Summoners War: Only I Summoned Divine Beasts

Chapter 653: Assignments

”Look, Nathan. Weʼll be together for this mission. Iʼm looking forward to it. Hehehe.”

Her laugh sounded as if she had an evil plan in mind. Even the others could see through her intention.

Nathan felt like this wasnʼt going to be an easy mission one way or another.

”…” Nathan nodded calmly, as though he couldnʼt see through the meaning behind her laugh. ”Indeed. Please take care of me. The mission will be hard this time, so we have to be careful.

”Now that the groups are divided, which group will go to which place?” Nathan asked, shifting back to the topic.

Sera looked down, falling into deep thought. After a minute, she replied, ”Group 1, Selena and Alavenya, will go to the Dark Arena. Thereʼs a chance that you will have to fight in that arena and make your way in and handle the one responsible for this arena.

”Group 2, Noelle and I, will go to the brothel. While itʼs true Noelle is not truly suitable for a covert mission, thereʼs a high chance we will fight here as well. Hence, itʼs better for us to handle the brothel.

”Group 3, Nathan and Flora, will have to handle this Crimson Skeleton. They probably wonʼt surrender, so just blast them.”

”Shouldnʼt Group 2 and Group 3 be the other way around?” Alavenya asked.

Selena slapped Alavenyaʼs hand while glaring at her.

”W-What? Why did you hit…” Alavenya abruptly stopped.

She almost forgot that they were talking about Nathan. Alavenya thought since Nathan was a man, entering a brothel wouldnʼt be hard. At the same time, these women definitely wouldnʼt allow Nathan to go to such a place, even if they had to dry him up.

All the reasons Sera had given away were just superficial. This was the real reason.

”Ahaha…” Nathan scratched the back of his head. Even if he had to handle the brothel, he wouldnʼt be handling it that way. Even though this was just a mission, he would feel uncomfortable if the situation was reversed. That was why he would try to do it in another way.

”Anyway, this will be the arrangement.” Sera coughed to grab their attention back. ”Iʼll be talking about the Dark Arena now.

”The Dark Arena is a place where they force people to fight for entertainment. The one who organizes everything is called Mr. E. Thereʼs no information about his real identity.

”However, itʼs said that Mr. E often visits the Dark Arena and handles it right there. If you apprehend him, thereʼs a chance others will riot. If itʼs not possible to capture him, you may kill him.

”Mr. E has two great subordinates. They are the ones protecting him. According to the new classifications, they should be master class summoners. However, theyʼre not the problem.

”The Dark Arena itself has a lot of fighters, and they donʼt necessarily come from the outside. Instead, thereʼs a rumor about him taking care of summoners and raising them in that arena.

”You might also have to fight those summoners on top of his bodyguard, and Mr. E himself is a grandmaster class summoner. Thatʼs why he knows how to arrange everything and no one really wants to provoke him.

”In addition to the suspicion about the summoners being the kidnapped people, thereʼs also an option to save them.

”If you can, save them. If you canʼt, thereʼs no need to risk your life for it. Although it sounds cruel, no one knows about them being kidnapped by students yet, so itʼs considered an unforeseeable situation.

”You can complete your mission according to your discretion.”

Selena and Alavenya exchanged looks. The situation was complex, so they had to be decisive.

After some thoughts, they nodded their heads, reaching a tacit agreement.

Sera continued, ”For our second group, the brothel is as I already explained previously. They are using summoners and familiars to entertain the guests.

”And the biggest problem is that they actually create a small orphanage. Theyʼre forcing those summoners to breed as many children as they can, which will eventually kill them, especially if we insert the drug into the entire picture.

”Theyʼre trying to use those babies to create another supply of summoners for the brothel and repeat the process. If we canʼt stop them right now, the cycle will continue, which is unforgivable.

”If possible, we should save as many people as possible. If necessary, I will also ask for some help from the Holy Kingdom. At the very least, the children are innocent. If they can, they should be raised in legitimate orphanages managed by the kingdom.”

Noelle couldnʼt help but clench her fist. A brothel? It was basically a summoner ranch. They truly had to be stopped.

”Who is their leader?”

”They have two managers, the one dealing with the brothel and the other is taking care of the orphanage. Weʼll first take care of the brothel, which is managed by a manager called Rei.

”The brothel itself is not a concern. The main problem will be the orphanage. Itʼs said that the one handling the orphanage is a grandmaster. If we attack them without a plan, we might end up getting defeated.”

Noelle nodded. ”Understood. There must be a lot of people protecting that orphanage. In fact, we might have to direct their attention so that no one can help the orphanage for one reason or another.”

”Yes. The scale of this operation is much bigger than the other two targets, so Iʼm thinking about asking a certain someone for help.” Sera winked playfully. ”Weʼll discuss the details once we reach that place, Noelle.”

”Got it. The battle will be hard, so having more help will ensure the safety of a lot of people, whether theyʼre the summoners or those children. Weʼre going to kill this guy, right?”

”Capturing him is preferable. But I donʼt think itʼs possible. He must be resisting, so no one is going to say anything if we end up killing him in the process.”

Noelle nodded in agreement.

Sera turned to Nathan. ”As for the last one…”
