650: Chapter 63: Transcendent 650: Chapter 63: Transcendent It’s been about a day since the target suddenly disappeared, and no trace can be found.

The one called the young man is now in a luxurious hotel suite, where the opened curtains allow him to see about a quarter of the city.

The subordinates sent out have not returned yet—they will only come back if there is news.

The day he encountered that strange white-haired human woman, after a fierce battle, he had the slight upper hand by using the Yin Greedy Wolf Force…

Of course, if the ten or so subordinates hadn’t blocked the opponent at the cost of their lives, the outcome might have been different.

“It’s not the Taoist magic art from China…

Which side could it be?”

“More than that, I’m more interested in something in this city.”

A different voice from the young man’s echoed in the room—the Yin Greedy Wolf, attached to the young man like a shadow, now emerging from the darkness behind him.

Like a half-human half-wolf being, yet only its scarlet eyes were visible—the shadowy figure of this werewolf was far larger than the young man.

The young man frowned: “Are you talking about the Godly Land true dragon?”

“No, our tribe has no feud with the true dragon.

I mean…

the Greedy Wolf Star,” said the werewolf shadow calmly, “Haven’t you sensed it yet?

That tremor from within your bloodline?

Although it’s faint, I’m certain the real Greedy Wolf Star of the Greedy Wolf Tribe is nearby.”

The young man’s gaze grew complex, murmuring: “The real…

Greedy Wolf Star.”

The Yin Greedy Wolf suddenly laughed eerily: “Afraid?

Yin Greedy Wolf is born from Greedy Wolf…

If the current Greedy Wolf Star chooses to devour the Yin Greedy Wolf…

Heh heh heh.”

“Yin Greedy Wolf, you’re talking too much,” the young man said calmly.

“Since this is my destiny, I will accept it calmly.

As long as the Greedy Wolf Star can return to our tribe, even if it means letting me…”

At this moment, the door of the hotel suite suddenly opened, and a man with odd clothing and bushy eyebrows quickly walked in—before this, the Yin Greedy Wolf attached to the young man had already retracted.

“Young man, we’ve tracked down the white-haired woman’s whereabouts!”

“Depart.” The young man’s purple pupils flashed with a sharp glint, and with a flick of his sleeve, he took the lead out of the hotel suite…

The tribe’s secret treasure must be reclaimed!

…

It seems that the time bought for protection was just for Nero to roam leisurely around the city.

She didn’t do anything particularly astonishing.

She seemed just like an ordinary woman living in the city, engaging in familiar pastimes to pass the time.

After leaving the arcade, Nero spent two hours strolling through a mall—looking but not buying.

Luo Qiu curiously asked why she didn’t buy anything.

She simply replied: Because she couldn’t carry it away.

Then she pointed to her forehead with her finger, smiled, and said: But here, I can carry it away.

There’s less than three minutes left now, and the two of them arrived at Riverside Park built by the river—at this time, Nero had just bought two ice creams from the ice cream house inside the park.

Nero was surveying the two ice creams, apparently finding it difficult to choose.

“I’m fine not eating,” said Boss Luo calmly.

Nero extended the hand holding the smaller one with a serious expression, saying, “Boss, this one is smaller, yours.”

Instead of licking slowly with her tongue, Nero simply brought the ice cream ball to her lips, seemingly consuming it quickly by a sucking method.

But these cold treats and hot food are inherently different.

“Wow…

It’s cold!” Nero tapped her forehead, “Boss, don’t you like this flavor?

Why did you only eat a little bit?

If you don’t hurry, it will all melt away.”

Luo Qiu said at this moment: “Ms.

Nero…

Time’s up.”

“Walk with me a little longer.” Nero walked ahead, “No need for protection, just finish this place; it shouldn’t waste much of your time, boss, right?

After all, I’m an old customer, surely this little bonus isn’t too much to ask for?”

“Of course not.” Luo Qiu smiled and followed.

The two walked leisurely along the riverside green path, and Nero suddenly asked, “Boss, when did you become the boss…

hmm, don’t tell me, let me guess!

Before coming out, I got some intelligence from the Maple Club, there are rumors saying your shop existed even before some of the undead old folks in the club…

so, five hundred years ago?”

Luo Qiu shook his head.

“Six hundred years?”

The boss still shook his head.

“Could it be…

Over a thousand years ago?” Nero eyed Luo Qiu strangely, “So you really are the real undead old one?”

Nero’s question involved some secrets of the shop, and revealing it might disclose matters of the two different bosses—something Luo Qiu didn’t intend to reveal—at least not before Nero is willing to purchase this knowledge.

“Forget it, it’s impossible to guess anyway.”

Nero shook her head, then turned to look at the flowing river water, “Boss, after acquiring transcendent powers, has your view of the world changed?

I don’t doubt the abilities sold by your shop; as long as a customer can afford the price, anything can be achieved—in other words, boss, you can do anything…

at least that’s how I see it.”

She stepped onto the stone pillar on the riverside railing, as if to widen her view, “What does someone like you…

feel?”

“Why ask this?” Luo Qiu asked curiously.

“Just curious,” Nero said calmly, “I have transcendent power too, and originally thought this world was just like this.

Since acquiring the Yama Sword, everything became dull…

for me, this dull world, I wonder how unbearable it is for someone like you, boss.”

“Is that why you prefer to play pranks?” Luo Qiu replied with a question.

“Besides that, there are other reasons…

Do you know why?” Nero suddenly turned around.

Standing on the stone pillar, she slightly bent over to look down, her hands behind her back, “If you want to know, I can tell you, but what will you pay to buy my answer?”

Luo Qiu said softly: “Isn’t Ms.

Nero opposed to merchants?”

“That’s exactly why we need to haggle,” Nero squinted her eyes.

The familiar wielder of the Yama Sword returned in an instant, no longer the ordinary girl in the city, but her with transcendent powers.

Nero extended her hand, and the Yama Sword merging with her body now emerged slowly from her palm.

She rolled her shoulders, then stretched lazily, “Hmm…

I’ve rested enough and eaten my fill, so I’m ready for a big fight, boss.

Want to watch?”

Luo Qiu looked in a certain direction…

this direction, in the words of the demons, several strong monster’s auras were rapidly approaching.

He looked at Nero and asked, “Need help?”

Nero shrugged and said, “I don’t have anything to pay right now.

Boss, saying that reminds me of a cunning merchant…

just wanting me to sell myself to you?”

“Then I’ll watch, “Luo Qiu nodded slightly.

Nero jumped down from the stone pillar, walked past Boss Luo, and when she was about to walk past, she suddenly stopped.

Luo Qiu showed a puzzled expression.

Nero grinned mischievously, quickly snatching the unfinished ice cream from Boss Luo’s hand and swallowing it whole.

She ate too quickly.

Therefore, once again tapping her forehead, she walked forward, then glanced back and said: “It seems better if I finish it myself; sharing even a little is difficult to part with~”

With a leap, she was already far away.

Luo Qiu casually found a park bench and sat down; there weren’t many people around…

So let’s watch here.

Switching to Nero’s perspective…
