715: Chapter 128: Calamity (Part 1) 715: Chapter 128: Calamity (Part 1) The Greedy Wolf Star transforms its aura into peach blossoms, governing both disaster and fortune. “Greedy Wolf Star…”

Slowly opening his eyes, Zhuifeng felt an indescribable sensation.

It was as if he had traversed endlessly through time, much like the stars in the sky, watching the world change through ages.

As his consciousness gradually revived, this mystical feeling ebbed away like a receding tide, leaving only a sense of desolation in his heart, as if he had forgotten everything.

Standing up again using Inuyasha’s body, Zhuifeng felt a strange sensation, as if he could depart from this body at any moment and return to his original body.

What he traversed was not just two different bodies, but a distance between… worlds.

It was guided by those stars that exist in any world… the First Star of the Big Dipper, a star that never gets lost, which would ultimately guide him.

Zhuifeng felt that he seemed different, but he couldn’t exactly explain how.

It was as if he grew up significantly in an instant, and the sensations from everything seemed different, even feeling that his former self was childish.

But he still felt like the same leader of the Wind-Chasing Juvenile Group, who liked standing on the rooftop of a skyscraper, arms outstretched, gazing at the city, dreaming of flying freely.

Zhuifeng the Great… “I feel like I can get out of here.” Zhuifeng furrowed his brows.

So he waved his hand, and Inuyasha’s fingers shot out sharp nails that sliced lightly through the air.

It was like tearing through a thin layer of gauze, and a small crack appeared in front of Zhuifeng.

He extended both hands again and used all his strength to pull the crack open.

Though it was arduous, he finally managed to pull open a gap large enough for him to slip through. … …

The servant girl fed rice soup to Nagato Tsuruko, yet the milky white soup slid down her rosy cheeks.

Obviously, Nagato wasn’t swallowing it, allowing the soup to spill from her lips instead.

The temporary caretaker showed little interest, and seeing this, didn’t intend to wipe Nagato Tsuruko clean, just continued feeding her intermittently with a spoon.

The festival was Zaodao Village’s annual grand event, one of the few days in this dull village that allowed people to feel the bustle and beauty of life.

The servant girl was evidently quite displeased at being arranged to stay behind at this moment.

After all, with Nagato Tsuruko still in a coma and no one at home, she might as well sneak over to the new residence.

It was said that the kitchen had prepared plenty of delicious pastries for Miss Tsukihime of the Kondo Family, so why not take advantage of the moment when no one was around…

Thinking about it stirred the servant girl’s heart, and she quietly opened the door and left…

After all, it wouldn’t take much time to make a round trip, and Nagato Tsuruko would probably still be sleeping soundly.

Cicada’s call.

In the bedroom, Nagato Tsuruko suddenly opened her eyes, and her hazy eyes began inspecting her surroundings.

She found herself in her room, which she heard was once her mother Narukami Haru’s room.

Ah Xiu said everything here had remained unchanged, even the quilt in use now was the one Narukami Haru used before.

Nagato Tsuruko sat up, tilted her head, and touched her face, finding something sticky.

There was also a half-finished bowl of rice soup beside her, which Nagato Tsuruko looked at for a moment before picking it up, holding it with both hands, and sipping it herself.

She thought of Ah Xiu, the person who was good to her, who read books to her.

She seemed to remember a strange older brother saying that she could actually consider Ah Xiu as family.

Family or servant…

Nagato Tsuruko realized that whether family or servant, she just wanted Ah Xiu.

Still in the woodshed?

Nagato Tsuruko pondered for a moment, then got up, pulling out a book from under a cabinet.

She had hidden it all along, and no one at home had discovered it.

Holding it in both hands, Nagato Tsuruko walked alone along the corridor outside, as silent as if it were dusk.

Just as she was about to leave the old residence, she saw Nagato Shinji.

Nagato Tsuruko intended to greet him but noticed multiple people following behind Nagato Shinji, and among them was Ah Xiu.

Nagato Tsuruko wanted to call out but suddenly noticed a strange expression on Ah Xiu’s face, one she had never seen before.

The women behind Brother Shinji were all wearing similar expressions.

It seemed they were heading to…

Uncle Munachika’s courtyard?

Nagato Tsuruko blinked, still holding the book in her hands, and quietly followed behind the group. … …

The wait for the witch’s appearance was lengthy, at least for Mo Xiaofei and Zi Xing, it felt that way.

Almost all villagers in Zaodao Village were waiting here, their faces full of devotion.

The altar, built with the village’s combined efforts, still appeared quite rough to Zi Xing, but she secretly nodded at the current scene’s atmosphere.

Because she saw devotion.

As the land’s owners, the Nagato Clan naturally did not kneel devoutly like ordinary villagers in the temporarily cleared plaza-like area.

The Nagato Clan, from Nagato Munachika to the clan’s servants, all waited quietly under a nearby canopy.

The noon sun was blisteringly hot, and even so, many servants of the Nagato Clan had sweat on their faces, not to mention the villagers in the direct sun.

With Zi Xing’s current status, she could naturally sit quietly under this canopy for shade, while Mo Xiaofei was hiding away, secretly observing everything around. “Lord Nagato, why hasn’t the festival’s witch appeared yet?” Zi Xing, looking through her veil, asked Nagato Munachika, seated beside her.

Nagato Munachika’s complexion looked somewhat peculiar at the moment…

In Zi Xing’s observation, Nagato Munachika’s monster’s aura seemed denser than at night… but still quite faint.

Were it not for Zi Xing possessing the bloodline of an ancient monster, it would have been hard to detect. “Lady Miko needs to cleanse herself, which requires some time,” Nagato Munachika smiled slightly, talking to Zi Xing about some festival-related topics.

Nagato Munachika seemed to still have intentions of promoting his son, Nagato Shinji.

Zi Xing casually chatted while avoiding the heavier topics but suddenly thought of Nagato Tsuruko, so she casually asked, “I heard that little girl I saw at your home the other day has fallen ill in recent days, is that so?”

Nagato Munachika nodded and sighed: “Indeed, for some unknown reason, she’s been comatose for the past few days, but there’s nothing wrong with her body.

We can’t find a solution, so we can only have the servants take good care of her.

Truly appreciate Miss Tsukihime’s concern.”

At this moment, someone suddenly shouted that Lady Miko was coming.

Zi Xing followed the voice to look, seeing a woman in white clothes and a red skirt, around fifty or sixty, slowly walking accompanied by two young women.

The villagers on the square quickly made way, opening a path directly to the altar.

At this moment, Zi Xing quietly looked towards the location where Mo Xiaofei was hiding and met his gaze, only to see Mo Xiaofei slightly shake his head.

Zi Xing quickly understood what Mo Xiaofei meant by this gesture—he had never seen this Mrs.

Witch in Zaodao Village before.

Mo Xiaofei had said before that he had searched the shrine halfway up the mountain but found nothing, as if the place had been abandoned for a long time. “Did this Lady Miko come down from the mountain today?” Zi Xing couldn’t help but curiously ask.

Nagato Munachika said, “Lady Miko went out some time ago and only rushed back last night because she couldn’t miss the once-a-year festival.

To be honest, before yesterday, I was worried that Lady Miko wouldn’t make it back.”

Zi Xing nodded and asked no more questions.

The Early Rice Shrine Maiden walked solemnly to the altar and ascended the steps of the altar.

Shortly after, a woman respectfully handed her the Divine Coin.

The white Divine Coin began to sway in Mrs.

Witch’s hand, and a blazing fire appeared in front of the altar.

Mrs.

Witch chanted something that was too far away for anyone to hear clearly.

It seemed like a very ordinary ritual, and Zi Xing did not see anything special.

Her gaze could not help but turn to the cracked Fox Demon Statue—this was a descendant of a fox that had drifted from China to Yan Wuyue World.

Yu Sanniang… that was the name of this fox.

Bang—!

Just as Zi Xing was pondering deeply, Mrs.

Witch on the altar threw something into the brazier, causing the flames to suddenly surge and shoot skyward.

It’s just a simple trick…

Zi Xing shook her head inwardly, watching the villagers’ stunned reactions, feeling only their ignorance.

The people of the Nagato Family were also full of admiration, yet Nagato Munachika seemed calm… as if the ritual would proceed smoothly.

Zi Xing felt that she might only be able to find an opportunity to ask Mrs.

Witch about divination after the ritual ended and Mrs.

Witch came down… she didn’t think Nagato Munachika would refuse her request to meet the Early Rice Shrine Maiden.

Unless something unusual occurred…

But suddenly, the Early Rice Shrine Maiden stepped back, nearly losing her balance, almost falling off the platform.

Everyone was alerted by her actions. “Monster!” the Early Rice Shrine Maiden suddenly shouted in alarm and anger, then furiously yelled again, “Monster!

How dare you disrupt our sacred ceremony!”

Monster?

Everyone stood up in unison, gazing up at the altar.

The Early Rice Shrine Maiden now held the Divine Coin in both hands, appearing extremely tense.

The white paper on the Divine Coin even fluttered slightly, activated by her Spiritual Power.

On the altar, at some unknown point, the figure of a young boy appeared—dressed in a fiery red robe, with long white hair, strange ears, and a tail behind!

It was indeed a monster! “It’s Inuyasha!” A samurai beside Zi Xing exclaimed in horror, quickly drawing the katana to protect Zi Xing, “Miss Tsukihime!

This is Inuyasha!

I’ve seen pictures of Inuyasha!

Recently, many people in our region want to capture this evil Demi-Demon!

I didn’t expect him to come to Zaodao Village!”

Inuyasha…

Zi Xing frowned; she had heard the name of this Demi-Demon since she woke up in this world.

But why was he appearing now… and why so suddenly?

By what means did he come?

Watching the Demi-Demon boy looking down from the altar, frowning silently, Zi Xing suddenly felt an inexplicable sense of unease.

Before she could figure out this strange feeling, she heard the Early Rice Shrine Maiden scream in anger, tighten her grip on the Divine Coin, and swing it fiercely at the Demi-Demon boy! …

Zhuifeng felt a bit annoyed… how did he end up in such a place?

Just as he emerged, a vast expanse of red appeared before him, followed by a scorching heat that almost singed his tail.

Before coming out, Zhuifeng didn’t know where he would arrive.

He just felt a strange pull… something was attracting him.

Following his intuition, he traversed the torn space-time passage and descended into this place—only to open his eyes and feel utterly displaced.

Below the platform, many people’s eyes were on him, and in front of him, an old woman was fully on guard… yet this attire was exactly like that dead woman at the shrine?

Indeed, she was a Mrs.

Witch… suddenly recalling that dead woman’s terror, Zhuifeng instinctively swung his hand, punching out.

Unexpectedly, the old Mrs.

Witch’s body flew back like a kite, struck down by his punch, and fell into the crowd below!

In a moment, the people below screamed, and the scene turned chaotic! “Sorry, I didn’t mean to…”

The words ‘intentionally’ hadn’t even left his mouth when a samurai on the wooden staircase below the platform, with katana in hand, charged rapidly! “Kondo Family Samurai, here to seek revenge!

Demi-Demon Inuyasha, prepare to die!”

Seeing the samurai’s vicious strike coming towards him, Zhuifeng’s eyes flashed with a cold light.

Greedy Wolf Star… also had a side that was killing-oriented.

With a wave of his paw, a scarlet claw mark shot out, the samurai couldn’t guard against it in time, and those terrifying claw markings slashed across his body, rolling him down the stairs, his life and death unknown!

Not only Mrs.

Witch but even the powerful samurai were struck down by this monster, their fate uncertain!

The villagers of Zaodao Village were already terrified, fleeing the square in panic!

The Kondo Family brought two samurai and over ten ashigaru this time, and except for the knocked-down samurai, the rest guarded Zi Xing with tense expressions!

The Nagato family’s people were also frightened, their bodies trembling, crowding into a corner of the shed.

Only Nagato Munachika sat calmly on a stool.

In this situation, Mo Xiaofei couldn’t possibly combine with Zi Xing and could only hide temporarily and observe the changes.

He even quietly approached the Early Rice Shrine Maiden to check her injuries… this shrine maiden might be the key to departure and absolutely could not die so easily!

Suddenly, Nagato Munachika stood up, waved his hand, and shouted, “Sword, come!”

But the servant holding the katana for him was already trembling with fear, slumped on the ground.

Nagato Munachika’s eyes flashed coldly, kicked the katana up with his foot, drew the blade from the air, and swung it, cutting off the servant’s head. “Useless!”

Blood spurted, and Nagato Munachika, holding the katana, approached the Demi-Demon on the platform step by step.

Zhuifeng frowned, looking at the man walking towards him… he seemed older, but his body was exceptionally strong, making Zhuifeng feel a hint of danger.

This guy, why did he feel like a monster too…

Zhuifeng vaguely saw, behind this man, a rich green demonic power!
