Summoners War: Only I Summoned Divine Beasts

Chapter 950: Divinity

”Thatʼs… might be possible. While it might look like it is a waste of ena, if we nurture the weapon spirit, it can help us in the long run.” Jinwu squinted his eyes.

”However, finding such a thing is not easy. I mean, where would you find a ghost?” Nidhogg glanced at Anubis.

”Well… To find such a thing… itʼs probably from a human in this world. Itʼs too late if you wait for them to go to the underworld.” Anubis shook his head. ”Besides, we have to carefully consider his karma, so itʼs best not to take a malevolent spirit.”

”This is, for now, just an idea, so itʼs not like weʼre rushing to get one.” Fenrir shrugged.

”Yeah. This is just an idea. Still, if I can store ten contracts, it might be extremely beneficial…” Nathan smirked. ”In addition, unlike the contracts that I have previously, one where I can use the wind element by saying the trigger word, I can destroy the contract as I like.

”In other words, if I make a contract with a Tier 3 magic circle, I can remove it if I donʼt use it, meaning I donʼt have to waste my ena or simply ban myself from saying one word for the rest of my life.”

”Fair enough. I bet youʼre going to use a few as trump cards for the time being.” Anubis asked.

”Yes. I will probably use it for an absolute ice element or a space element for a trump card, depending on whether I require offensive power or simply want to escape,” explained Nathan. ”As for the rest, I havenʼt thought about it. I need more experiments to do it.”

”Do you want to try a magic circle?” Mae asked while raising her hand, forming a magic circle.

Nathan thought for a moment before glancing at his weapon. He took out two magazines and formed a contract.

”In exchange for 1,000 ena, the magic circle has to be stored inside the contract and be activated again once Nathan says, ʼActivate.ʼ”

The contract was burned away.

”It failed… Maybe itʼs because Iʼm not specific. Whatʼs the name of this magic circle?”

”Illusory Dream.”

”In exchange for 1,000 ena, the magic circle, Illusory Dream, is to be stored inside the contract and get activated again once Nathan says, ʼActivate.ʼ”

The contract was reduced to ashes once again.

”It failed… again. Well, we can experiment with it later. For now, there is a more important matter.” Nathan waved his hand. ”Right now, I have around 1,350,000 ena.

”If I want to summon a lucky beast with 300,000 ena and somehow stay… maybe I can go as low as 400,000 ena since thatʼs when my contract is updated… And itʼs not that far from 500,000, where I get the quality upgraded.

”That means I can donate 600,000 ena, leaving me with 450,000 something ena.

”In other words, only half of you will be able to utilize your divinity this time.

”Letʼs decide who will become stronger.” Nathan smiled.

Previously, they had agreed that Peng or Mae would not take it since Peng had his huge body, while Maeʼs ability was less preferred against an alien, which was the purpose of the next trip.

But this time, they had to choose three. With the addition of Nathanʼs upgraded contract, the way they would fight might change.

Mae raised her hand. ”If I may speak, thereʼs one person Iʼd like to recommend. Itʼs Anubis. While itʼs true that Anubis has fulfilled his role well enough, his divinity is extremely versatile for this group.

”After all, Anubis had mentioned previously that the divinity he had was related to the preservation of oneʼs body. In other words, if there is a severed limb, he might be able to reattach it as long as we still have that severed limb.

”This will be beneficial for our dangerous trip. We can be slower in the exploration, but we canʼt return after losing a limb or two.”

Anubis thought for a moment before adding, ”My divinity is known as Adjudication. Basically, it involves both my ankh and scale. For my ankh, Mae has explained the benefit. For my scale, it will allow me to manifest my scale to reality, which wonʼt be powerful enough to judge a person but powerful enough to punish them. Itʼs basically an attack ability.”

Nathan closed his eyes for a moment before glancing at the others.

”Well, if you are talking about me, my divinity is the sun.” Jinwu shrugged. ”If you choose me, I can manipulate heat in the area. Iʼm sure youʼve heard my legend about burning the Earth. Well, thatʼs it.

”With that little divinity, I can probably turn a rainforest into a desert. If Iʼm able to reach my peak power, I can burn the whole world.”

”I have told you about my divinity.” Fenrir nodded. ”Itʼs my absolute power.”

Nidhogg thought for a moment before saying, ”My divinity is related to chaos. Basically, my flame will transform once more. It will start to affect the very structure itself.

”For example, if I burn a tree right now, it will just be reduced to ashes because my fire is just a stronger version of normal fire right now.

”However, Chaos Fire is different. The tree might start to disintegrate because of my fire. Thatʼs because the structures that make up that tree are getting so chaotic that theyʼre moving apart from each other.

”You can consider it as a simpler version of directional control that you have seen from Duke Coline.”

Nathan closed his eyes. Anubis was definitely the best choice. That meant he had to choose two more beasts between Fenrir, Nidhogg, and Jinwu. Mae and Peng didnʼt plan to join the debate, so Nathan had to choose the combination that could make the trip safer.

Of course, he had to consider the upgraded soul contract as well, since the situation would change drastically once the contract came into play. Besides, Jinwu and Nidhoggʼs roles were similar, considering they were usually holding back the flying aliens.

After five minutes of silence, Nathan opened his eyes as though he had made his decision.
