639: Chapter 52: You Must Learn to Fight 639: Chapter 52: You Must Learn to Fight As for some basic abilities as a Black soul envoy, Da Zhe didn’t have much time to practice.

As an ordinary person, he didn’t have the profound understanding of supernatural powers like Tai Yinzi, so after becoming an envoy, he couldn’t seamlessly connect to basic abilities like flight or vaporization.

After leaving the club, No. 18 quickly shuttled through the air over the city and finally stopped on top of a tall building.

Behind him, Da Zhe stopped somewhat unskillfully—in fact, he almost needed to resort to an emergency stop using his previous tear glands.

Bam—!!

Nevertheless, he accidentally created a human-shaped dent on the rooftop’s water tank, and Da Zhe was even stuck on the iron sheet surface of the tank. “No. 18, could you give me a hand?” Da Zhe called out to No. 18, who was standing nearby, looking into the distance.

No. 18 waved a hand, and Da Zhe’s body was released from the water tank.

Without much courtesy, No. 18 said, “What’s wrong with you?

Why didn’t you vaporize?”

Da Zhe scratched his head and said, “If I vaporize, the scarf will fall off.”

No. 18 was taken aback and shook his head, saying, “An envoy has the ability to change clothes to make it easier to approach the master.

It’s very convenient and practical, so you don’t need to wear physical clothing.”

Da Zhe chuckled and said, “Actually, changing clothes doesn’t take much time… well, next time I’ll have better control over flying and won’t hit the water tank.”

Speaking, Da Zhe then floated up crookedly again. “Whatever you like, you’re free to do as you please.” No. 18 said indifferently, continuing to gaze into the distance.

Although he agreed to be Da Zhe’s guide, since becoming a Black soul envoy, No. 18 had never taken on similar work—indeed, among the existing envoys on vacation, he had unexpectedly been enthusiastic about mentoring entry-level guys.

Watching Da Zhe float like a toddler learning to walk, No. 18 couldn’t help but shake his head…

Did the new master really turn an ordinary person into a Black soul envoy?

Though he had many grievances in his heart, under the premise of not being able to betray… he just internally criticized a bit. “As expected, this is still hard to manage…” Da Zhe muttered at this time.

No. 18 was about to say something but suddenly stopped… only to see Da Zhe reaching out to grab the key pendant hanging on his body. “Zhan Lu!”

Da Zhe shouted, after which a glint of sword light shot out, transforming into an ancient Bronze Sword shape!

The manifested Zhan Lu released a strong air current, making No. 18’s black robe flutter.

By now, the Zhan Lu Sword had already automatically arrived under Da Zhe’s feet.

Only to see Da Zhe finding balance immediately, his figure stabilized instantly, soaring like a legendary Sword Immortal in the night sky on the sword with no hesitation!

Da Zhe circled once and then stopped in front of No. 18, stepping on the sword as if on a scooter, “No problem now, I should be able to keep up with no issues.

Where are we going next?” “Is this… the Zhan Lu Sword?” No. 18 asked after a moment of silence. “Ah, the boss said I could use it.” Da Zhe nodded, then smiled sheepishly, “To be honest, flying with the sword is really cool, kind of fulfills a childhood daydream.

By the way, No. 18, where’s your sword?” “I don’t have such a thing.” No. 18 said indifferently, “I operate under a different system of abilities.”

Da Zhe was taken aback, “I thought all envoys had similar equipment…” “Didn’t the master tell you?” “Tell me what?”

No. 18 shook his head, saying indifferently, “Since he didn’t tell you, perhaps there’s another intention.

You should stop asking.

Remember, as envoys, we only need to give absolute loyalty to the master, and as long as it doesn’t violate the club and the boss’s intentions, we have a lot of individual freedom.”

And as the bearer of Zhan Lu… perhaps the freedom is even greater.

No. 18 thought silently.

However, his attitude toward Da Zhe shifted somewhat… at least, he wouldn’t resist him. “Alright, you’re my teacher now, I’ll listen to you.” Da Zhe nodded simply.

No. 18 suddenly said, “Also, I suggest that you try not to use Zhan Lu’s power often and instead practice your own basic abilities more…

Later, I will arrange for some combat training for you.” “Combat training?” Da Zhe frowned, shaking his head, “Frankly, I’m not really into fighting right now.” “That’s not up to you.” No. 18 said sternly, “As the bearer of Zhan Lu, isn’t it a joke if you can’t fight?

And not only do you have to learn to fight, you need to master it.”

Da Zhe frowned and subconsciously asked, “No. 18… do we actually have enemies or something?

Like some hostile forces who don’t like us, or enemies over turf or something?”

No. 18 sneered, “Enemies?

Don’t joke, there’s no such thing in this world… and what we have to face is beyond your imagination, not something like the concept of ‘enemies’.

About these things, when you can fully unleash Zhan Lu’s power, either Ms.

You Ye or the master should tell you.”

Da Zhe jumped off Zhan Lu, holding the sword handle, looking at the ancient Longsword. “Although I don’t like fighting now, the boss’s kindness, I can never repay in this lifetime, if he needs anything…”

The sword hummed clearly, as if responding to Da Zhe, with a flash of light passing over Zhan Lu’s blade, finally reverting to its original key pendant form, which Da Zhe hung back on himself. “I’ll listen to you and practice my own abilities more.”

Only then did No. 18 nod.

Da Zhe, at this point, curiously asked, “No. 18, what do you actually look like?

I only see your face as a cloud of black mist, let me take a peek?”

Da Zhe only heard No. 18’s voice, eerie and hoarse, and was very curious about this temporary teacher and future colleague. “There’s no need for that.” No. 18 said indifferently, “Each Black soul envoy has a different aura, and you can distinguish us by that.

Once you meet more Black soul envoys, you’ll naturally understand this.” “Okay then…” Da Zhe nodded, slightly disappointed.

At this moment, a white card suddenly appeared in front of No. 18. “The master approved it.” No. 18 picked up the white card, and after a while, looked at Da Zhe saying, “Since it’s approved, let’s start working.

Listen, you must learn to fight, but you also have to learn the envoy’s tasks.” “OK!” … …

When Luo Qiu came upstairs from the second basement level, the recently maintained and rebooted You Ye was already sitting quietly in the foyer.

Upon seeing Luo Qiu appear, You Ye quickly stood up, “Master, are you going home?”

You Ye brushed a strand of hair beside her ear and asked, “What should I prepare for your breakfast tomorrow, Master?” “Chinese breakfast.” Luo Qiu thought for a moment and then suddenly asked, “By the way, You Ye, have you ever been to South America before?” “South America?”

The maid shook her head, “In terms of textual knowledge in geography and history, I’ve read some.

But I haven’t actually been there.

In the time since I was created, I’ve been active mainly in Europe, and then in your country… are we going to South America?” “No… not for now.” Luo Qiu shook his head, “Let me think about it.

Hmm…

I need to go home, my phone’s about to explode with calls.” “Safe journey, Master.” “Oh, by the way.” Luo Qiu turned around and softly said, “The new hairstyle suits you.”

She was used to having her long hair loose, but now with the hairpins in place, it had changed to a suitable hairstyle… facing the master’s praise, the maid didn’t hold back her smile.

After Luo Qiu left, the club lounge lights went out one by one, and the maid sat in the chair, leaving one light on.

She didn’t close her eyes, but instead picked up a cookbook, “Chinese breakfast… what to prepare.”
