Summoners War: Only I Summoned Divine Beasts

Chapter 643: Family Battle (1)

”Kh.” Irving gritted his teeth, looking at his sword. ʼWhat kind of power is this? This kind of strength coming from someone who has just stepped into the world of summoners?

ʼShe is not even a second year at the Frexia Academy.ʼ When he was in the academy, his strength wasnʼt this powerful. In fact, he wasnʼt talented enough to become a part of the student council.

Even when he graduated from it, he could barely kill a mature class alien.

Yet someone who hadnʼt even reached her second year had the ability to overpower him?

”Kill her!” Irving shouted in frustration.

The three familiars consisted of a centaur, a dark elf, and a skeleton archer.

Selena knew that she had to be careful against the centaurʼs strength, the dark elfʼs sneak attack, and the archerʼs ranged attack. Still, they werenʼt an enemy that she couldnʼt fight by herself.

Seeing the frustration on Irvingʼs face, the centaur charged first, carrying his long broadsword on the side.

When it was about to reach Selena, he raised his sword before lifting his body up, using the extra height to produce more power.

The moment Selena was about to raise her wand to block the attack, the dark elf looped around her and hit her from the right side, leaving a huge splash of dark ena.

”!!!” Unfortunately for the dark elf, Selena actually saw her attack coming from miles away. There was a shield appearing out of nowhere, blocking that attack.

The dark elf panicked when her gaze met Selenaʼs. He hurriedly jumped away to avoid any attacks from Selena.

Now that the annoying elf was gone, Selena lifted up her wand, creating a sweeping force to counter the centaurʼs slash.

The centaur felt overwhelmed, but he still tried fighting against the pressure, but to no avail. He was knocked back by the sweeping force but had yet to take a step back.

The centaur was planning to launch the second slash, even if it was weaker than the first one.

After all, right at that instant, the skeleton archer gathered his ena to form his arrow before shooting Selena from the other side.

The centaur switched his stance in order to stop Selenaʼs movement so that she couldnʼt block the arrow.

In addition, the dark elf had stopped moving, ready to launch another attack when there was a chance.

Surrounded by all those attacks, Selena simply stomped the ground. Her foot carried the power of two ʼConcentrationʼ and one ʼSpeed,ʼ allowing her to complete her attack before they arrived.

”!!!”

With the ground turning into a crater, Selena ended up being on the lower level compared to their attacks. The arrow ultimately missed.

The centaur and the dark elf, who were within the crater, lost their footing, making their stance unstable.

Selena, on the other hand, never really needed a footing since she specialized in ena control. She waved her wand skillfully, creating a sweeping force that hit the centaur from the left side, launching him toward the dark elf.

”!!!” The centaur and the dark elf panicked as the centaur crashed into him.

Sadly, Selena couldnʼt form another attack. The one who had been waiting for such an opportunity was none other than her uncle.

He had been staying at a close distance so that the moment Selena pushed away from the centaur, he would be there to attack her.

”Die!” Irvingʼs attack was swift and deadly. If it were anyone else, they would be forced to throw his body away to avoid it.

Yet, instead of running away, Selena actually used the ʼSpeedʼ to conjure enough ena to simply deflect Irvingʼs attack. She struck his sword with her wand.

The blood-red energy from the sword flared up, but they were soon dispersed by Selenaʼs ena.

”!!!” Irving gritted his teeth. He never thought Selena would still be fast enough to stop that attack.

Even so, he couldnʼt let go of this rare chance. He struck Selena in rapid succession, trying to overwhelm her with his sword.

Selena took a deep breath and actually challenged him head-on. She blocked one swing after another, not letting a single one of them even touch a single strand of her hair.

Irving looked frustrated. He had trained his swordsmanship a lot. In terms of close combat, he should be beyond Selena, considering Selena was actively using her ena like a magician instead of a swordsman.

However, there was one miscalculation on his part. That was the fact that Selena had seen better swordsmanship, which was none other than Noelleʼs. In addition, the Frexia Academy taught their students basic close combat, so even if Selena couldnʼt win against him, she could still stop him.

Noticing that the countʼs attack had failed, the three familiars joined in. The centaur approached her from behind.

Selena turned around and adjusted her stance, smacking the sword away. Before she could stop the countʼs next attack, the dark elf struck her from behind.

Selena activated her coat, turning it into a shield that protected her body.

As if expecting this result, the dark elf jumped away and threw a knife imbued with her ena, forcing Selena to form a shield to block that attack.

The skeleton used this opportunity to snipe Selena from afar. With her having a shield on that part, she shouldnʼt be able to create another shield strong enough to block that arrow.

And he predicted it correctly.

Selena was forced to jump back, avoiding the arrow at the last second. That action caused her stance to be unstable.

The count and the centaur instantly struck her, releasing two crescent-shaped waves that joined together to create an ʼXʼ shape.

Selena blocked it with her wand, but she didnʼt have enough time to conjure enough ena to block this attack. She ended up getting pushed back by several meters.

She would be able to launch a counterattack if this was the last of it. Still, the Count was much older than her, so his experience was richer than hers.

When she focused on defending, several bats suddenly attached themselves to her arms and back.

”!!!” Selena raised her eyebrows, noticing what these blood bats could do.

”Die!”

Boom!
