Building a Technological Power Starting with the Type 59 missile and Going Astray in Technological Development

Chapter 193: Report on the Arctic RouteChapter 193: Report on the Arctic Route
Lin Chenran wants to open the Arctic route in spring and winter, but he needs to go north to the Russian Bear first to negotiate with the other party and ensure that the other party can profit from it.

At present, he does not have enough bargaining chips to negotiate with the Russian Bear because the large icebreaker has not yet been built.

He needed to wait until the 704 Shipyard completed the construction of the large icebreaker before taking any action.

And by then, about half a year later, it was winter and the timing was just right.

At that time, Lin Chenran will go to Russia again to negotiate with Kovlevich and the forces behind him.

This plan requires the support of Yan Country.

So, in front of Song Xiyun, Lin Chenran picked up the phone on the table and called his grandfather.

”Beep beep...”

There was a friendly laugh from the other end of the phone.

”Xiao Linzi, how come you have time to call grandpa today? Have you encountered any difficulties?” Grandpa Lin’s voice revealed concern and confusion.

Lin Chenran smiled slightly, with a hint of determination in his eyes. He answered directly: ”Grandpa, I have a plan and I want to hear your opinion.”

Mr. Lin on the other end of the phone took it seriously instantly, and his originally relaxed tone turned serious.

He knew that his grandson would not easily call to seek advice, and that there must be something important to discuss with him.

After a moment of silence, Mr. Lin asked, ”Oh? What’s the plan? Tell me about it.”

Lin Chenran took a deep breath and described his plan in detail to his grandfather.

After hearing Lin Chenran’s plan, Mr. Lin on the other end of the phone fell silent.

Thinking about whether this plan can be implemented.

The birth of a new waterway involves enormous interests.

Just look at the Suez Canal and you will know that the country to which it belongs does almost nothing and money flows into its pockets just by lying down every day.

Every time a cargo ship passed by, a voice seemed to ring in its pocket: ”Account received...”

”Account received...”

”Account received...”

It is comparable to Saudi Arabia, the oil-rich country in the Camel Region.

If Yan Country can get a share of the Arctic shipping route, it will definitely inject a new boost to Yan Country’s economic development.

After listening to Lin Chenran’s introduction, Mr. Lin said with emotion: ”Xiao Lin, your plan is very bold!”

”Will the Mao Bear give us concessions?”

The Russian bear has a firm control over the entire Arctic Circle.

And its shipyard is very developed.

They also have large icebreakers.

Mr. Lin couldn’t help but question: ”How can you be sure that the Russian bear won’t just eat all the food?”

However, facing Mr. Lin’s questioning, Lin Chenran smiled slightly and answered confidently: ”Grandpa, of course I can’t be sure whether the Russian bear will eat alone.”

”If we don’t help attract tourists, how much profit can the Russian bear make by opening the spring and winter Arctic shipping routes on its own?”

Without a huge customer base, even if the Arctic route is opened in spring and winter, the profits earned will be very small.

Even if Russia owns the entire Arctic route and no cargo ships pass through it, it will make very little money.

The main reason is that the reputation of the Russian bear is not very good internationally.

At this time, Yan State is needed to act as a ”lubricant” in the middle.

Only cooperation can lead to win-win results!

When Mr. Lin listened to his grandson’s words, he felt that what he said made sense.

In addition, cooperation between the two sides in the joint development of the Arctic route can ease the relationship between Yan Country and Russia.

In fact, there are also some ideas among the top leaders of the Russian Bear that want to ease relations with the Yan Country.

It’s just that they haven’t found the right ”step” so far. If the relationship between the two sides can be eased through cooperation on the Arctic route, it will be a huge breakthrough.

The Russian side is very happy to accept such a proposal.

Today’s domestic situation in the Russian bear country is turbulent and social instability factors are increasing.

Coupled with Western sanctions, the country is facing a shortage of supplies and people’s lives have been affected.

They urgently need a large amount of light industrial goods to meet domestic market demand and stabilize people’s hearts.

As one of the world’s largest manufacturing countries, Yan State has sufficient production capacity and resource advantages.

It will be beneficial for both parties to reach cooperation.

”Since you are so confident, I will certainly support you. However, this is no small matter and requires careful consideration.” Old Master Lin looked serious and his eyes were sharp.

He knew very well that this matter was of great importance and that he could not make a decision lightly.

”I will take the ’Arctic Route Plan’ to discuss with the leaders later.” Grandpa Lin said seriously.

”Thank you, Grandpa.” Lin Chenran said gratefully.

”Why are you being so polite to me?” Old Master Lin frowned and said slowly, ”Do we really need to be like this between grandfather and grandson? As long as you work hard, it will be the greatest reward for me!”

The 077 Mechanical Military Factory is now the trump card of Yan State’s military industry.

The equipment of the three services of navy, army and air force are all involved, and missiles can also be designed.

After chatting for a while, Lin Chenran and the other person hung up the phone.

Song Xiyun, who was standing by, looked at Lin Chenran with a smile on his face and knew that the spring and winter Arctic passage plan had been recognized at the national level.

……

Linjiang Province 077 Machinery Military Factory

At this time, Lin Chenran was meeting several important guests in the conference room.

”Mr. Ma, welcome to the 077 Mechanical Arsenal!”

Lin Chenran enthusiastically stepped forward and shook hands with Ma Fengshan.

Ma Fengshan was flattered when he saw this, and stretched out his hand and shook it tightly with the other party.

”Thank you Mr. Lin for taking the time out of your busy schedule to meet with an old man like me.”

Lin Chenran smiled slightly: ”You are a veteran in the industry. No matter how busy I am, I will come to meet you.”

Ma Fengshan: Chief designer of the Yan Guoyun-10 aircraft.

When Lin Chenran saw Ma Fengshan bringing the design and development team of the Y-10 aircraft to the 077 Mechanical Military Factory, he guessed roughly.

Sure enough, it was just as Lin Chenran guessed.

Ma Fengshan wanted to merge the Y-10 large aircraft design and development team into the 077 Mechanical Military Factory and restart the research on large aircraft.

The superiors have decided to stop the research on the Y-10 aircraft and instead cooperate with the American McDonnell Douglas Corporation.

Last year, we cooperated with McDonnell Douglas to implement the McDonnell Douglas 82 project in Shanghai.

However, Ma Fengshan discovered that the McDonnell Douglas 82 project was an assembly project from beginning to end, and they had no access to the core technology at all.

So, Ma Fengshan reported this discovery.

But the desired result was not obtained.

The contract has been signed, and now we have no choice but to ”go ahead” and continue to cooperate with McDonnell Douglas.

Ma Fengshan had no choice but to use his connections to find the Yan State military.

The Yan State military didn’t have much of a solution and could only point out a clear way for Ma Fengshan, which was to go to the 077 Mechanical Military Factory in Linjiang Province.

That’s right, the 077 Machinery Arsenal has once again become the “big victim”.

Lin Chenran: Listen to me saying thank you, because you make the four seasons warm!
Big enemy: 077 Mechanical Arsenal!
