming in first, flapped its little triangle ears on its head, looking around.
