Summoners War: Only I Summoned Divine Beasts

Chapter 940: Traveling to Another Continent

Selena was sitting between Nathanʼs legs, leaning on his chest. Meanwhile, Nathan just hugged her lightly while saying, ”Iʼm glad that your father doesnʼt oppose our relationship.”

”Me too. If he opposed it, I would have done everything I could to make him accept it.” Selena nodded in agreement. ”Fortunately, itʼs not necessary.”

”What are you? Are you trying to beat up your father?” Nathan smiled wryly.

”Beat up? Iʼm not such a barbaric woman. I… just want to have a little chat with him.” Selena pouted.

Nathan chuckled. They had accomplished all their goals, so it was time to look at their future. ”So, what are you going to do now?”

”What do you mean? If youʼre talking about going back to the Ashton family, it would be just for several days.”

”No. I mean, what are you planning to do to grow your strength?”

”Thatʼs…” Selena looked down. She truly couldnʼt say she wanted to join the battle against the Divine Hand.

Nathan seemed to have realized it and became the first one to mention it. ”Do you want to join me against the Divine Hand?”

”!!!” Selena raised her eyebrows. ”Is that…”

Selena was unsure. If she uttered a wrong word, it would feel like she was the one trying to influence him.

Nathan smiled. ”Yes. I donʼt mind. In fact, I have been meaning to ask the girls to join the fight as well. This will be a good time for them to grow.”

”…” Selena looked down, falling into deep thought. ”Actually, Teacher asked me about it.”

”Figured.” Nathan shrugged. ”But that doesnʼt matter. Itʼll be fine if you end up joining. After all, fighting the Divine Hand is much harder than anyoneʼs imagination.

”We need to conserve our strength as much as possible so that we can take them down in one fell swoop.

”Your help is necessary. Of course, I will also try to convince them about this, so you donʼt have to worry about it.”

”In that case, I want to go.” Selena nodded. ”I will make sure to kill the targets.”

”Actually, there is another reason for me asking you to join this battle.”

”Hmm?” Selena raised her eyebrows, not seeing any other reason.

Nathan raised a finger. ”I plan to go to another continent.”

”!!!” Selena looked surprised. She misunderstood it as him trying to figure out the truth about the aliens.

Nathan soon explained, ”The Divine Hand wouldnʼt be created if not for the interference of another continent.

”Thatʼs why I want to ask Lilith about our continent. If we figure out where we are, we can cross the sea and head to another continent. From the looks of it, Erendtall is most likely the culprit.

”So, information about that continent will help a lot.”

Selena noticed something off from his tone. ”Why do you sound like youʼre not planning to bring us?”

Nathan smiled wryly. ”Thatʼs because I donʼt.”

”!!!” Selena looked surprised. This travel would be much more dangerous than anything they had seen so far. After all, it was a very long trip, and there was no telling what they would encounter in the sea or on the new continent. ”Reasons?”

Nathan raised two fingers this time. ”The first reason is because this expedition is dangerous in one way or another. Iʼm planning to figure out whatʼs going on with the alien as well, but the first objective is just fulfilling a certain personʼs revenge.

”While itʼs true that you guys are bold enough to face such a challenge, Iʼm worried about something. Itʼs not your safety. We can do our best to protect each other, but Iʼm worried that everything I have built here will crumble.

”Although I havenʼt confirmed it yet, there are two people who are related to that revenge in our city. They are my teacher, Vivian, and Professor Melissa.”

”Ah!” Selena almost forgot about this. Nathan had built a lot of things on this continent, whether it was his connections or inventions.

If Nathan left this continent, there was a high chance people would take this chance to seize things he had built.

Even the king might try to absorb the newly built city if he knew Nathan died. That was why there should be people to protect it.

If Selena and the other girls followed him, the city would be left undefended. Even the Dragon King wouldnʼt really protect it since Alavenya wasnʼt there.

That left only Vivian, who might also go.

Hence, they had to remain. While it was true that going to another continent might be fun, as they could learn a new thing, it wasnʼt a necessity.

Instead, there should be something else they should do.

If Flora remained, the kingdom would remain silent. Alavenya would be the assurance for the Dragon King. Sera and Noelle would keep everyone in check, while she would oversee everything.

However, Selena saw one more thing that Nathan hadnʼt considered yet.

Selena said, ”In that case, I will stay behind. Iʼll protect everything youʼve built here and become a reason for you to return here.

”At the same time, we wonʼt be idle. I will lead the girls to find any trace of the alien that helped the hero 500 years ago.”

Nathan was surprised. That was indeed true. In the end, there should be one clue on this continent. Although it was 500 years ago, there was a chance that the alien hadnʼt died.

So, they should search for it.

Nathan smiled. ”It seems I havenʼt put enough thought into it. Thatʼs true.”

Selena nodded. ”Thatʼs why you donʼt have to worry about us. Iʼll take care of everything here. Just donʼt forget to bring a souvenir. Iʼm quite curious about that continent.

”Once youʼre able to cross the ocean, the second time will be much easier anyway, so itʼs not like we donʼt have any chance to go on such a trip in the future. So, go. I will support your decision. It seems Lilithʼs information will be crucial. You can ask her later… or should I meet that person directly?”

Nathan knew the ʼpersonʼ in her mouth was actually Evelyn. He smiled wryly. ”Well, I will discuss it first. But thank you…”

”Thank you again…”

”What? Iʼm just saying thank you so that you are not the only one who breaks the rule.” Nathan stuck out his tongue playfully.

Both of them looked at each other for a moment before having a big laugh.
