Summoners War: Only I Summoned Divine Beasts

Chapter 661: World Class Summoners

”Five world class summoners, huh?” Nathan looked up, falling into deep thought.

”Yes. Usually, if you have the quality to become a world class summoner, the royal family wouldnʼt hesitate to marry a prince or princess to you, depending on your gender. This way, you will legally have the power of a duke or duchess.

”Considering I have gained the cooperation of two world class summoners, Iʼm above the rest.

”However, once I lose my succession right, Duke Sullivan is probably going to be recalled by my father. I have managed to gain the full loyalty of Duke Coline. So, even if I fall, Duke Coline will definitely do his best to help me.

”Of course, I donʼt want to waste his effort on something small. Besides, I wish for him to continue protecting the kingdom instead of me.”

Nathan squinted his eyes. ”If the Sword Saint is recalled by the royal family, what about Noelle?”

Flora shrugged as if she were helpless to such a useless question. ”Of course she will be with us. Her priority is not just me, you know?”

”…” Nathan smiled wryly. ”No wonder my teacher called him the matchmaking saint instead of the sword saint.”

”Pfft.” Flora chuckled. ”Although Duke Sullivan is a military guy, he is quite shrewd, you know? Should I say… He might have predicted that I would lose my succession right and told us to go to your side the moment he saw the disaster.”

”All of them are old foxes… The war minister, the sword saint…” Nathan sighed.

”I canʼt deny that.”

”So, once you lose that title, I guess everyone except for a small number of followers like Duke Coline will leave your side?”

Flora thought for a moment. ”From what I can see, there are four people I believe will stay by my side no matter what. And Duke Coline is the second.”

”The second?” Nathan raised his eyebrows. ”Not the first?”

”Yes. The first will be Duchess Lena.”

”She is the first? Why?” Nathan frowned.

”Ah. I know you are oblivious, but I have never thought it is this bad.” Flora pointed at herself. ”My name is Flora Vietta Ezelia. However, thatʼs because I was born in the royal family. If Iʼm not, my name should be Flora Ivorial.”

”!!!” Nathan widened his eyes in shock. ”Ivorial? Wait. You and the duchess…”

”Yeah. Weʼre related. Duchess Lena is my motherʼs twin sister.”

”Twin sister? This has become even more absurd than I imagine…”

”Thatʼs right. My mother is Rena Ivorial. While my mother is protecting me from the royal court and politics, my aunt is the one teaching me from politics to familiars.” She sighed. ”After losing my succession right, she will probably return to Aunt… No, wait. Since we have developed the territory given to her as a bride price, I guess she will come here? At that time, meet her, will you?”

Nathan scratched the back of his head. ”I understand. She is going to be my mother-in-law, so I will greet her. Besides…”

”Besides… what?”

”Nothing.” Nathan shook his head. He thought it wouldnʼt be the time to talk about it yet.

”Besides what? Donʼt tell me, youʼre aiming for my mother too? Just so you know, the entire kingdom will definitely hunt you down, you know?”

”What kind of person am I in your mind?” Nathan sighed. ”Iʼm not talking about your mother. Itʼs about your aunt.”

”Donʼt tell me…” She gasped.

”Itʼs about continental travel. Also, stop with that acting.”

”Continental travel? Ah. Traveling to a distant land across the sea?”

”Yes. The way they utilize their power might be different from us. Learning more might not necessarily be a bad thing, right?” Nathan looked away, adding inwardly, ʼWell, there is also a matter of the culprits of the Bloody Banquet coming from another continent.

ʼAlthough we can travel with our familiars, itʼs best to know more about the sea from the expert who is guarding the sea.ʼ

”I see. Thatʼs indeed a possibility, not that we can do it now. Maybe once I lose the succession right, we can go to her. I should also apologize for betraying her expectations.”

”Well, itʼs not urgent, so itʼs fine.” Nathan looked down, falling into deep thought. ”Now that I think about it, how many world class summoners are there in our land?”

”World class summoners? To be honest, Iʼm not exactly sure. In the first place, this classification has just been introduced recently, so thereʼs no way to test everyone about it.”

”Fair enough. Iʼm just curious because you said there are five world class summoners from the Azilia Kingdom, but are you including Sage Leyfon? Although there are two world class summoners directly reporting to the royal family, you would have mentioned his name earlier.”

”Ah!” Flora shook her head. ”There are three types of world class summoners. The first type is for those summoners affiliated with a kingdom. In this case, the Azilia Kingdom has 5, the Beast Kingdom has 4, the Holy Kingdom has 6, and the Liaystian Kingdom has 9.”

”9 world class summoners?” Nathan widened his eyes in shock.

”Indeed. I mean, look at Rudeusʼ behavior. The Liaystian Kingdom is a superpower nation that is led by greedy bastards. If they see people having the potential to become world class summoners, theyʼll definitely try to seize them. Theyʼre the ones who throw away princes or princesses or nobles as long as it means they can get a world class summoner.”

”Ah…” Nathan looked up, thinking, ʼEvelynʼs family, the Lavender family, is from the Liaystian Kingdom, right? They donʼt hesitate to massacre Bellaʼs family, including using an underhanded tactic to make Evelyn marry their prince to bind her to the Liaystian Kingdom. I can finally understand why Rudeus behaved that way.ʼ

Flora continued, ”The second type is for those who are affiliated with a certain influence, which doesnʼt directly link to the four kingdoms. Because of their strength and their influence, they are granted a certain right to move freely as long as they donʼt cause trouble. And most of the time, the four kingdoms will work together with them and even give them a lot of things.”
