647: Chapter 60: Nothing Left 647: Chapter 60: Nothing Left How much gambling debt does Liu Zixing actually owe?

Regarding this question, even he himself doesn’t dare to think too much about it…

Knowing full well that such casinos are just a trap, yet there are definitely more people than just him who keep falling into it, many of whom are far richer and owe even more than he does.

But now, the massive debt he has signed for is beyond his ability to repay… and all of this is kept hidden from his mother and his wife.

Even inviting this Professor Cui Fo over tonight, he only mentioned to his wife that it was a normal business acquaintance and didn’t disclose the matter of selling this black diamond—no, this black crystal box.

Just as that foreigner said, this ‘black diamond’ bears no semblance whatsoever to a real diamond—there’s no way to provide a reliable proof, so there aren’t any buyers.

If he had agreed right from the start… it would have been forty million.

At this moment, Liu Zixing feels extremely regretful. “Thirty-eight million!

No less!

Thirty-five million… minus another two million!

Thirty million!!

Twenty-eight million!” Liu Zixing finally gritted his teeth, “Twenty million!

Do you want it or not?

If not, I’ll cut it into pieces, and won’t sell it to you!!”

What a fool.

Professor Cui Fo secretly laughed, slowly turned around, and said calmly, “Ten million then, I’m now not as interested as I initially was.” “Only ten million!” Liu Zixing nearly roared, “You’re going too far!!”

He even spoke in his native language, obviously knowing that Professor Cui Fo couldn’t understand a word. “Mr.

Liu, you know I’m the only one interested in this object.” While speaking, Professor Cui Fo took out his checkbook, quickly wrote a number, and tore it off, holding it between his fingers, “If we close the deal, you can immediately verify the authenticity of these funds.”

Liu Zixing bit his lip, the gambler in him fully exposed…

You must take a gamble; how else will you know if you’ll lose or win? “Let me tell you!” Liu Zixing said in a deep voice: “The price is too low for me to sell!

Professor Cui Fo, I’ll be honest with you now, this thing isn’t a diamond at all!

It might just be an ordinary crystal, perhaps not even a crystal, just a cheap trinket!

But… you want it, right?”

Professor Cui Fo’s eyes narrowed slightly. “If you didn’t want it, you wouldn’t come looking for me.” Liu Zixing sneered: “Yes!

I searched for many buyers for this item, indeed no one wanted it… but not including you.

Not including you, meaning, except for you!

So, the leverage is with me!

Now listen to the cards, Professor!

My hand is obviously larger than yours!” “I like your attitude now, Mr.

Liu.” Professor Cui Fo smiled slightly, “So, what do you want to do now?” “Thirty million.” Liu Zixing stated calmly: “Let’s not waste words, I believe you came here to negotiate prices with me.

So, thirty million is the lowest price I can accept.

You want it, take it.

If not, leave!”

Professor Cui Fo said calmly: “Mr.

Liu, aside from me, I’m afraid you couldn’t make even a hundred bucks with this thing, could you?”

Liu Zixing suddenly laughed, “Professor, similarly, other than from me, you can’t find this item elsewhere…

If you want to keep talking to me, it means you’re interested in this item.

Do we really need to continue this bargaining?” “Oh, dear Mr.

Liu.” Professor Cui Fo nodded, “I think you could be a good businessman, but why are you in such difficulty now?

Perhaps you’re just unlucky.”

I just can’t control my gambling urge…

Liu Zixing sighed inwardly. “Alright then, thirty million.” Professor Cui Fo nodded and then wrote a new check.

Though he doesn’t have much opinion on the sum now, to lower the price somewhat is human nature—this isn’t his country.

Other than getting this item from Liu Zixing through money, he has no better, hassle-free, and faster method.

Only after verifying the check’s authenticity, did Liu Zixing finally hand over the ominous ‘black diamond’ to Professor Cui Fo.

Forty million… should be enough to pay off his current debts and cover some funds embezzled from the company.

Liu Zixing personally escorted the professor to the door, only easing up after watching him leave.

He returned to the living room where his mother Madam Liu and his wife were seated, expressionless…

Liu Zixing instinctively sensed something was off.

He asked, “What’s wrong?

Why aren’t you saying anything?”

Then his wife glanced at him, sighed, pulled out a document from an envelope beside the sofa, placed it on the table, pointed, and said, “Liu Zixing, sign this.”

Liu Zixing frowned, picked up the document casually, but upon seeing the first page, his face changed drastically.

He quickly flipped through the document—until the last page, then suddenly shouted, “What is this?

Are you crazy?

You actually want me to sign this?”

It was a document… asking him to resign voluntarily from the company.

Liu Zixing’s wife said calmly, “The terms are already quite good, and the compensation for your resignation should be enough for you to live on for a while.

We hope you sign it, as we really don’t want too much trouble.” “What have you taken today?” Liu Zixing looked at his wife incredulously.

Madam Liu spoke sternly, “She’s not out of her mind; it’s my idea.

Liu Zixing, signing this will be somewhat to your advantage.

If you don’t, don’t blame us.

Do you know what’ll happen once your unauthorized use of the company’s funds is investigated?” “Mom… why, why are you talking like this?” Liu Zixing suddenly felt a chill spread through his hands and feet.

This… this was his mother, the one who doted on him immensely, but now… she seemed like a stranger.

The sense of distance, so much more than estrangement, struck him with an instinctive fear. “I’m not your mom.” Madam Liu snorted coldly: “Nor do I have such a wastrel of a son!

Liu Zixing, if you have any self-awareness, you’ll sign this contract termination and take the compensation money and scram!

If you’re not smart, don’t blame me for using the board of directors’ power to forcibly remove you.” “The board?” Liu Zixing was stunned, unconsciously saying, “Mom, wife.

It’s not April Fool’s today, what are you doing?

Drama with the board?

Isn’t this a joke?

The largest shareholder is me after inheriting Dad’s shares…

Who could force me out as chairman?” “You’re no longer the chairman.” Madam Liu said calmly: “You no longer own any shares in the company.

During the time you’ve taken charge, don’t you know yourself?

You’ve already signed several share transfer documents.” “Impossible!

When did I sign such things?” Liu Zixing shook his head. “Of course, you don’t remember.” Madam Liu said: “How could you remember?

Wasn’t it when you lost gambling, came home drunk, all foggy-headed—do you think you’d have any impression?”

Liu Zixing grew more afraid… indeed, his wife had tricked him into signing things multiple times when he came home at night—could it all be true? “I know you won’t believe it, these are copies of the share transfer documents, take a look yourself.” His wife shook her head, not as cold as Madam Liu, but also laid out a stack of papers.

Liu Zixing’s hands trembled as he took them, looking through one by one.

But he didn’t finish; his palms and forehead were already drenched in cold sweat.

His signature… one by one, roused memories each time he was coaxed into signing. “How dare you do this to me!!!” “Why?

Tell me why?” Madam Liu stood up, face stern: “Think of what you’ve done!

Gambling every day, even at work you’re on online casinos.

How much company money have you used privately?

Have you managed any company affairs yourself?

Had it not been for a few of the company’s veteran employees still working, the company would’ve been gone!

I ask you, what was the company’s financial standing last month, can you say?

How much profit was there?

Can’t say, right?

Let me tell you, there was no profit!

I can’t let everything your father left be squandered away by you!” “I…” Liu Zixing’s face was flushed and ears red from the questioning, “Mom…

Sorry!

I’m truly sorry, I know I was wrong!

Mom, could you forgive me this once… just this once!

I promise I’ll change, I’ll definitely change!

I’m begging you, I’m your son!

You… you can’t do this to me…

Wife, say something too!” “From today, there’s no you in this family.” Madam Liu looked at Liu Zixing as if he were a stranger: “Sign it, considering you still have the surname Liu.

But whether you sign or not, I don’t care!

I don’t even want to see you now…

I’ll give you half an hour to pack up and get out of this house!”

How could this be.

I am clearly your own son.

Don’t you care about a bit of family love?

Yet family love…

The air around felt as if it had turned cold as Liu Zixing collapsed weakly on the spot—family love, he had long spent.

He had no family love left.

Just as he had killed Liu Ang with his own hands, without a trace of remorse afterward…

And now, being expelled from this home, having everything taken, even his mother only looked at him as if he were a stranger.

Such similarity.
